After the Secret Wedding Rise of My Queen

Chapter 278

Chapter 278 Xander Gets Intimate With Isabel

The conversation reached a standstill as the two of them left the tent together, walking past Rachel and heading out.

Rachel stood still like a wooden post, her perfectly made-up face twisted into an ugly, terrifying expression of jealousy and anger.

Harriet had been secretly watching from a distance. As she observed Rachel's retreating figure, her heart swelled with sympathy, and she couldn't help but wish she could slap Isabel hard for what she had done.noveldrama

Harriet approached Rachel from behind and gently patted her on the shoulder.

"Rachel, don't be upset, you-" Harriet said, walking up beside her. But as she caught sight of Rachel's frightening face, she froze, at a loss for words.

Is this Rachel?

How could she be showing such a dreadful expression? It was completely unlike the sweet, gentle Rachel she knew.

After a moment, Rachel seemed to snap out of it and quickly put on a pitiful, helpless expression.

"I'm not upset, not at all," she said, wiping away a tear as she spoke.

Seeing Rachel's wronged expression, Harriet shook her head. She must have been mistaken earlier. There was no way Rachel could have shown such a malicious look.

It was probably just the dark surroundings around them that were playing tricks on her eyes.

"Alright, Rachel... don't cry. Crying won't solve anything," Harriet said, pulling Rachel into her arms. "Don't worry. Xander has a sharp eye, and his ability to read people is second to none. He might be confused right now, but I'm sure that before long, he'll realize how wicked Isabel truly is, and he'll push her as far away as possible."

"I hope so," Rachel's voice was faint and weak.

Hearing Rachel's tone, Harriet felt even more certain that she had simply misjudged Rachel before.

After the fireworks ended, everyone returned to their tents to rest.

Isabel glanced over at the neighboring tent and pursed her lips.

"What are you looking at?" A low, pleasant voice came from behind, pulling Isabel's thoughts back.

"There!" Isabel lifted her chin, pointing at the tent next to them.

Xander followed her gaze and smirked. "Are you jealous?"

"I" Isabel began, about to explain, but before she could say anything, Xander pushed her down onto the ground. The force was so intense that the whole tent shook.

Max's tent, which was right next to Xander's, immediately sensed the commotion.

"Wow! Xander is so freaking bold! With so many people around and the tents not soundproof, he dares to do this?" Max glanced over at Yvette, a mischievous grin on his face.

Yvette immediately crossed her arms in front of her, giving Max a wary, defensive look. She shifted slightly to create more space between them, keeping a safe distance. en

"W-what are you trying to do?"

What's the matter? Why am I stammering?

Yvette's nervousness only seemed to ignite Max's wild side.

"If Xander isn't afraid, why should I be?" Max said with a smirk.

Vel

"Screw you! Max, I'm warning you! Don't even think about it! You're shameless, but I still have some dignity left!" Yvette's heart raced, her face turning bright red.

They were out in the middle of nowhere, and not only were the tents not soundproof, but there were people all around. After tonight, would she be able to face anyone tomorrow?

"Don't worry, we'll keep it quiet. No one will hear us," Max said with a determined look.

Yvette could tell he was hell-bent.

No way!

I have to get out of there.

Quickly, Yvette scrambled to her feet, reaching for the tent's zipper.

But Max was faster than her.
