Chapter 279
Chapter 279 Get Realnoveldrama
Before Yvette could finish unzipping the tent, Max suddenly swept her off her feet from behind. "Ahh!" Yvette screamed in reflex.
Her cry made everyone pause in stunned silence.
Wasn't that a bit too much, especially out in the middle of nowhere? Yvette was pregnant, after all.
Isabel was caught off guard by Yvette's scream. She tilted her head toward the direction of Yvette's tent.
Xander was also drawn by the noise. He quickly returned his gaze to the girl beneath him.
"You want it too?" He asked with a playful grin.
Isabel's eyes widened, clearly written, not a chance.
"I'm just looking," she answered coolly.
"Oh?" Xander lowered his body, closing the distance between them.
Isabel glanced down at herself, feeling her heart race unexpectedly, though her face remained a perfect mask of indifference.
She couldn't show the slightest hint of embarrassment. If she did, he'd seize the opportunity and take full advantage of her hesitation.
"Can you get off me? One moment, everything's fine, and then you suddenly pin me down. What's that about?"
Isabel was a master at changing the subject.
Xander glanced toward Rachel's tent outside. "You were staring at it for a while. Doesn't it bother you that she set up her tent right next to ours?"
You're overthinking it, Isabel answered quickly, brushing off the question.
Xander wasn't quite satisfied with her response, but he didn't press the issue.
He knew better than to argue with her. Isabel had a talent for dodging every confrontation, twisting the conversation with ease.
If he bothered about this, he'd only drive himself mad.
The best way to handle Isabel, he thought, was to throw all caution to the wind.
I don't run this place. Rachel can set her tent wherever she likes, and I can't do anything about it, Xander said, offering a shrug.
"I told you, I don't care. I didn't think much of it. You don't need to explain to me," Isabel replied flatly.
"If you do care, though, I have a way to upset Rachel," Xander said, clearly not caring about Isabel's indifference.
Isabel sighed in disbelief, and twitched her eyes slightly before asking, "What's your plan?"
She truly wasn't bothered, but Rachel had always rubbed her the wrong way. She found her disgusting and Isabel had suspicions about Rachel's
involvement in the incidentel
Jessica at the club.
If she'd been able to uncover the truth, she would've confronted Rachel by now.
Xander smirked and let his gaze fall on the girl's curves. "We could make some noise, like Max and the others did." Was it just his imagination? Lately, he had noticed that the girl's figure seemed to be maturing in certain areas.
She was already stunning, her shape catching eyes wherever she went. If she kept getting more voluptuous, though, things could get dangerous.
Isabel gave him an exaggerated eye roll but said nothing, letting him figure it out for himself.
He was using Rachel as an excuse to get closer to her.
She remembered that rainy night all too well. Her voice had been hoarse from moaning, and Xander's persistence had been nearly unbearable.
Even though he had been feverish,
he'd nearly pushed her to her
breaking point. If he was in better health now, the noise they made would surely be unbearable, forcing everyone to leave the camp.
No one could tolerate it.
And she'd be the one to blame.
She wasn't about to let that happen.
"We're just putting on a show, after all." Xander said, when he noticed her resistance.
What do you think?
