Trouble in Paradise

Chapter 0676

I could hardly believe it-something even Neal couldn't achieve, Nicholas managed effortlessly. The evidence against Nelson was laid bare for everyone to see.

I stared coldly at Nelson, already envisioning his inevitable downfall.

It turned out that beyond his flesh trade, he had also ventured into the heinous business of organ trafficking. With such direct evidence of this black market chain exposed, there was no way he'd survive this.

At that moment, Nelson finally snapped to his senses. He roared viciously, "There's a traitor! Who is it? Step forward!"

He'd lost it. Pulling a handgun from his coat, he waved it aimlessly at the sea of people below, his voice full of rage.

"Who? Who dares betray me?"

"A gun!"

The crowd erupted into chaos, panic spreading like wildfire in the spacious hall.

The next second, Nicholas pulled me tightly into his arms, pushing me down beneath him. "Careful! Don't lift your head!"

My heart pounded wildly. Enveloped in his coat, I could barely see any light and had no idea what was happening outside. "Nicholas, what do we do?"

Nelson had gone mad, and he had a gun. Could anyone stop him?

"Nicholas, let me out!" If Nelson wanted revenge, I'd undoubtedly be his primary target. "Let me out. I don't want to drag anyone else into this."

Especially not Nicholas. I couldn't bear for him to be hurt. I couldn't let anyone else die in front of me!

Just then, the curtain separating the backstage area suddenly flew open. Yasmine, completely oblivious to the tense atmosphere up front, walked out smiling, still relishing in Claudia's stupidity. How could anyone be dumb enough to publicly expose Nelson's evidence?

"It's you! It must be you!" Nelson shouted hysterically, his sinister eyes locking onto Yasmine. "I

swn wel

remember you! You're the one who barged into my private room!"

Listening to Nelson, unease crept up my spine. Who was he referring to? Who had entered his private room? It was either me or Yasmine.noveldrama

A chill ran through me, and I pushed Nicholas away abruptly. "No!"

In a flash, the trigger was pulled, and

a bullet shot straight toward Yasmine. At the same moment, Leo,

who had been lurking

sprang into action.

Just when everyone thought Yasmine's life would be snuffed out, a powerful hand grabbed Nelson's wrist, shoving it upward before twisting it behind his back. Leo used all his strength to pin Nelson to the ground.

"Bang!"

The gun fired, belatedly, its shot landing squarely in Leo's chest. Blood dripped steadily onto Nelson's back.

Time seemed to slow down. Leo's face turned paler with each passing moment. Nelson twisted his neck to look at the man pinning him down with great effort. This was the son he had painstakingly brought back!

"So... it's you!"

Leo smiled weakly, but his grip didn't falter. Taking out handcuffs from his coat, he secured them around Nelson's wrists. "Sorry, save your words for now."

"Fool! Do you think you can walk out

of here alive? None of you will leave

this place today!" Even at death's

door, Nelson was still spitting threats. He shouted, "Get in here!"

As his words echoed, rows of armed bodyguards rushed into the hall.
