The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2751

I listened to Marius and did not go to the funeral. I still saw photos from Silas' funeral over the news.

Through the photos, I saw Sylvester's expression to be as calm as water like the kind that came after a deep pain. However, I did not see Rooney. "Strictly speaking, Rooney is not a member of the Yard family, so there's no issue with her being absent," Theo saw my doubts and said.

"I know. It's just a little weird." I put down my phone and leaned back on the sofa with Theo. "I wonder if it's true that Sylvester wants to harm me."

Theo wrapped an arm around my shoulder and patted it a few times. "What Marius said also makes sense. It's better that you don't go."

Suddenly, the phone rang.

I glanced at the screen and saw Sylvester's name floating on it. I glanced at Theo and he nodded, signaling me to answer.

"You didn't come for the funeral. Silas left a few things for you. Come if you want." I could not decipher any other emotion from Syvlvester's tone. It was indifferent, cold. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

"What things?"

Sylvester seemed to be fiddling with them as he responded calmly, "A letter. The rest seem to be things your mother left before she died, but I'm not too sure. If you don't want them, I'll throw them away." His tone was light and breezy as if he had no intentions of hurting me at all.

Was the information wrong?

A letter. Did Silas want to say something to me? There were also my mother's relics as well. I felt like going over.

Noticing how conflicted I was, Theo grabbed the phone. "Do we pick them up from Yard Mansion? Can I accompany Wanda over?"

"Of course, you can," Sylvester agreed.

"Okay, I'll see you later."

I turned to Theo after he ended the call. "You really want to go?"

Theo took my hand and chuckled. "Don't you want to know what your mother left behind? Aren't you curious about the contents of Silas's letter as well?"

"I am, but what if it's Sylvester's trap?"

"That's okay. I'll be with you. I won't let you get hurt."

Theo's words put me at ease.

"Okay, let's go together, then."

Theo and I drove to Yard Mansion.

The atmosphere was not quite similar to when we came the last time. There were white candles in. front of the mansion. The housekeeper was not around either, so we made our way in ourselves.

The living room was empty. We did not see any of Sylvester's people either.

Theo and I looked at each other with dismay. He then stepped forward. "President Yard, we've arrived."

Immediately after that, Sylvester

appeared at the corner of the stairs with his hands in his pockets. "The items are upstairs. Come upand

take them away."

Theo grabbed my hand, and we followed Sylvester upstairs. We then arrived at the study Silas often worked in. There was now only a table in it. Sylvester walked up to the table and knocked on it. "This is what he left for you."

There was indeed an envelope and some items on the table.

I took a few steps forward. Those items were my mother's handicrafts. I did not expect Silas to have kept them.

The moment I picked up the letter, Sylvester complained beside me, "What age is this even for him to still leave a letter behind? How old-fashioned."

For safety's sake, I picked up the letter and stood next to Theo before opening it. "This..."

"This is..." Theo frowned.

I turned to look at Theo. "I voluntarily bequeath all of my property to Wanda Lane?" "Me?"

Did he know he was going to die?

Sylvester's voice sounded at this

moment. "Who would've thought et

Silas would choose to leave all his property to you in the end, including Yard Group?"
