The President Broken Angel

He doesn’t deserve you

Later that day, Jhonia was helping the maids clean up!

“Jhonia dear, don’t you think you should stop and have a few words with me?” Mrs. Pinnock called for her and asked. Jhonia then turned around even though Mrs. Pinnock was smiling she could not hide the displeased look in her eyes.

“Since I started it, I wanted to finish it. Mrs. Pinnock, it won’t happen again.” Jhonia said, drying her hands and leaving the maids to finish up on their own. She smiled and walked over to Mrs. Pinnock.

“At some point, you will have to let me do something. With my parents, we share everything we do, and I don’t want to just sit around looking pretty.” Jhonia said, explain how and what things was like with her parents before she lose them, she stood in front of Mrs. Pinnock, then she took a deep breath and Mrs. Pinnock looked at Jhonia, she raised her hand to remove the loose hair in her face but she retrieved her hand quickly.

“Jhonia, I know the life you have had and I also know that your uncle is a bastard.” Mrs. Pinnock said, telling what she knows and they both giggled. They then turned and walked towards the living room.

“Jhonia. Think of shopping as a way of doing something for me, get a new hairstyle and get your hair treated by professionals. Get a facial regardless of your beauty, get your hands and feet done, walk with confidence they say. Haha, choose a car you would like to be… In fact, I think I should do such. You need to live like today is your last day. Get out, know people, know the city it would not hurt, and get used to wearing heels, and not those flat shoes. Okay?” Mrs. Pinnock said as they had seated down together on the sofa. She turned to Jhonia, who was looking at her like she’s crazy. She continued to glance at Jhonia regardless, as she explained these things she should be doing and to see it as doing something.

“Okay, fine, live freely. Do nothing. Meet ladies with the same lifestyle. Talk about… No, that one is not happening.” Jhonia said, referring to talking about their husbands’ wealth and doings was not going to happen after she agreed on doing nothing and living freely.

“That’s fine, I’m so happy.” Mrs. Pinnock said, hugging Jhonia happily forgetting that she shouldn’t touch her but she was even more terrified when Jhonia returned the hug.

“It’s something I should get used to… your son said he would be hugging me a lot.” Jhonia said, taking a paused and then told her, her voice sounded pleased and Mrs. Pinnock was overjoyed.

“I’m really happy, now that I have a daughter that I have always wanted. I hope that even if you decide to leave you will always see me as a mother figure to you.” Mrs. Pinnock said, telling her how happy she was but Jhonia could hear it in her voice, and suddenly Jhonia hugged her tighter than before.

“Okay. Mother calling you, when I start. I really hope that’s fine, as well as going shopping and facials, etc, with me?” Jhonia said, tell her what she would like, a way of saying she’s up for the change, she pulled back from their hug and asked with a smile.

“Really?” Mrs. Pinnock asked with surprise, she didn’t seem to believe what is happening because Jhonia requests were very clear to her, Mrs. Pinnock.

“Really. We should start with learning how to wear those heels first, also if there’s someone I want to visit in a few weeks I hope that’s fine with you.” Jhonia said, telling she’s agreeing to the needs of hers, with a little smile. “You will have to visit my son in his hotel room tonight, both of you will stay there and return here in the morning because he will be at work! Also Jhonia, this marriage is a contract as you know! But I’m not certain my son will see it that way I”

“It’s okay, we will discuss it together. But I have to use your car until you pick mine.”

Jhonia said, cutting off Mrs. Pinnock. She nodded in approval to Jhonia using her car. After some time Jhonia got ready wearing a pants suit of color deep blue, she decided to let her hair down, she had parted her hair unevenly and placed the lesser hair behind her right ear. Standing in the mirror this side of her reminds Jhonia of her late mother when she’s dressed up.

“If you were here I would have made sure to get into the best school and make you so proud mom, since I couldn’t finish school this life has found its way to me. I paid off yours and dads death and I’m going to live a happy life with this new family given to me.” Jhonia said, looking into the mirror at herself she spoke to her mother knowing she wasn’t. Mrs. Pinnock, who stood outside and overheard everything.

. I had similar words for my mother who had passed when I married Nearce’s father. Then he disheartens me and hurt me constantly like it was something amusing and I sat by and watched him, hurt me over and over again until the day he found out he was ill. He weakens my heart to him and made me love him only to have him leave for the beyond. I only hope my son Nearce isn’t like him, Mrs. Pinnock thinks.

She knocked on the door after an intense exhale.

“Come in.” Jhonia said, and she entire the room with a smile.

“So beautiful, I like it. Are you ready?” Mrs. Pinnock complimented her saying and then asked? Jhonia nodded and picked up her purse and phone. She looked at herself one last time, she smiled and walked over to Mrs. Pinnock.

“Hmm, thanks for the purse and the phone. I have never had a phone because I could not afford one, now I do. Ah.. Don’t worry, I will master it in no time!” Jhonia said, thanking and saying she will get a hang of it, together they took off down the stairs. While Mrs. Pinnock’s driver awaits for Jhonia outside, she packs the dishes neatly together, Mrs. Pinnock gives her the address and she walked towards the door after hugging Mrs. Pinnock.

“I like that after today, I will be able to hug you a lot. I also hope that you would not do the ‘maids’ work for them, in order for them to keep their job.” Mrs. Pinnock said, telling her she will be hugging her and that she should do the maids job because they need it. Jhonia nodded as she was walking away. She opened the door and went out… Mrs. Pinnock, driver quickly rushed over and took the small package bag from her then helped her into the car. After some time driving towards the hotel.

“He doesn’t deserve you, Ms. Jhonia, you are too good for someone like him, you deserve better.” Jhonia narrowed her eyebrows looking up from the phone, as the driver said to her, looking back at her from the rearview mirror. Jhonia stared at him with confusion.

“What’s your name?” Jhonia asks? Still, looking at him. He focuses on the road for a moment.

“My name is Orean, I hope you haven’t taken my words to another level of expectation.” Orean said his name, then told her hope glancing through the mirror for a moment at her.

“If my husband doesn’t deserve me, do you?” Jhonia said and asked angrily? The driver slows down and stops the car. He then turns into his seat making eye contact with Jhonia.

“I really hope that you didn’t misjudge me trying to tell you to be careful, Ms. Jhonia, your husband can be innocent looking and people who are innocent don’t always try to make things the way they should be. I have someone I love, your beautiful inside out I will admit that. But I can’t say the same for your husband.” Orean said, explaining to her that he only wishes that she be extra careful of him, innocent looking people aren’t innocent. He then turned back into his seat, started the car, and drove off! Jhonia sat confused. She felt he was warning her about her husband, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on what he meant.
