The Peremptory Casey Davies

Chapter 69 You Shouldn't Have Provoked Him

Chapter 69 You Shouldn't Have Provoked Him

Casey narrowed his eyes. What he hated most was to be cheated. Undoubtedly, Black Wolf had been

in Casey's blacklist.

"Dare you cheat me?" Casey said coldly.

Black Wolf giggled and said, "So what? My boss and his minions are around here, who will arrive in

several minutes. After he comes, do you think I will still be afraid of you?"

"Well, then I will wait until your called boss comes and afterwards I will fix you." Casey said faintly.

This was exactly what was called "remove the roots once and for all". Now that there was someone

behind Black Wolf, he had to see who dared to have the idea to rob him of Edith.

Whoever had the idea to rob him of Edith would come to a bad end finally.

Black Wolf smiled coldly, thinking that Casey was so stupid, who wanted to wait until his boss came. In

his opinion, he was seeking death.

“Well, I suggest you take the opportunity to escape quickly and leave your wife to me. Otherwise, after

my boss comes, it will be too late for you to regret.”

Casey kept silent, but looked coldly at Black Wolf, who was lying on the ground.

Seeing Casey keep still, Black Wolf smiled more coldly in his mind and he quipped, “He is really an

idiot, who doesn’t cherish the opportunity to escape. Now that he puts himself against the muzzle, don’t

blame me for being malicious.”

After a while, here came footsteps from nearby. Black Wolf immediately picked himself up from the

ground, feeling excited to see those people coming over.

“Mr. Hanson, here you come finally. I don’t know why this guy is so good at fighting, and I wouldn’t have

called you over otherwise.” Black Wolf said with respect.

Jax glanced at Black Wolf, curled his lips and said, “You are so useless. I will help to fix the person who

has beat you.”

Black Wolf instantly stretched out his fingers to point at Casey, and said maliciously, “Mr. Hanson, it is

this arrogant guy, who is just the loser in J City that everyone knows. It must be a piece of cake for you

to fix him!”

After speaking, Black Wolf looked again at Casey and said with cold smile, “Well, my boss has come.

Quickly kneel down to beg for forgiveness and I will ask my boss to spare your life. Otherwise, today

you will never walk out of the alley!”

After seeing that the leader of those people was Jax, Casey was surprised but soon a hint of irony rose

on his face.

Jax looked along Black Wolf’s fingers and fell eyes on Casey. He was shocked.

He turned around to give Black Wolf a glimpse, not knowing why this idiot had provoked Casey.

“Mr. … Mr. Davis, it’s you! What a coincidence.” Jax said embarrassedly to Casey.

Black Wolf became confused, so he turned to look at Jax and asked, “Mr. Hanson, why do you call this

loser Mr. Davis? He is Casey Davis, a well-known loser in J City. You must have mistaken him for

someone else.”

Jax turned to stare at Black Wolf and slapped him without saying anything.

Black Wolf turned a circle directly and then fell on the ground.

“I think you are a loser. Dare you provoke Mr. Davis? Are you getting tired of living?”

Black Wolf covered his face with hand and stared at Jax with surprise. He asked Jax to come over to

fix Casey, but unexpectedly, Jax gave him a slap for Casey.

“Mr. Hanson, what’s wrong with you? He is the top loser in J City. Why are you afraid of him? With your

ability, you can pinch him to death with only one hand.” Black Wolf still felt confused.

“If you kept calling him loser, I will directly seal your mouth.”

Jax gave Black Wolf another slap without any hesitation.

“Mr. Hanson, why do you slap me? I am your friend!” Black Wolf covered his face, almost dissolving

into tears.

“Who is your fucking friend? I don’t have such a stupid friend like you. Stay away from me!”

Jax instantly distanced himself with Black Wolf, afraid that Casey would blame him for it.

Black Wolf was puzzled, thinking that Casey was only a loser. Why could he make Jax so scared that

Jax didn’t dare to admit their relationship.

Could it be that Casey was not as simple as he thought?

Thinking of this, Black Wolf immediately opened widely his eyes. What came to his mind was the scene

that Casey had effortlessly fixed him and his minions twice. It was impossible for Casey to be an

ordinary person.

He must be someone with great social influence.

However, it was late to regret.

Casey came to Jax, who immediately bent down and said respectfully, “Mr. Davis, I really don’t know

this idiot want to deal with you. If I had known it, I would have killed him.”

“What relationship do you have with him?” Casey asked.

“Black Wolf was originally a subordinate of Mr. Byrne and went out on his own later. Considering the

previous relationship, Mr. Byrne helps him sometimes. I really didn’t expect he wants to deal with you

this time.” Jax hurried to explain.

Casey nodded and then looked at Black Wolf.

Black Wolf had already come to his mind, who quickly crawled over with a bitter face, begging for

mercy, “Mr. Davis, please spare my life this time. Sorry for having been blind and irritated you. I will

never do that again in the future!”

“Where is my wife?” Casey asked.

Only then did Black Wolf think of Edith. He immediately took out the cellphone and made a phone call.

After a while, Edith, who was in a coma, was taken to the alley.

Casey sighed with relief when seeing Edith was just in a coma, and he quickly came close to take Edith

over in his arms.

“Mr. Davis, I didn’t touch her. Please forgive me. I will never do that.” Black Wolf begged for mercy.

Casey snorted coldly and said, “I never believe in apology. Now that you have done it, you should think

about the consequences of it that you need to bear.”

Black Wolf’s facial expression greatly changed. He knew that Casey would not forgive him.

“Mr. … Mr. Davis, could you beat me a little lightly? I will surely turn over a new leaf in the future.” Black

Wolf thought even if Casey wanted to fix him, it would be only a beat.

Casey curled his lips and said, “You have lost the opportunity for that.”

After speaking, Casey walked out of the alley.

Jax immediately asked, “Mr. Davis, you mean?”

“Kill him. I don’t want to see him again in J City.” Casey said faintly.

“Yes, sir.” Jax answered.

Black Wolf was frightened and asked, “What… what do you want to do?”

Jax gave Black Wolf a reluctant glimpse and shook his head, “You shouldn’t have provoked him.”

As soon as the voice faded away, a miserable cry sounded in the alley, startling away the crows that

had fallen on the wall.

Casey took Edith to a nearby café, who was in a coma because of the knockout drops given by Black

Wolf’s minions. She would come to herself after the drug effect was over.

After about half an hour, Edith opened her eyes in a daze and looked around with confusion. Seeing

Casey sitting by her side, she asked, “What… what’s wrong with me?”

She only remembered she walked out of the office to leave for Harue Restaurant to find Casey. But

after walking for a while, she lost consciousness and couldn’t remember what had happened exactly.

“You fainted on the way to find me, maybe because of hypoglycemia.” Casey explained.

Edith rubbed her temples and murmured, “Maybe I am so busy recently.”

“However, weren’t you waiting for me in Harue Restaurant? How did you know I had fainted?” Edith

looked at Casey doubtfully.

“Silly girl, I was worried about you. Seeing you hadn’t come, I went to the company to find you.

Fortunately, I found you on the way. Otherwise, something serious would have happened. You have to

take good care of yourself in the future and don’t make yourself so exhausted,” Casey said with smile.

Edith suddenly felt warm in her heart. All the people of the Patel family would never care about her

health. Amara and Nicolas only thought about her salary. The person who really cared about her might

be Casey only.

“Thank you.” Edith said.

“It’s so simple with only a thank you.” Casey said with smile.

Edith hesitated and asked, “Well… what else do you want?”

“How about committing yourself to me?”

“Get away!”

That night, Morgan called Casey to ask him to go downstairs.

Casey went downstairs and arrived at an alley nearby. Morgan and Conor had been waiting there.

Seeing Casey went downstairs, Morgan kneeled down without saying anything and said with a bitter

face, “Mr. Davis, I am so sorry. It was me who had asked Jax to help Black Wolf, but I didn’t know he

wanted to deal with you. Please punish me.”

Seeing Morgan acting like this, Casey laughed and said, “Stand up. You didn’t know it, so I will not

blame you.”

“Really, Mr. Davis? Won’t you blame me?” Morgan asked with widely opened eyes.

Casey nodded. NôvelDrama.Org content.

Morgan stood up from the ground and said with smile, “Thanks for sparing my life. By the way, please

convey my apology to Edith.”

Casey rolled his eyes at him and then looked at Conor, asking, “Have you adapted to the life in J City?”

Conor smiled and said, “With the foundation laid by you and Morgan, I am really in my element here, so

don’t worry about me.”

“Mr. Davis, don’t listen to his brag. His leadership is really amazing, but recently he is unable to deal

with the little leader of an underground casino.” Morgan chipped in.

Conor stared at Morgan and said, “No one will treat you as dumb if you don’t speak.”

Casey was very shocked. Normally, with Conor’s ability, it is very easy for him to fix a person of

underground casino.

“What’s wrong? If this underground casino has hindered you, just ask Morgan to take people to destroy

it.” Casey said.

“Well, this underground casino hasn’t hindered us. I want to make the leader of the underground casino

work for me, but…”

“But what?” Casey was curious.

“But he has an odd temper. No matter how much I promise to pay him, he doesn’t agree to work with

me. He asks me to have a bet with him and he will agree only if I win. However, Morgan and I know

nothing about gambling, so he hasn’t agreed yet.”
