The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

A Monster

Chapter 40 A Monster

“What girl are they talking about?” Raven asked herself

“Don’t worry, we will handle the girl and clean up any lose ends and make sure she doesn’t speak a word to the press.” Ramos said.

A sickening feeling rose in Raven’s stomach. Were they talking about killing her? Surely not. She was just a girl, not some hardened criminal.

What had she gotten herself into? She felt a rising sense of panic. What was she going to do?

Just then, the door opened and Ramos stepped out. He stopped short when he saw Raven standing there.

“What are you doing here?” he demanded. “You’re not supposed to be listening in.”

“I-I was just on my way to see you, because you called me.” Raven stammered. “I-I didn’t mean to-”

“You’re a terrible liar,” Ramos said, his eyes cold and hard. “I know you were listening in. You’re not supposed to be eavesdropping on my conversations.”

“So you are going to kill a young girl too? You really are a monster you shitty geezer.” she said.

“Well, that’s what I do best and I don’t feel any utter of guilt. She put herself in such a situation and so I am going to end her life so she doesn’t destroy someone else’s reputation.” He said

“Let me guess, all those god for saken politicians who are meant to be leading the nation well? They commit a crime and allow you their clean up dog to cover up their mess isn’t it?” She said.

“You bitch!” He utters as he slaps her. “You’ve got some nerves and sometimes I find it intriguing and other times like this, I find it really annoying.”

“I don’t care! One day Ramos, you will die and no one is going to bury your body. They are gonna leave it outside to rut and smell and those vultures will descend upon your corpse and eat every part of your body till there is nothing left to eat.” Raven said.

Raven could see it in Ramos eyes that he was getting really angry, but she didn’t care.

Ramos’s face turned red with rage. “You dare speak to me that way?” he shouted, his voice thundering through the room. “I’ll show you what happens to people who talk to me like that!”

He grabbed her by the arm and started dragging her towards the door. “Where are you taking me?” Raven cried, struggling against his grip. “Stop you asshole!”

“You’re coming with me,” Ramos said, his face twisted with anger.

Raven continued to struggle as Ramos dragged her through the palace. She had no idea where he was taking her, but she could tell by the look on his face that it was nowhere good. Her heart was beating in her chest, and she felt sick with fear.

Finally, they reached a heavy door, which Ramos unlocked with a key from his pocket. He pushed it open and shoved Raven inside, then slammed the door behind them.

Raven looked around, her eyes adjusting to the dim light. They were in a dungeon, a small room with a dirt floor and stone walls.

“You’re going to stay here until the mission starts later. And trust me when I say this that you cannot escape from me Raven.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

I’ll make your life a living hell that you would eventually bring down those tough walls and beg me for mercy to save those you love.

Because there is nothing stopping me from going in there right now and putting a bullet over your father’s fucking brain!

But I’ve been nice for far too long and you are taking it for granted. So you are going to stay here until the mission starts and after you would be brought right back here.”

“You’re an asshole!” Raven yelled.

“Watch your mouth,” Ramos said, his eyes flashing dangerously. “I am not the one you should be insulting.

I am the one who holds all the power here, and you would do well to remember that.”

“You’re a monster,” Raven said, her voice trembling with anger and fear.

“I don’t care what you think, Raven.” Ramos said. “I have always been clear about my intentions. And that’s to kill anyone who stands in my way and I would do it without feeling any utter of guilt.”

“You’re a sick, twisted man,” Raven said, her voice shaking with emotion. “I don’t understand how you can live with yourself, knowing the things you’ve done. Don’t you feel any remorse?”

Ramos’s eyes narrowed, and a dangerous smile spread across his face. “You see, that’s the difference between you and me,” he said. “I don’t feel remorse. I don’t feel guilt.

I do what I need to do in order to get what I want, and I don’t care about the consequences.”

“You may think that makes you powerful, but it makes you weak,” Raven said, feeling a surge of courage.

“True strength comes from having principles and values, from knowing right from wrong. You don’t have any of that.”

Ramos looked taken aback, as if he hadn’t expected Raven to speak so boldly. But his expression quickly turned hard again.

“It doesn’t matter what you think,” he said. “You’re in my power now, and you will do as I say.”

“You can try to control me, but you can’t control my mind,” Raven said, feeling her resolve harden. “You can’t make me do something I don’t want to do.”

“We’ll see about that,” Ramos said, his voice icy. “I have ways of making people do what I want. And you will find out what those ways are, if you continue to defy me.”

Raven’s heart was racing, but she refused to show any fear. She met Ramos’s gaze and held it, unflinching. “Do your worst,” she said.

Ramos’s expression darkened. “Oh, you have no idea what my worst is,” he said, his voice low and menacing.

“But you will find out, if you keep defying me. I promise you that.”

Raven didn’t back down, even though she felt a knot of fear forming in her stomach.

“I’m not afraid of you,” she said, even though her voice trembled slightly. “I won’t let you control me.”

“We’ll see about that,” Ramos said again, his eyes glinting with anger. “Now, you will come with me.”

“I’m not going anywhere with you.” She said.

“Oh… you will darling. Because if you don’t, you might regret it.” Ramos said.

She didn’t understand what he meant, but she decided to follow him and then he took her to the basement and what she saw horrified her.

She saw Ramos men beating her father continuously.

She rushed at them to stop but they pushed her away. They continued.

“You see, Raven. I’ll do everything I can to make your life a living hell and I know just who would make you do what I want.

You said you won’t do what I ask of you. Let’s see if you won’t.” he said as he waved his men to continue.

Raven’s heart pounded in her chest as she watched in horror. She couldn’t believe what was happening. She couldn’t believe that Ramos was capable of such cruelty.

But there was no denying what she was seeing. Her father was being beaten mercilessly, and Ramos was standing there, watching, with a satisfied smile on his face.

Raven tried to fight back the tears, but they were already rolling down her cheeks. She couldn’t let Ramos see her cry. She had to stay strong, for her father’s sake. She couldn’t let him see her break.

“Stop!” Raven yelled, struggling to keep her voice from shaking. “I won’t let you hurt my father.”

“And what are you going to do to stop me?” Ramos asked, a hint of amusement in his voice. “You’re no match for me, little girl.”

“I’ll do whatever you want, just please don’t hurt him,” Raven pleaded, desperation in her voice. “Please.”

Ramos paused, considering her words. Then, he nodded. ”

“Very well,” he said, turning to his men. “Let him go. We’re done here.”

The men released her father, who sank to the ground, his body wracked with pain. Raven rushed to his side, helping him to his feet.

“Now, you will do what I say and when I say it. Understand?” he said.

“You really are a monster, Ramos,” Raven said.

Ramos ordered his men to take her father away.

“Now, are you ready to do what I ask?” Ramos asked.

Raven looked at her father’s bloodied face, fighting the tears in her eyes. She closed her eyes and then made the decision that would change her life forever…
