The Killer Queen (Noella Briony)

Chapter 463

Back when I was working in a meth lab, I came across the hottest drug on the market, Frost Crystal 1."

"By now, it's probably Frost Crystal 2, but the recipe hasn't changed much. The key ingredient is still Mirage Grass."

Watching Jasper talk about those drugs with such ease, the Interpol officer asked, "May I know who you are?"

"My code name was Breeze!"

The legendary figure who infiltrated the previous Toxic Monarch's inner circle for a year, endured hardships, and ultimately brought the whole gang down, Breeze!

The Interpol officer looked at Jasper with a newfound respect.

"Salute to you!"

"It was my duty."

Another Interpol officer chimed in: "That last operation was coordinated with one of our other teams. Wise Fool was there too."

Jasper's expression changed: "My sister was there?"

"Yes, the Obelisk Organization was on a mission nearby, so we invited Wise Fool to join us!"

"A lot of people were trapped in a basement well at that time, and it was Wise Fool who rescued them."

Jasper was even more surprised!

He was one of those trapped in the well!

It was a critical situation; the Toxic Monarch's men had opened the floodgates, and the basement well was about to be flooded, with over a hundred people at risk of drowning.

He hadn't realized it was his sister who had saved them!

Thinking back to how someone had blocked the valve, forcibly closing a water gate that required machinery to operate, and their smooth, cloud-like maneuvering skills, Jasper felt he couldn't keep up even with ten years of training!

Jasper's knees went weak, and he knelt on the ground!

He was completely bowing down to his own sister!

Helped up by an Interpol officer, he managed to stand and said solemnly, "...this way is correct, but there's poison gas along the path. Make sure your gas masks are secure."

"Don't worry!"

Meanwhile, at the Baker Group HQ.

Noella sneezed and rubbed her nose, "Who's thinking about me?"

Handing Noella a magazine, Palmer said softly, "Probably family. Everything okay with Jasper?"

"As long as Jasper isn't with me, he won't run into trouble."

With Jasper's combat prowess, especially when paired with Interpol, it was unlikely he'd face any danger.

On the contrary, being with Noella, Jasper would be too worried about her, hindering his abilities!

Family is both armor and Achilles' heel.

For them, being apart was the best choice!

"When Jasper went by the ID Breeze, his bounty was up to 50 million dollars."

Millie spat out the magazine she was chewing and exclaimed in shock, "He's Breeze? How did I not recognize him?"

"Seeing him a few years ago and now, the difference is understandable."

While acting as Breeze within the Toxic Monarch's circle, Jasper was like a proficient Magee.

Skinny, hunched, and with a look that made people uncomfortable.

After returning to Imperial City, he transformed into Jasper Schnabel, the most arrogant scion of the Schnabel family. This past was known only to the Schnabel family!

Let alone Millie recognizing him, even Noella didn't recognize him at first!

It was only after thoroughly investigating the Schnabel family that she realized Jasper was Breeze!

Millie felt her heart shatter.

"Breeze is my idol... OMG!"

"Isn't Jasper great?"

Choosing between a Southeast Asian scammer Breeze and a suave Imperial City gentleman seemed obvious.

Millie, enraged, took out a Magee!

"You don't understand, Master! My idol!"

Noella calmly replied, "So what? You've even teased him."

Millie experienced what it felt like to hit rock bottom!

If she had known he was her idol, she would never have treated him like that...

Noella watched as Millie's mental state crumbled.

"Jasper didn't mind, right? You shouldn't worry."

"It's not the same..."

She didn't know her idol was Breeze. Thinking back to how they interacted, Millie wanted to restart her life.

She felt like dying on the spot.

In her rage, Millie attacked anyone she saw.

Watching her storm off, Palmer raised an eyebrow, "What's gotten into her?"

"Millie and I had a stint along the border. She got too bold and almost got herself killed. It was Breeze who saved her, but she never saw his face."

"After learning about Breeze, she idolized him. Knowing it's Jasper now, she can't handle it."

Palmer nodded, "Understandable."

Knowing Noella had saved him made him more relieved than scared. He was glad he hadn't missed out on her.

The entire gang was thrown into chaos, not expecting Interpol to confront them with live fire. Panic ensued.

Everywhere, people were fleeing, fearing capture and imprisonment!

What life could they lead if captured, compared to their lawless freedom?

They were adamant about not getting caught!

Here, at most, they faced heartache. But there, it was a living hell.

Alkaid whistled from the rooftop.

"Boss, Connor's bolted."

Noella had anticipated Connor would try to escape amidst the chaos.

"No worries, it's all desert around here. He won't get far."

With desert on one side and the sea on the other, not to mention the watch eyes of Lockhart Prison

nearby, escaping from here was easier said than done! Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

Palmer chuckled, "The desert must be beautiful this time!"

"Interested? Then go have a look!"

Disappearing from the Baker Group HQ, the tire tracks on the road were erratic, a clear sign of desperate escape attempts. Passing the binoculars to Noella, Palmer's presence seemed to merge with the deep chill of the night air.

"He probably didn't show up in person."

"At his age, it's only natural to be cautious about his health, not to mention that the outdoors isn't exactly senior-friendly."

Palmer couldn't help but chuckle.

"Imagine if the 7-Slayer himself heard you say that. He'd be livid."

"Being livid would be the least of his problems. He's not that easy to take down."

The mastermind hiding in the shadows, dying from anger would be too easy an escape!

Off in the distance, an ATV flipped over, followed by the sound of gunfire. Soon after, a signal from the international police confirmed their success.

Noella breathed a sigh of relief.

"He's caught. Let's go pick up Xavier for a well-deserved retirement."

"Lead the way!"

Half an hour later.

Following Jasper's lead, the international police discovered the Baker Group's underground lab filled with drug manufacturing equipment!

Seeing the warehouse filled with machinery left the officers in shock.

"The Baker Group truly deserved their fate!"

Jasper, eyeing the powders and equipment still bubbling with blue liquids, felt a shiver down his spine.

"Wrap it up here. The most valuable piece is already gone."

The core piece of equipment was missing!

After checking the equipment with the international police, Jasper didn't delay their work and left the Baker Group's location to return to Lockhart Prison.

At the edge of the desert, a man clad

in a weatherproof jacket, his

physique lean and strong under the coating of sand, his gaze sharp and

dangerous, approached.

The moment he saw Noella, his fierce expression softened to that of a protective mother eagle.

"Noella! Oh my, are you alright? Jasper was worried sick!"

Everyone around was taken aback by the dramatic shift.

The contrast couldn't be more striking!
