The CEO Is Obsessed With Me

Chapter Thirty-Five; Jealousy

THIRD PERSON POV

“Careful.”

“Ahh, I’m trying..” Aurelia gasped, trying to hold her own.

“Take it out slowly…”

Following orders, she does as she’s instructed. Beads of sweat gathered at her forehead, and her heart thumped loudly against her chest, too scared to slip up.

Her hands trembled as she struggled to aim properly. Aurelia pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, casting a weary glance at the CEO.

“Don’t you dare spill a single drop” he warned, his tone threatening. She swallowed hard, releasing a shaky breath.

“Yes sir..”

Aurelia’s nostrils flared as she inhaled sharply, her eyes narrowing into slits as she attempted to pour the tea she made into the cup again.

It was harder than it looks. Especially when the CEO was right beside her, his towering figure looming over her form like a dark cloud. Luke watched her carefully as she made his tea, his expression was impassive, but his eyes were daring her to fuck up. Knowing she would be fucked as well if that happens.

Literally and figuratively.

Aurelia thought it was a strange threat, although she was supposed to despise and hate his guts, she wasn’t actually opposed to the thought of him taking her against his desk. But she would rather grind her tongue into paste than admit it out loud.

It would only add to his already huge and obnoxious ego, giving him the free hand to turn her into his puppet.

She had already decided to resist him, no matter how irresistible and alluring he was. Aurelia was stubborn, and after the vibrator incident, she was determined to turn the tables and get her life back on track. Starting with getting her job back.

But unfortunately, that seemed like a feeble dream now, because this man…was determined to make her life a living hell.

It had only been a week since she started working as his assistant, but she felt like she’d aged a decade in just a short amount of time. Luke was beyond overbearing. He burdened her with trivial tasks like getting his clothes from the dry cleaner, sweeping his office, to making his tea.

Everything sounds simple, but he made her do them over and over again. The man was a perfectionist, and he was never satisfied with whatever she did. He was determined to punish her in the the most frustrating way possible, and now she missed the vibrator, it was better than the pulsing ache in her lower back.

Luke hadn’t done anything sexual since that day, apart from making snarky remarks to make her blush and stutter. He’d been swarmed with work, and as infuriating as he was, he was a dedicated man.

The most crucial task was making his tea. Damn, she never thought tea was so complicated until now. Luke liked his tea made in a particular way, in a way that enabled it to always taste and smell the same. To his liking.

And she’d managed to fail this very task, woefully so.

She mostly took coffee, so she was clueless when it comes to making tea. To make matters worse, the man drank from a brand of tea she was sure was also served to royalty. Because why the hell did she have to measure the temperature of the water with a freaking thermometer?!

Aurelia was tired, her joints ached, and she wanted nothing more than to be done with this hell.

Finally, after what seemed like decades, Aurelia was done making his precious of cup tea. She held her breath as he reached for the cup.

Her brows arched in confusion as he picked the cup from the rims instead of the handle. She thought it was weird-a peculiar trait that fit him well. She’d never seen anyone drink tea like that, and she hated to admit that it was oddly sexy.

But then again, what aspect of the CEO wasn’t sexy?

Aurelia wanted to scoff, why does every little action he makes look attractive to her, she needed to stop her wandering thoughts before it got out of hand.

She looked up at him expectantly as he brought the cup to his lips. His eyes lowered as he blew the steam softly, his lustrous eyelashes casting a faint shadow on his cheeks.

He took a thoughtful sip, while she crossed her fingers behind her back, chanting a silent prayer in her mind as she anticipated his review.

“How is it?” She couldn’t help but ask.

Luke set the cup down, shaking his head. “Garbage,” he says flatly, his lips twisting in disgust. Aurelia felt her heart drop to the pit of her stomach, fighting the urge to pull at the roots of her hair in frustration as she held back a groan.

“Is it that bad?” She followed him as he moved to his desk. That was her fifth attempt at making his tea that morning, and she was more than exhausted. His countless rejections stung worse than an angry bee sting.

Luke brushed her off as he sat down, facing his laptop.

“You’re a shitty excuse for a personal assistant. Can’t even make a decent cup of tea.” He scoffed, and Aurelia’s temple pulsed in annoyance.

Her hands balled into fists at her sides as she peered at him through narrowed eyes.

“Maybe I would be able to make it to your liking if you tell me what exactly I’m doing wrong?” Aurelia tried to hide her annoyance, but it was evident in her tone, and Luke was quick to pick it up. He raised his gaze, eyeing her with his signature taunting smirk on his face.

She instinctively knew he was going to say something to fuel her annoyance.

“If I told you everything to do, then why were you hired hmm?”

‘You hired me! I’m a designer! Not a damn assistant!’

She wanted to yell out, but she held her tongue.

Aurelia’s lips stretched into a tight smile. “I’m sorry if I don’t meet your expectations, sir, I wasn’t particularly suited for this job.” That was what she said instead. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

“But you added ‘ability to adapt to any situation’ on your CV.” He countered, and Aurelia’s lips parted in awe. Luke was beyond petty, to think he would look up her company profile and throw it in her face like that.

Luke leaned back in his seat, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he watched her struggle for a comeback. It was moments like these he looked forward to the most, his schedule was packed with events, and he hadn’t had time to fully fulfill his fantasies with Aurelia yet.

Like having her sit on his desk with her thighs spread and welcoming. He would then pull her panties aside, settling himself between her legs to taste her.

Luke felt himself going hard, so he snapped back to reality, clearing his throat as he faced his laptop. All in good time, he thought. Known he would be in that position soon.

“Or am I wrong Miss Ravenwood?” he mused, and Aurelia huffed out an exasperated breath.

“This role is beyond my job jurisdiction sir.” She continued, but Luke pretended not to hear her.

Just then, the office doors swung open, welcoming a new presence. Both Luke and Aurelia shifted their attention to the person who had dared to enter the esteemed CEO’s office without warning.

It was a woman, a stunning figure of elegance and confidence. She stood tall, her posture regal and poised. Her long, dark hair cascaded in perfectly styled waves down her back, catching the light with every movement. She was dressed in a classy and beautiful attire-a sleek, tailored dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, accentuating her hourglass figure. The dress was a deep shade of emerald, the rich color contrasting beautifully with her flawless, fair skin.

She wore minimal jewelry, but each piece was exquisite, from the delicate diamond studs in her ears to the simple yet elegant bracelet on her wrist. Her makeup was flawless, enhancing her striking features-high cheekbones, a perfectly sculpted jawline, and full, ruby-red lips that curled into a confident smile as she looked at Luke. Her eyes, a piercing shade of blue, sparkled with a mixture of intelligence and amusement as she took in the scene before her.

“Arroyal,” she greeted him with an unfamiliar name, her voice smooth and melodious, “Long time no see.”

Luke’s eyes widened, his expression shifting from shock to recognition before softening into something Aurelia couldn’t understand. A genuine smile replaced his earlier stern demeanor. “Veronica,” he said warmly, rising from his seat. “What a pleasant surprise. ”

“You flatter me, we both know my presence is nothing but pleasant.” Veronica’s voice was light with laughter as she approached Luke. She whisked past Aurelia, ignoring her presence entirely.

She smelt of sweet wine and dark roses, her scent filled the room, suffocating Aurelia who stood on the sidelines.

Veronica stopped in front of his desk, dropping her vintage bag on the sleek mahogany. She leaned in, and Luke held her gaze, not pulling away.

Aurelia’s eyes widened as Veronica kissed his neck, leaving the imprint of her red hot lipstick on his skin. She pulled back with a tentative smile, eyeing the lipstick mark satisfaction. She then moved to whisper something in his ear, something that made him laugh, a rich and carefree laughter that took Aurelia by surprise.

Aurelia stood frozen, unable to move. She suddenly felt like an outsider intruding on a private moment, but she remained rooted in place, unsure of what to do next.

She felt increasingly invisible, her earlier frustrations with Luke momentarily overshadowed by this new and unexpected emotion-jealousy.
