Chapter 58
"Behind me, I've got the backing of Mr. Sutton! Ronan doesn't scare me one bit!"
At that moment, Hanley, blinded by lust, had stripped off his shirt, his face alight with excitement. "Ms. Dawson, you seem to like making noise, don't you? Well, you'll have plenty of time for that soon!" "Hanley! Let go! Don't touch me!"
"I've heard tales, Ms. Dawson, about how you'd do anything to please Kieran. Tonight, I'm keen to see what Kieran has been enjoying all this time!"ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
As Hanley leaned in closer, Freya's mind raced back to the humiliation she faced before her death in her past life.
The face of Hanley merged with those of the kidnappers, and Freya clenched her fists.
She thought, 'Am I destined to endure the same fate, even in this life? Kieran! Is this what I owe you? No! God has given me a second chance, and I refuse to submit! No way!' Freya suddenly sat up with a burst of strength and headbutted Hanley in the forehead.
Hanley cried out in pain, stumbling backward.
Freya rolled off the bed with the last strength, but Hanley quickly grabbed her hair, snarling, "Trying to run? Not so easy!"
"Do you think you're some saint? You're nothing but a plaything that Mr. Sutton has had his fun with!"
As Hanley dragged Freya back onto the bed, this time, he wouldn't give her a chance to escape.
Hanley tied Freya to the bed with a rope and declared, "Let's see you try to escape now!"
Knock, knock. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
As Hanley got into the mood, he snapped irritably, "Who is it?"
The persistent knocking finally got to Hanley, who grudgingly left the bed to open the door, grumbling, "We don't need room service! Scram!"
But a kick sent him sprawling to the floor before he could finish his sentence.
"Who!"
Looking up, Hanley saw Ronan at the door, his face pale with fear. "Mr. Beckett?"
Ronan looked down at Hanley with disdain as if he were trash. "Get out!"
Seeing Ronan, Hanley felt as if his soul had left his body. Upon hearing the word 'get out,' he scrambled away as if he had been granted a pardon.
Ronan glanced around the room, immediately noticing Freya tied up on the bed.
He went over, untied her, and frowned. "How could you be so defenseless?"
Freya sighed in relief. "Who would have thought he'd attack me?"
Freya was still feeling dizzy. Noticing the marks on her body, Ronan took off his jacket and draped it over her.
He then scooped Freya into his arms. Seeing her dazed expression, he said, "Don't overthink it. You're my valuable partner, my lucky charm. If you keep leaving yourself this vulnerable, I might just have to keep you by my side all the time to make sure you're safe." Kieran's car was parked outside the hotel. Jarrett opened the door for Kieran, whose expression darkened upon seeing the hotel's facade.
"Mr. Sutton, this is the place."
