Undeniably Handsome
“O-Of course, sir! What do you think of my mole? I-it’s just there!” I said, pointing to my face, then I moved aside to avoid his gaze. I was getting nervous.
He remembers what happened last night, for sure, and he noticed my mole wasn’t on my face! I didn’t know he was that observant that even if he was sick his mind was working well. Damn this ass.
“Sir, it seems like you were hallucinating last night,” I told him.
“I don’t think so–”
“Sir,” I cut him off, I closed my eyes firmly. “You had a high fever last night, I just want to remind you. It’s impossible for this mole to disappear. It’s been here since I was born.”
I almost rolled my eyes. I am thankful I didn’t because Rozzean might suddenly kick me out of his house Sht. He really has an incredible memory. I didn’t even stay long last night, did I? But he even noticed my mole. From the corner of my eye, I saw him deep in thought. He held his chin, and when he looked at me again, I moved away. I think he doesn’t believe me!
“Tell Manang that I’ll come home tomorrow when I arrive.”
After he said that, he turned away. I took a step forward. I was surprised by what he said. Wait, what? Tomorrow? He’s going to leave and he will come back tomorrow!
“Sir, where are you going?”
He stopped and glanced back at me, “Why?”
Yes, why did I even ask? I quickly thought of a reason. When I remembered Manang Selya, I used her as my excuse. Sorry, manang!
“I-I just thought Manang might ask about you, so I can also tell her,” I said. Rozzean was making eye contact, which I couldn’t stand. That’s why I bow my head.
He is really intimidating! Even his presence could give me chills.
“Manang doesn’t ask where I’m going, just tells her I won’t be coming home tonight. I’ll be home tomorrow.”
He turned away and went upstairs. I bit my lower lip tightly while clutching the hem of my dress. He won’t be coming home, which means he’s having a night out. It’s Saturday tomorrow. I wonder who he’s with?
My eyes narrowed.
I’ll find out if you have a girlfriend or if you’re seeing multiple women, Rozzean. You’ll see.
The little demon in me whispers that Rozzean is gonna meet women. Fcker’s night out. And he’s going out as if he didn’t get sick and almost died from the cold last night, huh? Okay, that’s exaggerating.
A few minutes later, after my boss left, Manang came in.
“Tali, did Sir already go downstairs?”
I glanced at her, who was carrying the cups the guards had used. I took them from her and placed them in the sink. I started washing them. It was my second day here, but it seemed like this day would pass without me finding out much because, aside from Rozzean being in the office all day, he wouldn’t be coming home tonight.
“Yes, Manang. Sir said he won’t be coming home tonight; he’ll be back tomorrow,” I told her.
Manang got some water from the fridge and poured it into a glass. I continued washing cups. When I finished, I placed the cups in their cabinet. I also washed the glass Manang had used.
“Thank you, Dear Tali,” she said to me.
My heart suddenly melted when I heard what she called me. Manang is really cute! If Rozzean fires her, I’ll accept her without hesitation. She’s already close to my heart even though I’ve only been here for less than a week.
“Tali, didn’t Sir have breakfast?” Manang asked while looking at the dishes I had prepared.
“No, he didn’t, and he didn’t say if he would,” I replied. I don’t want to invite him, that would mean he’ll stay with me longer and what if he points out my mole again? I suddenly touched my cute black bean.
I need to be more careful and you need to cooperate, mole.
Manang took a container and started filling it with food.
“If he doesn’t have breakfast here, that means he’ll have it at the office. He just needs a packed meal,” Manang explained.
I pursed my lips. Oh, I see… When I remembered that Rozzean got sick last night, I looked at Manang again. I wiped my hands and approached her as she arranged the food in the Tupperware.
“Because he got sick last night, he might get cold again if he doesn’t take enough rest. That’s more difficult, Manang.”
I think Dad is right when he said that Rozzean is a hard worker.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
“Sir is used to it, Tali, don’t worry about him. Sometimes, he even goes to work when he’s not feeling well. Maybe he just couldn’t handle it last night.”
Rozzean is quite stubborn. He’ll take his stubbornness to the grave. He’ll die early. I sat down and watched Manang. But honestly, Rozzean isn’t picky. Does he really eat these?
When I remembered that he wouldn’t be coming home, I slumped in my seat. Where could my boss be going? It seems like I’ll be thinking about this for a while.
“Manang, do you have any idea where Sir is going?” I couldn’t resist asking.
Manang picked up a paper bag from the side and placed the Tupperware inside.
“He doesn’t tell me where he’s going. Besides, he doesn’t have a reason to tell me. Rozzean is all grown up and, after all, I am just a help,” she said with a smile.
She’s right and, as housemaids, we have no right to interfere in our boss’s life. I sighed deeply.
“Why, Tali?” she asked me.
I shook my head, “Nothing, Manang. Just for curiosity’s sake, right? We’d have an idea where he is. Maybe it’ll help if he gets worse, considering he has just recovered from being sick.”
But the truth was, I wanted to know from Manang if Rozzean was meeting with a woman.
“Sir is a bachelor, and he goes to many places when he’s not working. I expect that every weekend, Tali. Surely you have an idea of what young men do?”
I drummed my fingers. Young billionaire men love to fck women.
“They have fun, Manang? Go to bars? Hang out with women?” I asked.
She laughed.
“Rozzean is wealthy, handsome, and many women are interested in him, Tali. Women are the ones who approach him, even here at the house, we have maids applying just to get close to him. And yes, maybe he’s seeing a woman right now. That could be the reason he won’t be coming home,” Manang said.
I knew it! I almost smiled widely after what Manang said.
He has a woman, or maybe he already has a girlfriend? But why is Daddy so confident? Or is Rozzean just a great pretender? It’s the last for me!
However, I needed to find out. That’s why I’m here.
Hours passed, and it was already seven in the morning. I was cleaning the living room when I saw Rozzean in his office suit, descending the stairs. I stopped cleaning and just stared at him. Wow. Jaw dropping. He’s indeed gorgeous. His hair is fixed well, the suit hugs his body and my eyes went to his broad shoulders, then to his muscles.
He is breathtakingly handsome, but I’m sorry, I really don’t want to get married. I prefer to live freely with my children. Also, attitude is what matters to me. I don’t want an arrogant ice–cold husband!
“Manang, I’m going now, where’s my breakfast?” he called out to Manang Selya.
I approached him. Manang told me to give Rozzean his breakfast when he came downstairs.
“Sir, Manang is on the rooftop, cleaning. Here’s your breakfast,” I said. I remembered to include his medication in case he started feeling a sore throat and headache again.
“And, if you experience that itchiness in your throat and a headache again, sir, there’s medicine for that. Take it immediately after eating, sir, so it won’t worsen like last night.”
He took the paper bag, but he didn’t say anything. He just stared at me. It seemed like he was examining my face again. That made me gulp. When his gaze deepened, I moved back.
W–What’s he thinking again? And why do his eyes look like he is scanning my face?!
“Sir, is… Is there something wrong with my face?” I asked, my eyebrows furrowing as he walked past me.
“Your mole bothers me.”
That’s all he said as he walked past me. I raised an eyebrow and my lips parted in surprise at what he said.
“W-What…” I just found myself touching my mole.
Suddenly, I felt irritated.
“What’s wrong with my mole?!”
