The Billionaire 1&2

Chapter 17

Chapter 17

AMBER is still in shock when she learned who is the owner of the Enchanted Forest Subdivision, it was

no other than Allison. They are roaming around the subdivision with Copper and Draco, the two were at

the veterinary clinic yesterday so she didn’t see them. She noticed that the people living there is also

fond of nature.

The subdivision is wide and the people living there will not be having any problems because the

facilities were complete. There is a view tower, a gazebo, picnic area where you can also camp. There

is also a hiking area good for those who are into adventures. There is also a maintenance facility,

commercial area, sport amenities, infinity pool, recreational hall, a clubhouse, amphitheater, a clinic

and a veterinary clinic, and most of all the place is 100% secured. But what she likes the most is the

butterfly garden.

“Mom, I am really speechless.” Amber said looking around. “The place really stands to its name; it is

very enchanting and a hundred percent eco-friendly.” She added, they are both seated on the bench

under a tree while watching the families who are happily boating on the wide lake. “If I’m not mistaken,

the place was once featured on a magazine.”

“Yes.” Allison smiled. “It was not easy at first. I was fortunate to have my younger brother to help me

send me and my brother to school. Life is hard back then and my only goal is to repay my parents.”

Allison said.

“My parents did all kinds of work. They put up a small laundry business and a store, and that is where

we are getting all the things we need for every day. Me and my brother helps out every after class and

weekends. Until I finished my course, nurse passed my board exam and worked abroad. It was hard

living alone in another country at first, but just the thought of my brother and parents keeps me going.

Until my brother finished his studies and we slowly built a house for our parents.” Allison added.

“Your parents must be so proud of you and your brother, mom.” Amber said. “They are so fortunate to

have you two.”

Allison didn’t get a chance to say anything because Copper and Draco, who are just running on the

grass suddenly jumped in front of them.

“It is good that they can freely roam around the subdivision.” Amber said as she is petting Draco. “And

they know how to get home.”

“If they are bored playing around the house and the garden they would roam around the subdivision,

they are playmates of almost all the pets here. The subdivision is secured so I don’t really mind.”

Allison said as she plays with Copper. “You know what, Amber, I’m happy that my Rafael settled down.”

Allison said after a while. “But I am really disappointed that you two got married hastily.”

“I’m sorry about that, mom.” Amber said, upset that the poor lady didn’t know the main reason.

“There’s nothing to be sorry about, hija.” Allison smiled making more guilty. “I’m so excited to start

planning your engagement party to be followed by the wedding.” Allison added with pure excitement on

her voice.

“What the!” Joshua said and puts down his phone.

“Are you okay, bro?” Rafael asked.

“Danielle suddenly cuts-off the line.” Joshua answered making him laughed. “What’s funny?”

“Did you tell her that you’re with me? Maybe he’s thinking that you’re with another woman. You’ve been

gone for 6 hours so I can’t blame her.” He answered making Joshua sighed. “But I never did expect

that you and Danielle will really end up together.”

“I’ll go back. I’ll leave the matters here in your hands.” Joshua said and stood up.

“You’re really in love with her.” Rafael said while laughing but he didn’t comment and glared at him. He

let out a sigh and looked at the documents scattered in the table.

Rafael looked around the lobby and can see the impact of what their previous employee did, back then,

their hotel is fully booked but now, he can only see some guest and no one is even calling the hotel for

reservations. He grabbed his phone and called Gabriel.

“Hey, how many days should it take for the case to be closed?” Rafael asked as soon as Gab picked

up his phone.

“It depends, but don’t worry, I’ll be pulling some strings to end this. I already called Phil and in no time,

your hotel will be fully-packed again.” Gabriel answered. “And I suggest that you should change your

manager there, basing from the investigations, he is an accomplice. There are even rumors that they’re

together but the girl is denying it.”

“Those jerks! They will pay for it.” He gritted his teeth in anger.

“Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.” Gabriel said.

“Thanks, man.” He thanked his friend.

“No worries.” Gabriel said and ended the call. Rafael fixed the documents and went to the front desk,

on the way, he meets the manager who is in a hurry but he didn’t pay him a notice.

“Good afternoon, sir.” The two receptionist greeted.

“If someone is looking for me, tell them that I went home as my wife needs me.” He said making the

two shocked.

Rafael is in his car when Amber called.

“Yes, hon?” He asked as soon as he answered the call. “I’m on my way home, is there something you

want?”

“Ahh, none. I called to ask what time will you be home, but it seems that there’s no need.” Amber said,

and he can’t help not to smile. It was a first time he felt this way, someone calling him to ask what time

will he be home is somewhat heart-warming.

“Did you miss, hon?” He teased but he was shocked when Amber suddenly cuts off the line. “What

the!” He cursed, is this what you call karma? He is just laughing at Joshua earlier but now it is

happening to him. He is about to put away his phone when amber messaged him.

Drive safely. See you later.

He smiled as soon as he read the message. He can’t wait to be home and spend time with his

wife.
