Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1067

Mia was hanging out in West Meadows while Jamie had headed off to Havenbrook on her own. Lounging on her hotel bed, Mia called Jamie, "Hey, Jamie, I'm out of town and can't swing by to see you. Have you settled in yet?"

Jamie replied, "I'm in the middle of house hunting right now."

Meanwhile, Mia's little one, Henry, was crawling around, exploring. He grabbed onto her sweater, trying to play with it, and ended up pinching her back. "Ah, Henry!" she exclaimed.noveldrama

Henry, seeing his mom's surprised reaction, burst into giggles.

Andre emerged from the bathroom and scooped up the little rascal, giving Mia a chance to continue her call. "Once you're settled, I should be able to head back too. Let's catch up then."

After hanging up, Mia headed to the bathroom to have a little chat with her son.

Around midnight, Mrs. Calder started having contractions, which lasted until nine the next morning. The doctor checked in multiple times throughout the night until she was finally whisked away to the operating room.

Little Henry, seeing the woman in discomfort, refused to be put down by his dad. When Andre tried to let him walk a bit, Henry protested loudly, forcing Andre to hold his little bundle of joy again.

As Mrs. Calder was taken to surgery, Mr. Calder went in with her.

In the hallway, Anya was left anxiously clasping her hands together, whispering, "Please let my mom and little brother come through safely."

Henry, noticing Anya, looked at his own tiny hands and mimicked her, "Aww, aww!"

In a villa living room on the other side of town, Leo had barely caught a wink of sleep. He shut down his laptop and called his girlfriend, "Hey, Anya, any updates?"

"Chad, my mom's been in there for an hour," she replied.

Leo tried to reassure her, "Don't worry. Want me to drop by this afternoon to keep you company?" "My aunt and uncle are here, so you don't need to come," Anya said.

After a bit more consoling, Leo

settled onto the couch. Around him,

a few worn-out hackers were sprawled yawning. One of them remarked, "Leo, that contest you set up - where the loser owes you a favor - was just your way to get us te work on this system, huh?"

Another chimed in, "I thought you were straightforward, but you're a sneaky one."

Leo grabbed some sodas from the fridge and handed them out, "Thanks for your help, guys. I owe you one. Let's grab some breakfast."

Soon enough, breakfast delivery arrived.

Leo got up, cleared the laptops off the table, and set the food down.

"Leo, are you in some kind of trouble?" Tony, one of the guys, asked.

"What makes you say that, Tony?" Leo responded.

Tony, known for his steady nature and sharp intuition, had been the one to bring Leo into their circle. Their backgrounds were a mystery to each other, bound by an agreement not to pry into each other's pasts, respecting their brotherhood in the online community.

"I could tell from how you were comforting your girlfriend, and how you had us pull an all-nighter on this security system... Are you planning to sell it? Are you in a financial Bind? Let us know, we're here to help," Tony said.

The geeky guy sat up, "Yeah, you even swapped your flashy sports car for a sedan. If you're in trouble, just say the word. We'll help you out."

Leo opened the takeaway boxes,

handing out forks, "Life's a

rollercoaster, whether you're loaded or strapped for cash. If you really

เวน

want to help, there'll be chance

later. But my family's alright. Iwas just on the phone because my future mother-in-law had a baby boy, and my girl is worried sick, sol was just trying to calm her down."
