Millie giggled as she munched on her chips.
Joanna was arrogant on the surface. She bragged constantly about how she was in possession of the Snowdrop and was friends with M.
So, this was how she behaved behind people’s backs. She wanted to guarantee a lifetime of luxury for other people.
Milie wanted to reject her. When she found out it was Joanna, she was interested.
She’d disliked Joanna for a long time but didn’t have the chance to do anything to her.
It wasn’t illegal to play a little prank, right?
She signed into her account and began chatting.
“Ten billion dollars.”
“Just ten billion dollars? As long as you can get me the Snowdrop, that’s nothing in comparison to what I can provide.”
“Let’s meet up to discuss further.”
“Alright!”
“Ask your boss to come talk to me personally.”
“Why?”
“We’ll meet at Room 999. I won’t entertain you if you’re late.”
Once she finished, Millie signed out.
The man was confused.
Looking at the conversation on the screen, he smiled.
The tame little rabbit who loved Winston had signed out. Slowly, the devil in Millie was making a comeback.
She was going to climb to the top and hurt the people who had wronged her for all these years.
When he thought of that, Marvin gulped and worried for Joanna. She could only pray for herself!
At night, Yerwick began drizzling. Millie got down from her deep purple Bentley and walked toward the entrance of the bar. She ran into Joanna, who hadn’t been watching where she was going under her umbrella. She scolded, “Are you blind?”
When she shifted her umbrella away, she became even more enraged upon seeing Millie. She asked, Millie, why are you here?”
Millie narrowed her eyes. She wasn’t holding an umbrella and the tain soaked her shoulders. Millie wore a black T–shirt and jeans. She wasn’t dolled up.
“Why is Ms. Lowell here?” Millie looked up at the bar and said, “If I’m not mistaken, you told people you were a pious woman. Why would you come to a place like this?”
Indeed, Joanna didn’t come to the bar often because she wanted to save herself for Winston and paint herself as a pious woman.
Joanna huffed and crossed her arms. She said arrogantly, “I’m coming to meet a friend!”
“Oh?” Millie tilted her head and led Joanna onto the topic she wanted to chat about. She continued, What friend?”
“If I say his name, you’ll be terrified!” Joanna glared at Millie, pride written across her face.
Millie pursed her lips to indicate that she was listening.
Joanna looked around. Once she confirmed that no one was listening, she leaned over to whisper into
Millie’s ear, “The one I want to meet is M, from the M Base!” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Millie narrowed her eyes. Oh?
Joanna huffed and pushed her hair back. She looked at Millie and asked, “Aren’t you stunned to hear
his name?”
Millie raised her eyebrows.
Joanna was still Joanna, a spoiled little princess who was absolutely brainless.
“I’m absolutely stunned.”
Joanna grinned. She was even prouder, “Yes, isn’t it surprising! That’s M, a man that you’ll never be able to reach in this lifetime.”
Joanna smirked. She was so grateful for Joanna’s gracious praise for her.
Joanna patted Millie’s shoulder and said, “Don’t be too jealous. We were best friends. I’ll introduce you to him if we get the chance.”
“I need to go. He’s waiting for me!” Joanna coughed gently and gave the bodyguard a glance before going in.
Looking at Joanna’s back, her gaze
darkened.
