Millie missed her shot.
“Stay calm. Take your time,” Simon advised her.
Millie nodded and smiled at him.
Winston was touched by her smile, but he quickly regained his composure. He realized his attention was on Millie when it should have been on Joanna.
Joanna was quick to sink her ball into the hole. Her movements were fast and accurate. It was obvious that she was an experienced golfer.
Winston redirected his attention to Joanna and clapped for her. ” Great shot, Jo.”
Joanna blew him a kiss and smirked before saying sweetly, “Love you, Win!”
Millie had been concentrating on the game, but Joanna’s words
managed to get into her eyes. It made her feel sick. In the end, she only managed to get two balls in the hole.
Joanna tossed her club away and took a sip of water. She stood tall like a queen as she announced, “You’ve lost.”
“I will accept my loss gracefully,” Millie replied calmly as she wiped her hands.
Winston watched Millie walk away. He couldn’t believe she’d listen to Joanna and kiss another guy.
Joanna grabbed Winston’s hand and said cheerfully, “Come on, go watch the excitement!”
Yet, Winston couldn’t bring himself to smile. He was growing worried.

As Millie glanced up, she saw a waiter, Aaron, bringing drinks. Luckily, he was young and she felt comfortable kissing him.
“Millie, sometimes it’s fine not to keep your word,” Simon said.
“It’s just a game. Since Ms. Lowell asked me to, I’ll play along,” Millie said, smiling at Simon before turning to Winston. “And I’m sure Mr. Greer wouldn’t want me to break a promise I made to his fiancée.” Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
Joanna grinned pompously with her chin up as she basked in her victory.
Winston looked gravely at Millie. The tension between them was on
the rise.
“Mr. Greer is a nice guy. Plus, you two have been married for three years already. Just consider it a joke.” Simon tried to ease the tension between them.
Millie stared calmly at Winston. Her eyes were too calm, and they were almost provocative to Winston. His heart sank. He could find a solution if Millie would just soften up a bit. He would be there for her as long as she reached out to him.
Stepping forward, Millie blocked Aaron’s path.
“Hey, Ms. Caldwell. Need anything?” Aaron asked with a charming smile and tone.
Smiling back, Millie gazed at him with her doe eyes and asked gently, “Would you mind if I kiss you?”
Aaron was taken aback. He hadn’t expected such an offer.
Winston frowned, his hands clenched into fists reflexively. He couldn’t believe what Millie was doing.
Millie glanced at Winston, seemingly unfazed. She approached

Aaron, placed her hands on his shoulders, and whispered, “I apologize if this offends you.”
Just as Millie was about to kiss Aaron, Winston abruptly seized her wrist and pulled her away.
“Enough,” he growled in a low, gravelly voice. His tone was thick with fury.
Millie slowly stepped back before meeting Winston’s eyes. She exuded confidence as if she had everything under control.
Winston’s demeanor grew ominous. The air around him became depressing.
Joanna’s smile faltered. Her enjoyment of the situation was cut short by Winston’s sudden intervention.
