Chapter 1603
Tyrone then rolled up the window and pulled out his phone to search for Sabrina's number. He stared at the screen but didn't make a call.
After some time, he put his phone away and drove to his office. He decided he would talk to her when he got back home tonight.
At the Blakely Group office.
After Kylan finished his report, he seemed hesitant.
Tyrone was looking at the report but was distracted. He asked,
"Is there something else?"
"Well... Miss Chavez was here earlier..."
Tyrone suddenly looked up. "Why was she here?"
"It seemed like she was looking for you..." Tyrone was taken aback. Did Sabrina know he lied about being at the office? Where would she go to find him after discovering he wasn't here? Wanda's place crossed his mind.
Tyrone felt a surge of panic. He swallowed hard and shut the folder, clearly agitated. "Why didn't you inform me sooner?"
Kylan looked helpless.
Tyrone dialed the driver's number and quickly asked, "Is Sabrina with you right now?"
"No."
"Did she come by the company? And where did she go after leaving the company?" Tyrone clung to a sliver of hope, wishing Sabrina had gone somewhere else.
"Your grandma's house," the driver replied.
At that moment, Tyrone took a deep breath, his eyes shut tight in agony. He was feeling utterly hopeless. Sabrina probably found out. She most likely discovered something.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
After a brief pause, the driver added, "Miss Chavez didn't actually go inside the house. She just stood at the doorway for a bit and then came back to the car."
Tyrone's smile was tinged with sadness. So, Sabrina probably heard something, which made her leave without going inside. "Where did she head to after leaving my grandma's house?"
"She went to Starry Apartment," the driver told him the community Bettie was in.
"Got it," Tyrone said and promptly ended the call.
As the call ended, the driver had the nagging feeling he'd overlooked something important. Only after hanging up did he realize he had forgotten to inform Tyrone about Sabrina's pregnancy.
Tyrone didn't pause to shut down his computer. He got up and headed out quickly. He told Kylan, "Push back the meetings scheduled for noon and later. We'll get back to it in a few days."
"Alright."
Tyrone sped off to Starry Apartment. He couldn't afford any delays this time.
When Sabrina got Tyrone's call, she was in the middle of a chat with a client.
Ever since Sabrina left the Blakely Group, lots of offers had come her way, but she wasn't interested in jumping back into work just yet, so she turned them down with grace.
She had just shared on her social media that she was on the lookout for a job, along with some of her latest work, when a client reached out to her about a gig as an ad photographer, tasked with taking all the shots for an ad campaign.
Sabrina froze for a second when she saw Tyrone's number. Picking up, she said, "Hello? What's up?"
"Sabrina... I'm right outside, on the eighteenth floor. Could you... Maybe come out to meet me?" Tyrone's voice came through.
"Aren't you supposed to be on a business trip?" Sabrina inquired.
"Sabrina, I'm sorry. I was wrong to lie to you..." Tyrone sounded uneasy. "It's just... I didn't know how to face you after... You know everything, right? Please, come out. I need to explain..."
