Chapter 98
EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER
ELAINA'S POV.
"Long live the Alpha of Noctus Umbra Pack."
"Long live Alpha Atlas."
I watched in awe as Alpha Atlas walked into the room. It was my first time seeing him and to be sincere, the rumors I heard of him did nothing to justify how much he looked good.
He was gorgeous. With his long, shoulder-length black hair, dark and sharp features.
Like the other she-wolves, I stared with my mouth wide open at him.
Today was the day he will pick a Luna. About four years ago, his parents, Alpha Leo and Luna Rita retired as the rulers of the pack. They both went to the human world and Atlas became the new Alpha. Now, he had to choose a Luna and every single she-wolf in the pack was called to the mansion for him to choose a mate from them.
He was yet to find his mate. Hopefully, his mate will be among us. If she was not, he would either have to pick a chosen mate or continue his search for his fated mate.
While the other she-wolves adjusted their dresses to impress the Alpha, I did not bother. I was nothing compared to these ladies in terms of status. The cloth I was wearing was nothing to write home about and I was only an Omega and the only child to my mother. My mother and I were among the poorest wolves in this pack, so there was no way Atlas would spare me at least a glance.
And, I was sure that the last thing the moon goddess will ever do is to pair an Omega with Alpha Atlas. He deserved a noble she-wolf and I was definitely not one.
I was only here because it was required for every she-wolf to be here. Alpha Atlas moved around, checking it out for he was expected to do so. Then, his scent hit my nose.
That moment, Seraphina, my wolf jumped up and down in my head. She was excited to see Alpha Atlas and I did not blame the wolf one bit.
Her excitement heightened when Atlas was standing directly next to me. I looked up at his face and he cocked an eyebrow. My eyes hurriedly moved from his face to the ground.
He remained standing beside me and my cheeks turned red. Why was he still standing beside me? I liked it, but I also hated it. I could barely think. The only thing that was in my head was my heart beating fast and the sound my wolf made while jumping up and down to his scent lingering around me.
In less than thirty minutes, the ceremony ended. Alpha Atlas had seen his mate. His mate was not revealed to the public, but I was sure she was of noble birth and I was excited. I wanted to see what she looked like. Immediately the announcement was made, I headed toward the exit door, ready to leave.
Some she-wolves on the other hand refused to leave. According to them, the Alpha had picked a Luna without taking a good look at them.

The she-wolves here were just stupid. The Alpha had found his fated mate. So, they expected him to leave her and check them out. For what? So, they wanted him to leave his fated mate and make any of them his Luna. 1/3
I rolled my eyes. That was just to stupid.
I left the room and walked out of the mansion. After looking around, I decided to check the mansion's garden and I was
blown away.
Their flowers were very colorful and the numerous butterflies did a lot to make this garden even more impressive.
"Why are you in my garden?"
I froze when I heard the voice.

I slowly turned to see who it was and again, Seraphina began to jump up and down my head. She really liked the Alpha and I could not help but wonder what that was about.
"I just wanted to take a look. I'll leave now," I said and quickly walked away from him.
"You're not leaving now, Elaina. We ha
