Chapter 50
“You can now be discharged today, Mr. Barson.”
Jorge was inside the hospital ward, preparing to leave. The doctor and nurse had discussed earlier that he could now be discharged as he was already doing fine. He could continue to rest at home if needed, but it was most likely not required.
The cracking sound of the door distracted Jorge’s attention. With his gaze fixed on the door, it slowly opened, and he saw that it was not the doctor or the nurse but only his daughter.
“Dad!” Olivia exclaimed, running in his direction.
She was bringing a bouquet, but his attention wasn’t focused there, but only on her presence.
“You’re here! Jorge replied, also wrapping his hands around her.
Right after they embraced each other, Olivia moved back, “Of course, Dad! I am here to pick you up. You’re now getting discharged!”
It was crystal clear how joyous Olivia was.
“Oh, I see. I didn’t know you’d come this early, Jorge retorted.
“Well, I also want to help you up, Olivia said, referring to the things that had been brought there for Jorge.
However, despite seeing Olivia alone, without Suelen, his wife, with her, Jorge didn’t bother to ask or mention her. What mattered was for him to go back, and he was already fine..
“Dad, also,” Olivia said, clearing her throat and adding, “Can we at least visit Mom at the police station? I want you to know Mom’s current situation. She’s also been worried about you.”
When Jorge was about to get his bag on the table, he suddenly paused, turned to see her, and gave her a cold look. As much as he wanted her to be mentioned again, his daughter still told him about it
“What did you just say?!” Jorge questioned, having a cold demeanor.
“I meant visiting mom… Olivia clarified. “She’s very pitiful there. She can’t even sleep at night thinking about you here in the hospital. To make her calm…Please let us visit her. It could be this afternoon…
Given what transpired, visiting Suelen at the police station didn’t cross his mind. He didn’t even plan to do so. Only Olivia dared utter it to him.
“No! Why would I?” Jorge roared, his voice echoing around the room, “If you want to visit her, then go.”
That stunned Olivia. As soon as it sank into her mind what Jorge aimed to tell, she shook her head and didn’t want him to surrender.
“Dad, please… Olivia explained once more, persuading him to come. “If you prefer visiting him alone, then….”
“Didn’t you hear what I told you?!” Jorge yelled with anger accumulated within him. “Leave!”
“Dad”

Upon hearing that, Olivia’s eyes widened in astonishment. Her body trembled in fear; quite didn’t expect her father to yell at her.
Olivia paused, losing the courage to argue with him. However, she didn’t run away and remained standing.
On the other hand, the wildflowers she had brought fell on the ground.
Jorge realized Olivia had been bringing flowers, and he had not even seen it when she arrived.
As soon as Olivia came back to her senses and saw her father’s eyes fixed on the flower, she sighed and said. “You know what? Mom bought this for you, only for you.
Olivia lowered her gaze and silently sobbed.
Jorge sighed and hesitated but still asked, “How is she? Where is she now? Tell me
In the Fisher Mansion…..
John had been too kind to Elisa. He loved her as his granddaughter, and Elisa could feel the warmth and affection showered on her. She felt so special, so Elisa had thought of anything that could repay John’s kindness.
When Elisa caught a glimpse of John reading a lot of documents, as if checking mountains of files, she approached and asked, “Can I help you, Grandpa?”
“No need. I am just checking each document. I know Joffrey will assist me later,” said John and focused his attention on the documents.
“Let me do it, Grandpa,” Elisa insisted.
At first, John still didn’t want him to do it, but Elisa kept insisting on John. John could do nothing but let Elisa check the documents.
At that time, Joffrey was also a bit busy with other things, so Elisa had the opportunity to help her grandfather.
“It’s all done now, Grandpa,” Elisa said, placing the last file on the table. “Tve reviewed all the files, and I think it’s fine now.”
“Elisa, you are amazing. You have done a great job,” John complimented and stood, staring at her. Thank you so much, Elisa!”
“Nah, I am just returning all the kindness you have done to me, Grandpa,” Elisa replied and smiled at him. “Is there anything I can assist you with?”
John waved his hand and said, “I am fine. You need to rest first. I’ll just visit Robert in his room for a while. Do you want to come with me?”
Elisa refused. She only went downstairs to look at what else she could do.
Meanwhile, John went towards Robert’s room. He knocked twice and pushed open the door even though

he hadn’t heard Robert tell him to come.
As soon as John went inside, he wandered his gaze around and happened to see Robert sitting in his wheelchair, staring coldly at him.
“You’re staring at me as if you’re furious,” John began and smirked. “Are you doing okay here?”
Robert didn’t respond and moved his gaze to the window.
John observed his cold demeanor and added, “Wandering why I am here? Well, I just want to tell you that Elisa and I went shopping. I have bought a lot of things she needed.”
“What?!” Robert asked, puzzled about why John had to do it
“Well, don’t blame Elisa. It is me who has bought her, not her who forced me, John explained, aware of what he was thinking at that moment.
Robert sneered, “What do you still expect from that woman? I know what she’s here for.”
A lot of scenes came to Robert’s wife, and she thought Elisa was only the same as a gold digger. She chos to be with him despite his situation because she wanted his money. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
“That’s too basic. Why can’t Grandpa understand it? Robert thought, shaking his head.
In the kitchen, Elisa wore an apron and held a spatula. She had decided to cook a meal for Robert. She had already asked the maid what foods Robert wanted to eat, so she cooked it with the help of the maids, too.
“Please, can you tell me how this tastes?” Elisa asked the maids, which made them come forward.
“Hmm. It’s already fine. I’m pretty sure Robert loves this,” a maid said.
Elisa smiled and couldn’t wait for Robert’s reaction later. After minutes of cooking, she was done. She served it on the table, and Robert, at that time, was also assisted in coming downstairs.
“Robert, Elisa called his attention with excitement. “I’ve cooked food for you. I hope you’ll like it.”
With that, Robert paused, turning his head in her direction, and even smelled the delicious foods she had cooked for him.
“Nah, I don’t want it. Let them eat it,” Robert declined.
Elisa was somewhat disheartened. “But…”
However, Robert had already left, so Elisa only sighed.
