Oh, My Dear Mr. Crowley

Chapter 36

Mrs. Crowley felt sorry for Rachel and said, "You are such a kind-hearted child. Why did Sebastian have to...sigh. You can go up but don't make him unhappy. If he disagrees, don't enter his room. Otherwise, you will be the unlucky one." Sebastian threw the paper bag in his hand on the ground and revealed a corner of it - it was a pair of black high heels belonging to Vivienne that she had left in the car.

He squinted at those high heels and brought them back unconsciously.

He remembered how Vivienne had thrown his shirt into the trash can and sneered: "How could I forget to throw it away?"

Someone knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

Rachel's voice sounded: "It's me, Sebastian. Is your neck injury serious? Let me apply some medicine for you."

Upon hearing Rachel's voice, Sebastian became annoyed: "Who let you come up here? Get out."

Rachel bit her lip: "Sebastian, I won't come in. I'll just stand at the door and talk to you for a few minutes. Can I?"Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

She was 29 years old this year and would soon turn thirty. She was even older than Sebastian by one year; she couldn't wait any longer as every time she looked in the mirror, she saw fine lines around her eyes no matter how much care she took of herself.

She must marry into The Crowley family quickly, or else her chances would become even slimmer.

She tried various methods to win over Sebastian's favor but failed; he never even glanced at her once since they slept together three years ago, after which he became more disgusted with her each day passing by, so much so that sometimes an entire month passed without seeing him once.

Sebastian sneered while slowly unbuttoning his shirt; he thought about Vivienne brushing past his chest with her small hands, feeling ticklish and itchy. Next time...he wouldn't let her go.

Thinking of Vivienne in his heart, Sebastian said coldly: "Rachel, I won't marry you."

This sentence stimulated Rachel; her biggest dream was to marry into The Crowley family, and she had already considered marrying Sebastian as her ultimate goal. She wanted everyone in Los Angeles to respectfully call her Mrs. Crowley and make all women envious of her.

For the past three years, Sebastian ignored her but never directly told her that she couldn't enter The Crowley family until now.

The suddenness of this statement made Rachel feel like everything had collapsed around her; she pushed open Sebastian's door: "Sebastian, why can't you accept me? What's wrong with me? Tell me, and I'll change..." Suddenly, Rachel's gaze fell on the paper bag at Sebastian's feet.

She was a woman who could not fail to recognize what it contained - a pair of women's shoes.
