Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 32

Chapter 32

Serenity did not expect to see Jenny again so soon.

Jenny was still the same as she was the first time Serenity saw her gorgeous look, impeccable makeup, and fashionable clothes. She was a star in the entertainment industry and a famous socialite in the city. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Even when Jenny visited Serenity in jail to pluck out Serenity’s nails, she was still dressed in expensive, branded clothes. She looked completely out of place in the gloomy prison.

She was almost glowing.

But it was exactly this famous star that gave the cruel order to pluck out Serenity’s nails in a sinister voice!

It also became Serenity’s lingering nightmare!

Kristin Fender had also come with Jenny. When she saw Serenity, she immediately mocked her. “Look who it is, Jenny. It’s your sister’s murderer! She’s actually working as a sanitation worker now! This must be karma.”

Serenity’s face paled but she did not say anything. She merely lowered her head and continued to sweep.

“You have such thick skin. If I were to kill someone while driving under influence, and I saw the victim’s sister, I would have knelt down to beg for forgiveness, yet you’re acting like nothing happened,” Kristin continued to mock her.

Serenity took a deep breath and slowly raised her head to look at them. “I’ve already paid the price.”

For a crime she did not commit, she went to prison for three years, got her law–practicing license revoked, suffered hardship in prison, and, after her release, she now worked as a sanitation worker.

The trajectory of her life completely changed. She already paid a huge price.

“Paid the price? You think three years in prison is enough?” Jenny said coldly. “Serenity, my sister lost her life.”

“What else do you want?” Serenity asked calmly. She’s already living the worst life possible now. She had nothing to lose

anymore.

Jenny stared at the woman in a fluorescent orange sanitation overalls in front of her.

After three years, her long black hair had wilted and become a little yellowish. Although her face was still clean, her eyes were dead. Her hands, which were holding a broom, were rough and calloused from work.

Jenny still remembered the first time she saw Serenity. She had been amazed at Serenity’s smooth, fair hands. Even her nails had been carefully maintained. Her hand looked especially beautiful when it was holding a pen.

But now, those hands held not a fine pen, but a rough and dirty broom instead.

“So your hands are still working fine!” Jenny coldly snorted, “Looks like I went a little too easy on you.‘

She said that as if Serenity was just an object to her!

Serenity’s body stiffened, and she could not help tightening her grip on the broom.

“Serenity, it’s over between you and Zeke! Stop asking your sister to approach him to ask for a role! The next time this happens, I’ll make sure you can’t hold anything with those hands anymore!” warned Jenny. When she thought of all the 3D projection advertisements that had been taken down, she hated Serenity even more.

When they found out that the person behind the removal of the advertisements was none other than Jackson Valor, the Shaw family was alarmed. They wondered if Jackson Valor was still angry with the Shaw family for Mira Hall’s death.

At first, they thought Jackson Valor had given his approval for the marriage because he accepted the invitation to the engagement party, but now, they were not so sure anymore.
