Melissa's POV
Chapter 18: He's the Only One in My Heart
I forced myself to sit up, but as I moved to get out of bed, I realized I was completely. naked.
I couldn't remember a thing from last night, so I wrapped myself in the sheets.
Just as I was about to leave, Sebastian's voice sounded behind me,
"Where are you going?"
Hearing his low, raspy tone, I didn't dare to turn around and face him.
"...I should probably go back to my own room..."
"You've made the room a mess, vomiting everywhere, and now all the clothes in the wardrobe need to be changed. You even wanted to fly out of the window directly without transforming into your wolf form." There was a hint of amusement in his voice, and I couldn't believe I'd done all that after a night of drinking. Embarrassment washed over me.
"Did I really?" I murmured, flustered.
I always thought I had excellent manners while drinking, but I was surprised when someone pointed it out directly, making me feel truly ashamed. "Melissa, how could you do such a reckless thing? Who gave you the courage to drink northern spirits?"
"I just...wanted to try it," I replied quickly, not wanting him to know that I drank because of him.
"Why?"
I tried to explain but ended up sighing.
"I had nothing else to do. I was looking forward to training with you, but you canceled it. I just wanted to relax a little."
He was surprised that it was his actions that had led me to this state.
"Yet
you didn't like a child."
protest. Isn't a Luna supposed to be calm and collected? Instead, you acted.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Don't worry. This won't happen again. Besides, I'm no longer the Luna-I should get

used to this kind of life."
I forced my voice to sound steady and reiterated.
"I know I've been foolish and insignificant, so you can rest assured! This won't happen again, and I promise not to disrupt your life."
I stood up and couldn't help but bite my lower lip, feeling a hint of grievance.
Sebastian gently wrapped his arms around me from behind. I hadn't realized I was trembling as I spoke until he held my hand, his warmth soothing me.
Through the thin sheet, I could feel the heat radiating from him.
"Nothing happened between Lydia and me. She's only helping me with something, which is why we seem so close, why she's around so often. I don't get too close to the women of the court, Melissa-you shouldn't think that way." His hand grazed my back lightly.
I couldn't help but let out a soft hum through my nose, and my snow-white skin immediately flushed pink from inside out.
"I haven't touched you because I'm not sure you've let him go completely. Until I'm certain there's no other man in your heart, I won't be anyone's substitute."
Surprise washed over me, and I could only imagine how vividly my face must have betrayed it.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
"Not training with you was my fault. I'll explain it to you later-I hope you won't be angry about it anymore."
His deep gaze held a sincerity and respect towards me.
Tears slipped down silently, glistening as they pooled in my eyes before falling, leaving a salty trace on my skin.
"If you still don't trust me, then from today on, we'll sleep in this room together."
He spoke as he lifted me up effortlessly and carried me to the bathroom.
"First, let's clean you up first, little one."
He set me gently into the soft, fragrant bubble bath and began to wash my back with a sponge. It had been so long since anyone treated me this tenderly; I felt my heart melting. "Don't be so hard on yourself again."
He brought one of his shirts and dried my hair, his teeth grazing my earlobe in a playful nibble that made me instinctively pull closer to him.
He held me tighter, a soft smile tugging at his lips.

For the first time in a long while, I slept soundly, wrapped in peace.
During breakfast the next morning, I noticed that the number of people from the "harem" seemed significantly reduced.
Just as I was about to ask what had happened, Lydia approached us.
"Good morning, Alpha," she said warmly, her entire demeanor radiating charm as she looked at the man beside me.
"And good morning, Melissa."
Sebastian looked at the fruit tart in my hand, wondering if I'd offer him the first bite. Lydia's grip on her skirt tightened, and she seemed momentarily stunned. "Hello, Melissa."
It's evident that showing respect to me was something she was very reluctant to do.
"It's true that I need your assistance, Sebastian began, his tone calm but firm, "but that doesn't mean you can invade my personal space. Things like pretending we're close or suddenly kissing me are no longer acceptable. If you want us to keep our distance, I'm more than willing to forgo your help. Starting today, stay out of my office and don't linger near my room. And most importantly, I don't want your actions causing harm to Melissa. Do you understand?"
After finishing his words, he shot me a slightly dissatisfied look, as if awaiting my reaction.
Looking at the fruit tart that I had bitten into, I gracefully popped it into his mouth.
Honestly, this whole scene was almost unbelievable to me.
I never thought he would go this far for me.
I had thought he'd only claimed not to have been involved with Lydia to comfort me.
But now, I realized how foolish that assumption was. Sebastian hadn't lied-he was slowly winning me over with his sincerity.
It felt so easy to let my emotions soar again. I hadn't been this jubilant for three months.
After breakfast, Sebastian only allowed me a half-hour of rest before leading me straight to the training field.
As soon as we began, I became acutely aware of how weak my body had become. It wasn't just a lack of strength; it was full-on exhaustion.
"Don't pressure yourself, Melissa! This isn't your fault; we have plenty of time to work on this," Sebastian reassured me, his hand brushing the sweat from my cheek.
When I grew weary, he spread out a picnic mat.

"Sebastian!" I exclaimed in surprise, delighted. No one knew how much I loved picnics.
Lying on the mat, he brought out a thermos filled with hot cocoa, then opened a jar of raspberry jam and spread it over a croissant.
"How did you....?" I was curious, but he looked calm, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Let's just say someone gave me some sound advice on how to win you over."
Phoebe's face popped into my mind, and I felt grateful to have such a friend.
The sun warmed both of us as we lounged on the mat.
I felt completely at case, every part of me sinking into a peaceful comfort.
"I think I'm falling for you, Melissa," he murmured.
A shadow fell over my face as he leaned closer, wrapped an arm around my shoulders, and pressed his lips to mine.
Pressed against the mat, I accepted his kiss.
In the intimacy where our lips and teeth clung to each other, he pried open my mouth.
Sebastian's large hands caressed my waist, turning my T-shirt into a wrinkled mess.
Meanwhile, he deepened the kiss, sucking on the tip of my tongue.
His tongue licked meticulously inside my mouth, and in the vast, empty training field, only the sound of our kissing echoed.
When we were both breathless from the kiss, I kissed his Adam's apple.
"Now can you be sure that I only have you in my heart?"
