Chapter 73 She Must Have Misunderstood
When Freya was treating her puffy eyes, her phone rang several times.
She picked it up and saw that several people had sent her messages.
Matthew wrote, ‘Kittie, I didn’t know you have this skill?
She looked at the picture, which was her work permit at the funeral home.
She then typed, ‘Are you secretly investigating me?’
He replied, ‘No, I saved it from the Internet. Don’t accuse me!”
She couldn’t be bothered by him and opened Edward’s message.
Edward wrote, “Freya! Someone has exposed your profession online and is slandering you!”
Freya raised her eyebrows slightly. She had expected this to happen.
Isabella’s messages were more straightforward, with more than ten lengthy voice messages in a row.
Freya opened one and heard Isabella’s fierce cursing. Those idiots who curse you, I will-”
She silently closed her phone and had an idea what was going on.
She opened Twitter and saw the trending topic.
After scrolling through several posts, she found that all recent posts had traces of Edward fighting alone.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
As Freya’s assistant, he had been certified as the assistant of DiligentFrey when he helped Freya post videos on Twitter. He was attacked by a group of people and fought back one by one, but he was still pitifully overpowered.
Freya laughed. She felt grateful and distressed at the same time.
She continued scrolling and saw someone saying that she taught people how to do corpse makeup and might be involved in witchcraft and curses, among other things.
There were even people who had fabricated private chat records, saying that she had asked fans for their birthdates.
As the situation developed in an absurd direction, she was thinking about whether to explain it.
She refreshed the page, and a new tweet topped the trending topic. It was from Radley.
Freya widened her eyes.
-Radley tweeted, ‘Mortician, a lonely and great profession.
There were some pictures attached below, which were all about this profession. It allowed people to have at clearer understanding of it.
His post was not only detailed but also about the purpose of this profession.
The morticians would give the deceased their last bit of dignity and allow their loved ones to see their
departed family member one last time in their original appearance.
Those who needed a mortician were mostly people who had died in accidents, and some even had broken limbs and were transported in several pieces.
No one could accept it when the deceased’s parents and lovers saw such scenes.
Freya curled her lips. She hadn’t expected Radley to have such a deep understanding of this occupation.
She refreshed the page again, and another tweet popped up.
Matthew wrote, ‘Instead of saying that Freya is a mortician who does makeup tutorials, why can’t we say that she is an excellent makeup artist doing makeup for the deceased? Doesn’t putting it this way make her sound greater?’
Ryan wrote. My cousin’s profession is great. Please don’t insult this profession. Rumors stop with the wise!
Those who were close to the Monaghan Group liked and reposted Radley’s post.
Ryan was a bigwig in the entertainment industry, and for a while, many celebrities followed suit and reposted the post to give recognition to morticians.
Freya raised her eyebrows. She, as the person involved, hadn’t said much, but the trend on the Internet had already reversed in the afternoon.
Those who had cursed her had gone silent. Some had come to apologize after understanding the truth, while some remained silent.
But there was still a small number of people arguing logically.
“The logic is there, but I still think it’s ominous. Anyway, I have unfollowed DiligentFrey
“Even if this profession is noble, it doesn’t make her noble. I think she should have disclosed that she is a mortician when she is doing beauty and health tutorials. After all, she’s putting makeup on dead
people every day!!
Freya posted a rare tweet. “Those who think it’s ominous can unfollow me, but I feel proud of my profession.
After posting on her Twitter account, Freya thought of Radley.
He unexpectedly spoke up for her.
Freya silently clicked on Radley’s Twitter and found that it was his first personal post.
She remembered how she was feeling down when she went to the Joint Department today, and how impatiently she said that it had nothing to do with him.
Freya quietly followed his Twitter account.
Not long after, Radley followed her account back.
She felt a little embarrassed, and for the rare occasion, she poured herself a cup of coffee while comforting herself that it was a way of returning the favor. Then, she went to Radley’s office.
There was only him in the office.
The door was slightly ajar, and she knocked on the door. The door creaked open.
She stood at the door while holding a cup of coffee.
He looked up. “Hey, What’s up?”
She cleared her throat. “I made you a cup of coffee. Drink some. Helps you concentrate.”
She walked to his desk and placed the coffee beside him.
Radley stared at the cup and said, “Thank you.”
Freya’s gaze had fallen on his screen and her eyes narrowed.

On the screen, two women with different styles were tied up with ropes, and their bodies were exposed.
There was a tagline. ‘Choose tools to subdue the beauty!
Below that, there was a row of buttons. ‘Small whip, small candle, small…
Freya was speechless.
When he turned his head and saw the ad that popped up on his computer, he fell silent.
“I get it. Some people have this kind of hobby… It’s not that strange. I’ll see myself out.” She forced a smile, blurted out her words, and felt even more embarrassed.
Radley’s temple throbbed. When he was researching the profession of morticians, he did click on quite a few relevant websites.
“I don’t have this hobby!” His voice was low, and if one listened carefully, one could hear him suppressing something.
“I understand. I understand. Freya was already planning to leave.
She was a little scared as she had amnesia and didn’t know how she had spent the past two years.
Looking at Freya’s questioning gaze, Radley gritted his teeth.
Just then, Connor pushed open the door and walked in. “Mr. Monaghan, the project team is proceeding smoothly. Here’s the report.”
He placed the document on the desk and only then did he realize how frosty Radley’s expression was.
“Mr. Monaghan?”
“Yes?” Radley silently closed the ad that popped up on the website and typed in a string of code to kill the
virus.
Freya must-have misunderstood!
He gritted his teeth.
Connor noticed the coffee on the table. “Your coffee has gone cold, sir. Do you want me-to get you a new one?”
“There’s no need.”
Radley’s slender hand held the cup, but it had already cooled down.
The cup was made of glass and had a small white heart on it.
It was cute.

At the Kaufmann Residence at night.
Freya lay on the sofa in the living room while surfing the internet.
Now that her mother wasn’t home, there was no one for her to talk to in the vast Kaufmann Residence.
She scrolled through Twitter and saw that Radley’s post had been reposted by several official media outlets. There was a note on it that was used to clear the name of morticians.
Those who said that morticians were scary were truly ignorant and superstitious!
After she finished reading, she found that she had received several private messages on Twitter.
She scrolled through them and saw that many media outlets wanted to interview her about being a mortician.
With Twitter in such a state, this profession had become a hot topic in a short term.
After politely declining the invitations one by one, a message popped up on her phone.
Matthew wrote, ‘Kittie, do you want to come to my show for an interview?
The Hoods’ subsidiaries invested in several TV programs, which had good reputations and traffic in the country. Freya thought for a moment and realized that this was an opportunity to let everyone understand this profession thoroughly while it was in the midst of controversy. It could also help to clear the name of colleagues who were also morticians.
Matthew sent another message. ‘Kittie, you know the saying, keep the goodies within the family? I heard that many programs want to invite you. You can’t accept them!’
Freya laughed and typed, ‘Alright, I’ll go to your show. Just arrange a time for me!
