Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

"Your words are too kind. I owe my experiences to your father," Zack replied with gratitude, acknowledging the constant support he had received.

Zack treated Linda and Chloe like his own children and cherished them dearly. When John couldn't attend Linda's activities, it was Zack who went in his place. "Since Chloe's back, let's go have a meal. We can discuss things over dinner," Linda suggested, hinting that she didn't want Chloe to know about certain matters. Zack understood Linda's intentions and agreed, "Let's eat first. I came here straight from the airport and haven't eaten all day."

The three of them went to the hotel restaurant for dinner.

Zack, a fun-loving person, was someone Chloe had enjoyed spending time with since she was young.

"Zack, even though I missed my parents and Linda when I was in Idaly, I always thought of you," Chloe said.

"You missed playing with those strange gadgets with me?" Zack teased, seeing through her thoughts. Chloe nodded shyly. "Zack, you were my first friend who didn't care about the age difference."

Zack smiled. "I'm lucky to be friends with you."

After dinner, Linda booked a room for Zack to spend the night.

After a few days of investigation, it was confirmed that Ida's actions were indeed criminal.

Osmo Art Academy revoked her bachelor's degree and all the awards she had received during her time there. The dean of the Jewelry Design Academy was also dismissed from his position and placed under investigation.

The dean never expected a graduate from years ago would bring about his downfall. He had thought he could rest easy, only to be caught in this scandal.

Linda sat in her office, reading reports about the incident online. Strangely, she didn't feel particularly happy or satisfied. Ida deserved her fate and wasn't worthy of pity.

Chloe entered with a plate of fruit and handed it to Linda. "Linda, do you think Ida will be sentenced?"

Linda picked up a cherry and popped it into her mouth. "She's responsible for a death. What do you think?"

It was almost certain that Ida was guilty. She was the mastermind, even if she didn't commit the act herself. A sentence was inevitable unless she found a scapegoat or had concrete proof of her innocence. "Do you think Joanne will help her?" Chloe asked as she suddenly thought of Joanne and found it

amusing

After all, Ida was raised by Joanne, and there had to be some feelings between them. Besides, Ida did everything for Joanne, so she shouldn't be heartless.

But Chloe was naive.

Joanne had never been a good person. She was selfish and only cared about herself, seeing Ida merely as a pawn. She wouldn't risk herself for a pawn,NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Moreover, Joanne wasn't entirely innocent either. If she tried to save Ida, she might end up incriminating herself, making the risk not worth it. "Chloe, not everyone is a good person."

Chloe nodded. "Being a good person doesn't always bring good results."

Linda said, "That's why I've always taught you to be selfish."

Having lived for 28 years, Linda had learned many hard truths from her unpleasant experiences over the past 24 years.
