Chapter 25: His Tight Hold
Kourtney felt her cheeks flush deeper as she realized the implications of their current position. She was seated on his lap with his arms encircling her waist, and the intensity of his gaze was undeniable. She immediately struggled to get off him, but the man just wouldn’t budge. He held her tightly against him.
“Mr Woods, I beg you to let me go now.”
“Why the rush? We’re a married couple, after all. What’s wrong about sitting on me?” he rasped.
Sebastian’s tone was defensive, and he continued to hold her with an iron grip in a possessive manner. Even his usually composed expression was replaced by a flicker of something more primal. There was a burning heat evident in his eyes.
Kourtney, on the other hand, was flustered and conflicted, her face a deep shade of crimson red. She wriggled in his embrace, desperately trying to free herself.
‘This man! How much more petty can you get!’ she thought.
Meanwhile, Sebastian’s body, against his better judgment, responded to the close proximity of his wife.
The ordinary act of feeding him soup had unexpectedly stirred something within him. And now, Kourtney’s movements on his legs, the delicate brush of her palms pushing against his sturdy chest, and the way she squirmed were awakening reactions that had been dormant for far too long in him.
He muttered something unintelligible under his breath, his eyes narrowing with a hint of desire.
He held her closer, his breath catching for a second as he struggled hard to maintain his composure. He could feel her warmth against him, and the more she wriggled, the more his body responded to an instinctive longing.
Kourtney, oblivious to the effect she was having on her seemingly stoic husband, continued to squirm, attempting to break free from his unexpected stronghold. But he seemed unyielding, his hold tightening once again.
“Better stop moving, Woman!” Sebastian’s voice had turned rough and huskier.
“Mr Woods, we’re in a hospital room. Can you please act more appropriately?” Kourtney whispered, hoping to bring some sense to the situation.
“You’re my wife. There’s nothing inappropriate about this.”
“Mr Woods, please… yyou… let me go.” Kourtney continued her futile struggle to free herself from him. But she was unintentionally stirring him up by doing so.
Her ass was directly pressed down against Sebastian’s crotch, and he was, after all, a hot-blooded male with a primal instinct. Her every move seemed to awaken something in him. Also, this woman was his legal wife!
“Stop moving, it’s getting me… Stimulated!” Sebastian admitted shamelessly, much to Kourtney’s dismay.
Her eyes widened in shock at the man’s outrageous words, her ears turned red, and she felt her cheeks burn hotter. She blinked blankly at him, noticing that his eyes had turned somewhat dark while his pupils dilated. One could see the sheer lust in them.
Even as he spoke, his hot breath lingered on her neck, and Kourtney couldn’t ignore the subtle heat radiating from him.
“I-I’m just trying to get up. I didn’t mean to-”
Her movements ceased, and she stilled, now acutely aware of the charged atmosphere in the room. Sebastian’s breath behind her ears was ragged and hoarse, making her legs tingle.
“Intentions don’t always align with the effect, my dear. So, it would be much better if you stay still,” Sebastian groaned while his eyes traced the contours of her pretty face.
Kourtney, thoroughly flustered, felt her cheeks reddening more and more. She could feel her heart beating faster as his breath tickled her ear. This was certainly not the direction she expected their evening to take.
His arms around her felt both possessive and protective, creating a sensation that she couldn’t quite decipher. The confined space of the hospital room appeared to worsen the tension, creating an unexpected intimacy that neither of them had bargained for.
“This doesn’t feel so bad, does it?” Sebastian said in a low murmur, and Kourtney’s breath hitched.
“I-I think I should go now,” she stammered, avoiding his intense gaze.
There was a hunger in his look, a desire that seemed to heighten with each passing moment. Kourtney, uncomfortable with the newfound tension, felt her blush deepen.
‘Oh, I’m screwed.’
Just then, a knock on the door interrupted the charged atmosphere. Startled but thankful, Kourtney tried to pull away, but Sebastian held her back.
The door swung open, revealing Sebastian’s personal doctor and close friend, Ryan Turner. His eyes widened in shock as he took in the unexpected sight before him.

Sebastian Woods, his cold-hearted and soulless friend, allergic to any form of feminine touch and closeness, was holding a gorgeous green-eyed brunette in his arms. Ryan’s mouth hung open for a moment before clearing his throat awkwardly.
Sebastian had even been a subject of his medical research for years, and this revelation was beyond shocking to him. No cure or progress has been achieved so far in terms of Sebastian’s strange allergy.
“I-I apologize for interrupting,” he stammered, trying to regain his professional demeanor. “I didn’t realize you had company.”
Kourtney, torn between the embarrassment of the situation and an inexplicable thrill, tried to stand up from Sebastian’s lap and break free from his grasp once again. However, Sebastian’s grip around her waist tightened as if asserting his claim and a subtle smirk played on his lips.
Kourtney shot him a deadly and bewildered look, her embarrassment transforming into annoyance and confusion. She couldn’t believe how petty and shameless he was. The man wasn’t willing to let go of her even after being caught in such an intimate position by the doctor.
Sebastian, still unbothered, responded with a casual nod, “No need for apologies, Ryan, this is my Wife.”
Ryan blinked in disbelief, his eyes darting between Sebastian and Kourtney.
“Yyour wife?” Ryan managed to choke out, his voice cracking with incredulity.
He had seen the news of Sebastian announcing he was married earlier during the week, but then, he thought it was all a facade. After all, he knew so much about Sebastian’s allergic problem.
“So it’s true? You got married!!!”
Sebastian’s grin widened, revealing a hint of triumph. “Ahh… Yes, meet Kourtney, my lovely wife.
Kourtney, still flustered, gave a little nod, her eyes avoiding Ryan’s gaze.
“Hi, nice to meet you, Doc.”
Ryan, amidst his shock, managed a forced smile.
“Same here. It’s a pleasure. I’m Doctor Ryan Turner, Seb’s childhood friend and personal Doctor. We go way back.”
Kourtney offered a polite smile despite the awkwardness of the situation. She remained perched on Sebastian’s lap!
She couldn’t help but notice Ryan’s visibly surprised expression. She wondered why the man looked so dumbstruck as if he’d seen a ghost when he came in. That made her really uncomfortable!
Ryan adjusted his golden-framed glasses on the bridge of his nose.
“Bastian, I… I didn’t realize you had overcome your a”
“Did you come for something, Doc? You’re disturbing my private time with my Wife,” Sebastian’s expression turned dark as he interrupted Ryan rudely.
He knew what Ryan meant to say, and he did not want Kourtney to find out about his condition, at least for now. Luckily, Ryan was quick enough to get the hint.
“AH… Yes, I came because we need to check up on you and also discuss your test results.”
Finally, the opportunity Kourtney had been waiting for came through, and she managed to break free from Sebastian’s grasp. She stood up awkwardly, trying to salvage some of her dignity. There was an annoyed look plastered on her face as she crossed her arms and spoke with spite.
“Oh, hi, Doc. It’s good that you came. I’ve been meaning to know what’s wrong with him. Is it something serious?”
Ryan’s eyes darted between the couple once more. He paused for a few seconds, considering what to say as Sebastian’s piercing blue eyes were shooting daggers at him.
