Chapter 340
Alistair's expression suddenly darkened, Just as he was about to defend Audrey, she spoke up, "I don't have anything to hide. If you want to play, then I'll join you."
With that, a spark of interest flickered in her eyes as she casually pulled out a chair and sat down.
At this moment, those who knew Audrey well could tell that Raeyon was in trouble.
Alistair smirked a bit and said, "It's been a while since I've played a game. Count me in."
Upon hearing these words, Helena, who was about to leave, stopped in her tracks.
She exclaimed inwardly, 'Wow! This is gonna be exciting.'
Worried that Audrey might get bullied, Yelimia and Leila also wanted to join in.
Jingle, Paula, and Yulia had initially planned to leave.
But they decided to join in with some hesitation because Raeyon changed the mood and made them feel ashamed to come up with more reasons to leave.
Therefore, the nine people sat in a circle around the coffee table, with Kieran acting as the referee.
Since there were many players, the game rules were kept simple.
Kieran brought a bottle of sponsored drink and placed it on the table, saying, "Since we're here to relax,
we won't play anything too complicated. We'll just spin the bottle.
"Whoever the bottle points to has to choose to accept a dare or a truth challenge. Those who fail the challenge will receive a prank punishment. Do you all agree?"
"Yes," everyone responded in unison.
Kieran chuckled, handed the bottle to Jingle beside him, and said, "Let's start with Jingle."
Feeling relieved, Jingle took the bottle.
She held the bottle, looked around at everyone, blinked playfully, and said, "I'm going to spin it now." Then she immediately started spinning the bottle.
Since everyone agreed to play the game, they all cooperated fully, staring intently at the spinning bottle, showing expressions of tension.
After a few seconds, under everyone's watchful eyes, the bottle stopped, pointing at Yelimia.
Everyone started cheering.
Yelimia couldn't believe her bad luck, getting picked right from the start. But she cooperated, saying, "Ask ahead."
She picked "truth" this round.
Aware of Yelimia's temper and cautious not to offend her, Jingle hesitated briefly before saying, "Yelimia, could I use 'truth' to exchange for a favor?"
Yelimia glanced at her with an unreadable expression, patiently asking, "What kind of favor?"
"Yelimia, I'm actually a big fan of yours," Jingle said with a smile and admiration in her eyes. "I'd much rather watch you dance than hear the truth. Could you grant this wish?"
Yelimia looked at Jingle in surprise but didn't consent immediately. She then turned to ask Kieran, "Is this okay?"
Kieran smiled gently. "Yes, it's not ruled out."
"Then I'll dance." Yelimia's tense expression relaxed into a smile. She asked, "Jingle, which dance do you want to see?"
Jingle excitedly chose one of Yelimia's iconic dances.
Yelimia had performed this dance countless times, leaving no room for error.
When the dance ended, it was met with a roomful of applause.noveldrama
Yelimia also felt much closer to Jingle.
They even exchanged contact information.
Seeing how easily Jingle won Yelimia's favor, both Paula and Yulia felt a twinge of jealousy.
Even after living with Yelimia for so long, they still didn't have her contact info.
Yelimia's performance livened up the atmosphere.
Soon it was Yulia's turn to spin the bottle, and it ended up pointing right at Helena.
Thinking that the two would be opponents in the second round of the elimination match, Yulia felt a bit nervous facing Helena.
Not daring to offend Helena, Yulia imitated Jingle, trying to be nice, and said, "How about Helena sings a song for us?"
However, Helena didn't appreciate it,
gave a cold look, and said grumpily, "Why should I sing for you? Do you think I'm some bar singer or something?"
Yulia was dumbfounded, hastily waving her hands to explain, "No, Helena, that's not what I meant." She was just trying to make things easier for Helena.
Helena snorted, her tone becoming increasingly sarcastic as she mocked, "I'm not the type who can't take a joke. Why are you just imitating others? Can you think for yourself?"
These words were aimed not only at Yulia but also criticized Yelimia.
Yelimia rolled her eyes silently but didn't bother arguing with Helena.
Helena, however, was holding a grudge as she had never gotten along with Yelimia.
Losing to Yelimia in the first stage upset her already, and now Yulia dared to treat her the same way people treated Yelimia.
Helena was annoyed.
Yulia felt wronged and upset. She couldn't understand why the same situation ended well for Jingle, but she was the one getting scolded.
Seeing Helena's noticeably upset expression, Yulia was so anxious that she cried.
Finally, Kieran stepped in to mediate the situation. "Alright, Helena, don't take it out on the youngsters. Just pick truth or dare."
After confronting Yulia, Helena felt much better and didn't argue with Kieran anymore, agreeing by saying, "I'll pick 'truth'."
After causing such a scene, Yulia didn't dare to ask any daring questions. She forced herself to ask something innocuous just to get through it.
Paula quickly learned from the situation.
When it was her turn to spin the bottle, it ended up pointing right at Leila.
Paula immediately and tactfully asked, "Leila, do you pick truth or dare?"
Leila, with her carefree nature, laughed openly and said without a second thought, "Dare."
Paula thought for a moment and then said, "Call the person who is ranked tenth in your most recent call records and tell the person four words."
Leila's eyelid twitched; she had a bad feeling about this and asked, "Which three words?"
"I am into you," Paula gathered the courage to say.
Leila was taken aback.
Everyone burst into laughter, and
Helena playfully slapped her thigh, teasing "Paula, they might think. you're confessing your love to Leila. Haha, you young folks really know how to have fun."
Paula looked at Leila a bit nervously and whispered, "If you don't want to take the challenge, you can choose to drink as the penalty."
Those were just the rules of the game; it wasn't specifically targeting Leila.
Leila didn't overthink it and immediately said, "It's no big deal. I accept it."
Her contact list was full of familiar names, and saying "I am into you" to someone she knew wouldn't cause her harm.
Kieran, perhaps seeing through Leila's hesitation, encouraged her, "Just calling isn't fun enough; you should project it for everyone to see."
Leila was puzzled. "What's so interesting about my contact list?"
Kieran deliberately said, "Oh, we're just afraid you might randomly dial a fake number to fool everyone." "Alright then," Leila didn't think too much about it and agreed.
She took out her phone and scrolled through her recent calls. When she counted to the tenth one listed as Owen, her fingers shook a bit.
There was just a word on the screen, but it made Leila's heart race.
She thought, 'What a coincidence! It turned out to be Owen.'
What do you think?
