Chapter 45
Chapter 45
“How would I know? I call people based on the resumes I receive. If your name wasn’t called, it means I didn’t get your resume.”
The woman said this while pressing the elevator button.
“No way! I submitted my resume, how could it be missing? Did you overlook it? Can you go back and check again?”
Frowning, the woman replied, “Are you kidding me? I said it’s not there! How could I mess up with just a few resumes?”
Trisha forced a smile and said, “Sis, I didn’t mean it that way. This audition is really important to us. Can you help us out and let us try again? It won’t take up too much of everyone’s time.”
“I don’t have that much power, and besides, the role has already been chosen. You’d be better off trying your luck with another crew,”
With that said, the elevator opened, and the woman walked straight in.
Tnsha hurriedly called the friend who submitted the resume to ask what happened.
Celeste stood silently beside her, not saying a word. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
It was clear, her resume had been swapped
Auditions for Zach’s productions were always competitive. If Trisha could sneak Celeste’s resume in, others could easily replace hers. As a newcomer not signed to any agency, even if her resume was switched, she had no way of pursuing the matter.
After hanging up the phone, Trisha let out a string of curses.
Then, she looked at Celeste, feeling guilty. After all, she had confidently said everything was taken care of, but now they’ve come back empty handed, which was quite embarrassing.
“Letti, I’m so sorry. I really didn’t expect this to happen. I’ll keep an eye out for other opportunities for you in the future…”
“As long as I haven’t signed a contract, everything is uncertain, right?”
Celeste suddenly said coldly. Trisha was taken aback, “What are you planning to do?”
With a slight smile, Celeste replied, “I want to give it a try. If I get kicked out later, just pretend you don’t know me”
Before Trisha could react, Celeste took off her glasses, tied up her hair, put on her blazer, and knocked on the hotel room door.
“Hello, room service”
The next second, the door opened, and Celeste was invited in.
Trisha’s eyes widened in surprise, exclaiming, “Is this even possible?”
Celeste lowered her head and followed.
The audition room was a suite with ample space.
The person who opened the door for her said while walking, “It seems there’s a problem with the bathroom exhaust fan. Can you fix it?” Realizing she came empty handed, he was about to ask when
Celeste suddenly rushed into the living room, shouting, “Mr. Miller, I’m the 17th auditionee, my name is Celeste. Please give me a chance to audition!”
The people in the room realized something was wrong and hurried to stop her, “The audition is over, please leave!”
Celeste struggled and shouted, “It’s not over until the contract is signed! Didn’t you hold a public audition to find the most suitable
actor? How can you be sure you’ve found the right person when not all the actors have auditioned?”
“Get out! The audition is over, and if you keep this up, we’ll call the police!” Celeste was so strong that two grown men could hardly hold
her back.
“Mr. Miller! At least give me a chance, just seven minutes, no, five minutes, that’s all I need, Director Miller!”
As the two sides argued fiercely, the door to the inner room opened, and Zach came out, frowning. “What’s all the noise out here?”
