Chapter 16: The Embarrassment of Buying Contraceptive Pills
Austin frowned. His indifferent eyes were sharp. His voice was clear and cold. "She bought the wrong
medicine. If something goes wrong with her, should you take full responsibility?"
When the store manager heard the words, she turned and looked at the salesperson and pharmacist in
the drugstore angrily, "Who gave this lady the wrong medicine?"
A female salesperson in drugstore uniforms stood up. She looked at the handsome and imposing man,
and then at the store manager, "I didn't give her the wrong medicine. This lady did say that she needed
contraceptives."
At this moment, Maisy just wanted to kill herself. She was so embarrassed. She just went out to buy
contraceptives but could also cause a small storm.
She didn't want to others know, but now everyone in the drugstore knew that she had come to buy
contraceptives.
She glared to Austin. What medicine she bought had nothing to do with him. Even if she bought the
wrong medicine, it was none of his business.
Her voice was mixed with a hint of anger, "Sir, it is my business to buy the wrong medicine or what
medicine I buy. It’s none of your business."
Then she looked at Hanna who stared at her suspiciously, and whispered, "Hanna, let's go."
Austin's deep and narrow eyes narrowed, staring at Maisy's slender back. The deep voice came out
from his thin and sexy lips, "You have already taken the contraceptive pill."
Hearing that, Maisy's back stiffened. She was stunned for a while, and then she quickly pulled Hanna
out of the drugstore.
What did he mean? Could it be that he had fed her the contraceptive pill after they had sex?
Leaving the pharmacy, the two walked a long way. Hanna crossed her arms across her chest. She
squinted at Maisy, "Maisy, tell me the truth, is the man who had a one-night stand with you the
handsome guy in the drugstore?"
Maisy looked at Hanna. Her small and beautiful face was a little embarrassing. Just when she was
about to deny it, Hanna interrupted her.
"Maisy, I'm your best friend. If you hide it from me, I will never talk to you."
Maisy saw Hanna frowning, so she nodded, "It's him."
"Oh my God!" Hanna took a sigh of relief, then smiled at her, "Maisy, you’re so lucky. That man looks
so handsome and has a good temperament. You and him have a one-night stand. You don’t suffer any
loss, so don’t worry about it anymore. Anyway, your first time was to that drop-dead handsome man.
It’s better to divorce Alex as soon as possible and marry that cute man. Anyway, Alex can’t wait to
divorce you."
Hearing Hanna's words, Maisy twitched her lips. At this moment, the mobile phone in her bag rang.
She took it out to see. It was a call from Alex's grandfather. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
For Alex's grandfather, Maisy had always been very respectful to him, because he treated her as his
real granddaughter.
"Grandpa, what’s the matter?" Maisy's tone was very calm, with a faint smile on her face.
"Maisy, tell Grandpa, did Alex take the woman home on your first wedding anniversary?" Arthur's
slightly angry voice came on the phone.
Although Maisy hated Alex for what he did, she never liked to complain to Grandpa. Besides, she didn't
want Arthur to get angry.
He was about to reach seventy years old. His health was not very good. She didn't want him to get sick
anymore, so she concealed the matter for Alex.
