In the Golden Fountain Club, Alpha Kilian emerged from his room and summoned Frank.
“Have you retrieved her?” he growled. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
Frank replied, “I have already sent Young Madame back to the Castle.”
“Good,” Alpha Kilian snarled before abruptly ending the call. He turned to head to the bathroom, but as he did, he collided with a waiter carrying curry rice.
The hot broth spilled all over Alpha Kilian’s clothes.
The waiter stood frozen in shock, trembling as he quickly apologized. “Sir, I am deeply sorry.”
Alpha Kilian scowled, but did not scold the waiter. He simply turned and left.
As the clandestine boss of the Golden Fountain Club, Alpha Kilian had his own room there. Before he got married, he often stayed to oversee operations. However, after his marriage, he rarely set foot in the place.
Inside his room, all the necessary toiletries and clothes were readily available.
He entered the room, removing his shirt, and turned to search the wardrobe for fresh clothes.
His eye caught a navy blue shirt. Just as he reached out to grab it, he sensed someone approaching from behind. Pausing for a moment, he swiftly turned around and clasped the neck of the intruder.
“Who dares to disturb me!” he snarled.
The person’s neck felt slender, indicating that it was a woman.
Alpha Kilian lowered his gaze to see a familiar face.
Jessica stood before him, wearing only a suspender dress with seductive makeup. Despite being choked, she maintained a provocative gaze. “Alpha Lances, should you not be gentle with girls? You’re applying too much force. I can barely breathe,” she coquettishly exclaimed.
Unfazed by her attempts, Alpha Kilian promptly threw her out of the room, his face contorted with disgust. “Leave immediately,” he commanded.
Refusing to back down this time, Jessica scrambled up from the ground, determined to get closer to “Alpha Dominic.”
However, “Alpha Dominic” was prepared. He swiftly sidestepped, causing Jessica to tumble to the floor.
Alpha Kilian took out his phone and called the security room. “There’s a deranged woman here. Come and remove her.”
He closed the door and swiftly changed his clothes.
Not one to easily accept defeat, Jessica continued to resist the security guards as they tried to escort her away. “He’s my boyfriend! Let go of me!”
Alpha Kilian, now dressed, emerged from the room. He shot the security guard a cold glare. “Why is she still here? If you can’t handle such a simple matter, perhaps the Golden Fountain Club needs a new security team.”
Though the guard remained unaware that Alpha Kilian was the club’s boss, he understood that anyone who could have a long-term reservation at the prestigious Golden Fountain Club must be wealthy and influential. Such guests had the authority to demand staff changes.
The guard’s sympathy waned. He forcefully dragged Jessica away, all the while bowing respectfully and apologizing to Alpha Kilian. “Apologies, sir.”
Alpha Kilian remained silent, but just as the guard was about to leave, he stopped him.
“Take her to the police station. Tell them she harassed me.”
Confused, the guard hesitated, not knowing how to respond.
After working at the Golden Fountain Club for years, it was the first time he had witnessed a male guest claiming to be harassed by a woman.
Nonetheless, this aristocratic male guest spoke matter-of-factly.
“Alright, understood,” the guard finally replied.
Jessica had never endured such humiliation from a man before. She continued to protest, “It was Shadow who told me you would be here tonight. She sent me to see you. She doesn’t appreciate you despite all you’ve done for her.”
The security guard swiftly covered Jessica’s mouth and hurriedly escorted her away.
Alpha Kilian’s expression turned grim as he narrowed his eyes and muttered softly to himself, “Shadow.”
Returning to his room, Xavier noticed Alpha Kilian’s foul mood and inquired, “What happened?”
In a deep voice, Alpha Kilian declared, “The clubhouse needs a new staff.”
The waiter who had collided with him must have been bribed by Jessica. She must have discovered his room through him.
The Golden Fountain Club prided itself on its privacy, but it seemed that many of the employees there had lost their professionalism and needed to be disciplined.
As dinner concluded, Xavier noticed that Alpha Kilian remained seated, an unusual occurrence.
Hadn’t he been in a hurry to return home after work lately? Even if he had other matters to attend to, he rarely stayed behind.
Xavier couldn’t help but feel confused. “Why aren’t you leaving?”
“You go ahead. I won’t be going home today,” Alpha Kilian declared, rising from his seat and grabbing his coat.
Xavier scratched his head, wondering if he and Alpha Kilian had fought.
…
After finishing her meal, Shadow returned to her room but found herself unable to sleep. She tossed and turned, plagued by thoughts of Jessica’s potential success in seducing Alpha Dominic.
Although it seemed Jessica hadn’t reached him at the Golden Fountain Club for now, if “Alpha Dominic” had chosen to stay away, Shadow couldn’t fully relax.
Restlessly, she kept her ears attuned to the sound of a car engine.
But as midnight neared, she heard no such sound.
In other words, Alpha Dominic hadn’t returned yet.
Impatiently, she retrieved her phone, contemplating calling him. Her fingers hovered over the screen, hesitant to press the dial button. The more she thought about Alpha Dominic, the guiltier she felt.
Eventually, exhaustion overcame her, and she fell asleep in the latter half of the night.
The next day, Shadow awoke feeling restless despite her lack of sleep.
She descended the stairs, her curiosity getting the better of her. She couldn’t resist asking the security guard, “Did Alpha Dominic return last night?”
The guard shook his head. “No.”
Shadow’s heart sank.
On her way to work, she gathered her courage and dialed Alpha Dominic’s number.
The phone rang several times before “Alpha Dominic” answered.
“What is it?” his voice sounded hoarse, as if he had just awakened.
According to their usual routines, he should have been awake long before Shadow.
“It’s nothing. I pressed the wrong button by accident. Just ignore it and go back to sleep,” Shadow rushed to say before hanging up.
Biting her lip, she couldn’t help but wonder if Jessica had truly succeeded.
The thought of “Alpha Dominic” being with Jessica at that very moment made Shadow extremely uncomfortable and filled her with regret.
On the other end, Alpha Kilian ended the call with a slight smile.
So, Shadow couldn’t resist calling him?
Well, let her stew in her nerves for a while.
Alpha Kilian felt in a good mood as he picked up the internal line and ordered, “Bring me a cup of hot water.”
Neglecting to turn on the heater the previous night, he had caught a cold.
