Chapter 56 She Was Ready
She didn’t want to be played by him any longer, nor did she want to involve Eva. She had no other choice but to kill him!
She crushed the medicine, picked up the bottle of wine, filled the wine glass, and hid the dagger under a pillow on the bed.
After that, Amelia turned off the light and sat on the sofa, waiting for Kevin to arrive.
Twenty minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
Despite putting on a calm, brave face, her hands still trembled.
She was nervous and scared. But she had made it this far, there was no choice but to keep going through with her plan.
She put down the bottle in her hand and took a deep breath. Then, she walked to the door and slowly opened it.
The man at the door wore a gold–bronze mask, covering his
whole face.
As soon as Amelia saw him, she felt that something was wrong. She tried to close the door, but he put his hand on it, his hold too strong for her to push back.
After the man forced his way in, he turned off all the lights.
The room instantly fell into darkness, and Amelia could only see his dark figure from the light outside the window.
She couldn’t stop trembling. The man in front of her was not Kevin!
Judging from his height and figure, she thought he looked a little like James.
However, James always had a faint scent of snow pine, while this person had a strong, perfume smell.
James had always been meticulous about his appearance, making sure his hair was flawlessly styled and only wore the finest business suits. But this man had messy hair, and wore a white shirt and brown pants, casual clothes that James would
never wear.
And lastly, there was a slender tattoo of a ferocious green dragon on his collarbone. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
James had severe mysophobia. He would never have such a bold and blatant tattoo on his skin.
After excluding both Kevin and James, Amelia was sure that the person in front of her was a stranger, and she had no idea what he wanted with her!
