I Died

I Died 5

“This is why I’ve been asking if Luna Aurora is missing….” Dimitri struggled for words. Even then, he still couldn’t believe what they found out.

How funny it was to see that the Beta of this pack cared about my whereabouts first before my mate ever did.

“Alpha, I know this is hard to grasp but we need to face the truth,” Dimitri said, giving him a supportive pat.

Little by little, everything was dawning on Logan. He went closer to the pack healer as well, trying to confirm the shocking truth once more. His voice was shaky, and I saw how his hands trembled. “The deceased is… Aurora? No fucking way, that’s

impossible!”

He trembled even more, almost losing his balance. “How could it be her? No… Do it again! She, she…”

Seeing how Logan was completely losing his demeanor, Beta Dimitri steadied him, his tone gentle. “I get that this is a lot to take in right now, Alpha, but we must accept the truth to give justice to the Luna as soon as possible,” he said almost quietly.

The room was eaten by the deafening silence after that. Logan took a few deep. breaths, trying to calm himself.

“Are you sure it’s her? Or you and Aurora are making something up to mess with me?” He asked, suspicion dripping from his words. The wolves, including the elders who heard his question, gasped.

Even Dimitri’s eyes widened as if he could not believe what he was hearing. “What? Why would I lie about this life–and–death situation?” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“You don’t know how sneaky she can be!” The Alpha spat out, clearly frustrated.

I wanted to scowl at him and shout all the curses I knew, but I held my breath in.

“Have you forgotten? Your so–called respected Luna pushed my first love to bail on me and leave the town in the past. She’s been playing mind games for years and I’ve seen through her act!”

Hearing my mate’s venomous words, I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. It turned out, he’d been stewing in resentment towards me all along.

Through the years, he never once treated me as his mate… his Luna, his other half. Even after my efforts, he never saw me.

Ah, why did I realize everything now that I was dead?

I just smiled through tears. My young love meant nothing in the end.

Back when we were young, I fell head over heels for Logan the moment I laid eyes on him. We were taught by the same teachers at an exclusive academy for wolves, and that was where we met each other.

I was from Moon Shadow Pack, the pack that treasured me, cared for

cared for me, and treated me like I was a treasure handed by the Goddess herself. But I was foolish enough to leave everything behind for an Alpha.

Back then, little did I know he was dating the well–known she–wolf in the academy, Isabel. They never flaunted their relationship, so I dove in headfirst, doing everything for him–breakfast, laundry, you name it.

But after six months of hustle, all I got was a cold “Don’t bother, I’m just not into you.”

However, things turned around so fast. I was about to stop everything I was doing for him, I was about to give up my feelings, and I was about to focus on other things when suddenly he came up to me one day, saying, “Let’s try to work it out.”

I was over the moon and said yes through tears. Naive, wasn’t I? I just signed up for the most miserable life ever. I wasted years of my youth and adulthood for a man who never glanced at my side. Maybe that was the reason why I became a Lunar Wraith.

Turned out, he asked me to try the relationship between us because it was the same day Isabel dumped him. He was hurting and I was his only way out, a rebound. Logan tried to elicit a reaction from Isabel by using me, but she didn’t even bother.

When Isabel was about to leave the pack for good, he didn’t think twice about dropping to his knees, begging her not to leave him. Could you imagine? The almost 6–foot–tall Alpha of Crimson Crescent Pack was bawling like a pup. It was so cringeworthy.

I was there, watching it all go down. All I remember was seeing Isabel saying. something to Logan while glancing at me before she turned around and left, leaving Logan a broken man.

He came to me afterward, looking like he’d been hit by his rival Alpha in the next town. “Don’t even think you can replace Isabel,” he said.

But I was stupidly in love. Seeing his first love leave, I thought I’d won the war. So, I doubled down on my efforts, determined to make Logan happy. I would even give him. the world if I could.

His parents were into me and his friend gave me approval, so I ended up tying the knot with him–we mated under the moonlight, and Crimson Crescent Pack and Moon Shadow Pack served as our witness. However I figured life wasn’t easy at all. We spent years

and years together, but while I was pouring all the love I could give, he only gave me a dust of his.

Then came our wedding night, and he was drunk and finally exploded. He pointed hist finger at me, his eyes bloodshot, “It’s all your fault! You drove Isabel away! You are the reason why she left!”

He clenched his jaw, and glared at me as he added, “I don’t love you one bit. Why’d you rush into marrying me like some desperate bitch? You wrecked my life, you ruined me! Ruined the love I had with Isabel! She should have been my mate right now but you’re

desperate to keep us apart!”

I was stunned, and even now, I had no clue where all of those were coming from. But he took my silence as guilt, grabbed me by the neck, and exclaimed, “It’s all because of you! Isabel told me everything already, so don’t even deny it. You intimidated her and got her all riled up, making her leave Autumnvale!”

After everything I did, I know I had my fair share of mistakes, but everything he claimed that I did had no truth in them. Yet, looking at how angry he was, I knew he would never listen to me. He painted me as a dirty woman in his mind already. “Aurora, you’re just a rebound to me, you heard me? What makes you think you’re so special? Trying to fill my Isabel’s shoes? Desperate bitch.”

Right then, I finally realized why Isabel glanced in my direction while talking with Logan before she left Autumnvale. That woman made up a story about me, and now Logan bought her lies and blamed everything on me.

That night, after lashing out, he passed out soon after, leaving me to stare at the bruises on my neck, feeling utterly powerless. I knew even if I tried to set things straight, he’d never believe me. In his world, only Isabel’s word mattered..
