Hot Night With CEO

A Fact

“After spending time together to ease the longing, Darian drove Fahira back home at 8 p. m. His next task was to meet his mother. Whatever decision his mother would make, Darian was ready, as long as she gave her blessing for him to marry Fahira.

Slowly, Darian’s car entered the grand courtyard of his house. It was the place where he was raised with abundant love from both his parents. Rusdi, his father, was always strict and disciplined in raising Darian, but when it came to showing affection to Yasmin, his mother, Rusdi turned into a romantic and gentle man. Throughout his life, Darian had never seen Rusdi be harsh to Yasmin. The way Rusdi respected women automatically influenced him.All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Now, Darian faced the toughest situation in his life. He wouldn’t choose, but he would make sure to have both Yasmin and Fahira, the two most important women in his life.

Darian sighed before getting out of the car. He was sure his mother was waiting for him now. He was confident in his decision, but he would not sacrifice his mother’s feelings, who had given birth to him. Since he was a child, Darian had looked up to his father as a role model. Rusdi might be strict in educating him, but when he was with Yasmin, he became a romantic and gentle man. This respect for women had been passed down to Darian.

And now Darian was faced with the most difficult situation. He wouldn’t choose, but he would make sure to have both Yasmin and Fahira. These were the two most important women in his life.

Darian entered the magnificent house full of memories and headed to the living room, where Yasmin usually spent time when she had no work at home. Darian hesitated for a moment. His heart trembled as he saw Yasmin’s back behind the sofa. He couldn’t imagine how hurt Yasmin must be. He was aware that his actions this morning had deeply wounded her. Their family must have become the talk of the town in all the media today. And, of course, it would affect the company and his mother’s career.

“Finally, you remember Mommy,” Yasmin said coldly without even looking away from the TV screen that was showing the tragedy Darian had caused this morning.

Darian sighed and approached his mother. He kissed both of Yasmin’s cheeks and sat down beneath the sofa. He held her delicate hands and gazed into the same brown irises that were identical to his.

“Mommy, have you eaten?” Darian asked softly while looking into Yasmin’s swollen eyes. The disappointment in her eyes pierced his heart. It was the first time he had hurt his mother this deeply.”

Darian stood up and walked towards the dining room. He opened the food cover and found it untouched. Still intact. Not touched. Bi Romlah, one of Yasmin’s household assistants, quickly served a plate of food for Darian without saying much. She also prepared the hot milk that Yasmin usually drank. Of course, the household assistant who had been with the Putra family for over 20 years knew that the relationship between the mother and son was not in a good state. Since Rusdi’s passing, their relationship had strained a bit because Darian chose to live in his apartment rather than in the grand family home. Now the house felt empty like a tomb. Only Yasmin lived there alone with her four household assistants. It was no wonder that Yasmin spent more time in her boutique than at home.

“Mommy needs to eat, Darian doesn’t want Mama to get sick!” Darian said as he now sat beside Yasmin.

Yasmin remained silent. She just gazed sadly at Darian, accepting each spoonful from her son’s hand until half the plate was left. Darian took a glass of warm milk from the nearby table and handed it to Yasmin. She sipped it slowly, her eyes teary. Yasmin still hoped that Darian could change his decision.

Darian got up and brought the tray with Yasmin’s half-eaten plate and glass to the kitchen. Then he returned with a basin of warm water and a small towel. He sat back down beneath the sofa, rolled up his shirt sleeves to his elbows, and lifted Yasmin’s feet, removing her sandals. Darian dipped both her feet in the water and began to wash them.

“Since I was little, Mommy has worked hard to give birth to me and raise me well. Thank you is never enough to repay everything. I know Mommy is angry. Mommy is disappointed with me. But Mom, just this once, let me choose,” Darian said as he massaged Yasmin’s feet. She looked at him with teary eyes, and the droplets started to fall, one after another, wetting her cheeks more and more.

“Darian loves Fahira. I can’t live without her, Mom,” Darian continued, lifting his face to look at Yasmin through his teary eyes.

“Since I was little, I never had a choice. Everything was dictated by Papa, and I was always an obedient son. I want to be devoted to Mama and Papa as much as I can. But please, Ma, just this once, I beg you to bless my decision to marry Fahira.” Yasmin remained firm as Darian began to dry her feet with the towel.

“Forgive me, Darian. I can’t do it!” Yasmin said firmly, wiping the tears from her cheeks. At that moment, Darian felt like his world was crumbling upon hearing his mother’s resolute decision.

The tears that had been welling up in his eyes began to flow freely. His soul suddenly felt empty. He wouldn’t be able to hurt Fahira again after the promise he made.

“Give me one reason. Why don’t you like Fahira?” Darian said while wiping his tears roughly.

“But you have to promise me, after you know the reason, you have to leave Fahira immediately!” Yasmin insisted. Darian’s heart raced with curiosity about the truth that would soon be revealed.

Darian nodded hesitantly. He would keep his promise if the reason Yasmin gave was truly genuine and something he could accept. Considering the many mysteries and secrets of Fahira’s life that had not been revealed yet. Darian himself was still waiting for the results of the investigation by David’s trusted people.

“Come with me, Mommy!” Yasmin stood up from the sofa and headed towards the family’s private library, followed by Darian behind her.

Yasmin sat in the chair behind the desk and opened a drawer.

“Here is Mommy’s reason!” Yasmin said as she took out a brown envelope from the drawer and slid it towards Darian, who was sitting in a chair across the table.

Still looking at his mother, Darian reached for the brown envelope. He slowly opened it with his heart racing.

Thud. Darian’s heart suddenly felt like it stopped. His hands trembled as his eyes began to read the contents of the letter, which seemed to tear his heart and pride apart.

“Where did Mommy get this?” Darian asked, his hands trembling as he couldn’t look away from the words that revealed information about Fahira.

“You don’t need to know where Mommy got it. What’s important now is that you know what kind of woman you love. You know Mommy well. Mama never cared about someone’s status. What still puzzles Mama is why daddy told us to protect a woman like Fahira?” Yasmin explained with a sad yet emphatic look.

“Fahira is just a wo-”

“Stop, Mom, that’s enough!” Darian cut off Yasmin’s sentence. He couldn’t bear to hear the woman he loved being demeaned like that. Yasmin’s tears flowed instantly. Her heart was in pain. Her only son, whom she loved dearly, had yelled at her just to defend a woman like Fahira.

“Darian… My child! Because of that woman, you dared to raise your voice at Mommy. Even daddy never raised his voice at Mommy until his last days!” Yasmin’s tears continued to pour.

“Aaaa…” Darian screamed in frustration. He roughly ran his fingers through his hair while looking at Yasmin with regret.

“It’s time for Mommy to know something as well,” Darian said as he turned on the computer and printer on the table. He opened his personal email on the computer and searched for an email sent by David a few months ago.

Soon, the sound of the printer broke the silence. Now Yasmin was curious. Page after page came out of the printer. Darian gathered them and handed them to Yasmin.

“Please read it carefully, Mommy!” Darian commanded with mixed feelings. His mother would surely be disappointed with his actions, but he was sure she would also give her blessing as soon as she knew the truth.

Darian fell silent. His gaze didn’t leave the beautiful face before him, which was now serious while reading page after page. Occasionally, Yasmin covered her mouth with her hand and looked at Darian with an incredulous expression.

“So…?” Yasmin’s lips trembled. She struggled to speak. She was torn between disappointment and disbelief at the reality presented before her.

“Yes, I know. I was wrong and sinful. At first, it was just a joke, Mom. But as time went on, I fell in love with her,” Darian said, looking at Yasmin who was still in shock with the contents of the papers in her hands.

“So, you were the man being served by Fahira at the hotel? And the money was for her sister’s heart surgery?” Yasmin questioned, still finding it hard to believe. Honestly, Yasmin couldn’t believe that a well-mannered and polite woman like Fahira would do such a demeaning job just for money.

“At first, I thought the same as Mommy, but after I found out Fahira’s reasons, I regretted it, and sympathy emerged from within me. Now, I truly love her, and I beg Mommy to approve of our relationship,” Darian honestly confessed, his eyes filled with sorrow as he remembered his despicable actions.

“Wait a minute! Mmmmm, it must be David who blocked your bank account mutation, right?” Yasmin asked again because her trusted person couldn’t trace the account number that transferred money to Fahira’s account.

Darian shrugged and said, “Darian hopes Mommy doesn’t need to bring up this issue again. Darian doesn’t want to see Fahira sad again!” Darian pleaded, looking imploringly at Yasmin.

“Come here!” Yasmin spread her arms and stood up. Darian’s smile instantly brightened as he approached Yasmin. Their brown eyes met silently, conveying the long-suppressed longing between a mother and son, separated for so long by ego.

“I love you, Mom!” Darian whispered in Yasmin’s embrace. Tears welled up in his eyes, accompanied by a happiness that seemed to have disappeared for so long. Everything had changed since the departure of Rusdi, their father, and role model. Now, it was time for Darian to take over Rusdi’s position as the head of the Mahesa Putra family.

“I love you more!” Yasmin replied, tightening her embrace.

“Tonight, don’t you want to stay with Mommy?” Yasmin asked, loosening the hug.

“Of course, starting tonight, I will stay with Mommy again,” Darian replied, hugging his mother once more. Overwhelmed with emotions, Yasmin felt incredibly grateful as her prayers were finally answered. Darian was back in her arms.
