Chapter 21-A thief
"That's not possible! This is my work and I have no reason to steal anyone's work," Lora said, her eyebrows creasing at the accusation that one of the employees made.

"Miss Davis, we thought you're good at designing, so why are you claiming Miss Williams' work is yours? It would be great if you admitted your crime and begged Miss Williams for forgiveness," one of the colleagues said "There's no way Miss Davis would copy someone's work! Do you know who she is? Collins' words.
It's ok. I'll defend my work. This is my sweat and blood. I don't know how it ended up being Miss Williams 'work but I'm not changing my statement. I designed this work," Lora said with an air of confidence.
"Stop trying to act high and mighty! This is Miss Williams' design! See for yourself!" One of the employees, Bella Smith, said.
Bella wanted to get in the good graces of Ivy because she would be the boss's wife, so she took this as an opportunity to prove herself.
'So what if she's the daughter of the Davis family? Everyone knows the Kingsleys are the most powerful family in the country. I'm better off siding with the future lady boss,' she thought in her mind.
She opened her phone and showed Lora the trending news on social media. Sure enough, the jewelry design that Ivy had released was identical to the design Lora had just presented.
However, if one looked closely, one could see that Lora's design was more detailed with additional features.
Lora's eyes widened in shock. "How-"
"Are you still going to deny that you stole her work?" Bella sneered and added. "I didn't expect the daughter of two famous designers to stoop so low and steal someone's work." Bella's remark paved the way for the other employees to mock Lora.
"I heard she wasn't raised with the Davis family. What can a Country bumpkin know about jewelry? She must have stolen the work because she has no flair for design." "No wonder she delayed to release her work. She was waiting to copy from Miss Williams,"
"How despicable! She must be banned from the design industry! It's not fair for us who work hard to create designs and then someone just comes and steals like it's nothing." Bella crossed her arms and glanced at Lora, she said, "What do you have to say for yourself, Miss Davis? You stole someone's work, shouldn't you apologise to Miss Williams?" "I'm not apologising for something I didn't do," Lora said and gasps echoed around the table.

Chapter 21- Athief
"Oh my
God... she's so shameless. How do you confidently steal someone's work and refuse to admit it when the evidence is clear?"
"We can't work with such a person with no ethical morals."
"The Davis family will go bankrupt if they leave their company in her hands."
At the same time, Ivy secretly smirked. Everything went as she planned. Lora was put in a tight spot with no way out. Ryan wouldn't want to continue his partnership with a thief.
So, she had killed two birds with one stone. Lora's reputation would be tainted forever and Ryan would forget about her.
"Miss Davis, did you have difficulties when creating your design? I could have helped you out if you were stuck, you didn't need to copy mine. You know this is a crime in our industry," Ivy remarked.
Lora narrowed her eyes at theter. She was certain the case of them having identical designs had something to do with Ivy.
"How did she steal my work? Lora mused. She always locked her office door whenever she left for lunch and secured her drawings.
"Miss Williams, you and I both know who this design really belongs to," Lora stated calmly.
"Of course, it belongs to me. I even released it first. Miss Davis, anyone can see that you copied my work and added details to make it look different," Ivy said and sighed. "I feel sorry for you. You must have felt pressured to prove yourself to your parents and Ryan but stealing my work wasn't the way to go. If you had asked, I would have helped you with some tips."
Lora scoffed. Bravo! Ivy Williams was a good actress! She would win an Oscar for her acting skills.
"Miss Williams, you're so kind. This woman stole your design and you're still feeling sorry for her. She should be punished for her crime," Bella said.
Ivy had a worried look on her face and looked at Ryan before saying, "Ryan, you won't punish Miss Davis, right? I think she has a good explanation for her actions."
Ryan narrowed his eyes at Lora. When he saw her struggle to defend herself, disappointment crept into him. He hated people who lied and schemed the most.
"Miss Davis, I'm giving you five seconds to explain yourself," Ryan said through gritted teeth.
Lora furrowed her eyebrows. The man had already labelled her a thief in his mind. She forced a smile and replied firmly, "I didn't steal anyone's work."
"Miss Davis, have some shame!" Bella exclaimed.
"What do you mean she should have some shame? If anything, it's Miss Williams who should be ashamed because she stole Miss Davis' work. My boss would never plagiarise, I'm confident in her skills!" Hannah remarked and some of the colleagues from the Davis & Co. company agreed with her.
"There must be something wrong. If Miss Davis didn't have any design skills, the CEO wouldn't have let her take over the company," one of them said.
"She only got that position because she's the owner's daughter not with her own ability," Bella said.
Chapter 21-Athief
Hannah's eyes flashed with anger. She stepped forward and proposed, "I suggest we have a competition to see who really has the ability to create such an exceptional design. The one who loses is the plagiariser." "What? Are you crazy? Why should we hold a competition when it's clear Miss Williams will win?" Bella
asked.
"I'm in," Lora agreed without hesitation. "I can do a hundred competitions to prove that the design is mine."
Silence fell over the place and everyone glanced at Ivy. Although she was angry that things had reached this point, she had no choice but to agree.
"I'm in too," Ivy said begrudgingly.
Since both ladies had agreed, Ryan got to his feet and proclaimed, "Let's hold a meeting after a week to see the best design."
