Chapter 12 Blood Roses
Kelly jumped off the sofa, coquettishly ran over, and grabbed Jamie’s hand. I saw Jamie gently pull away, his face looking unpleasant.
During dinner, Jamie suddenly mentioned buying a house and suggested that Kelly move out. But he wore an uneasy expression, saying that he had just joined a new company and didn’t have that much money.
My mother avoided the topic, and my hopeless romantic sister insisted on it. Reluctantly, my mother handed over the 100, 000 yuan she had just taken from me and gave it all to Kelly.
I watched as the money quickly ended up in Jamie’s hands.
Dinner finished in an awkward atmosphere, and Kelly escorted Jamie downstairs, with no one paying attention to me.
I quietly followed behind them.
Downstairs, Jamie asked Kelly to go back; he will drive me home. But Kelly disagreed, saying I could walk back on my own. She turned around arrogantly and asked, “Right, Ollie, don’t you like taking a stroll alone?”
“Then I’ll accompany her.” Jamie’s voice suddenly rang out in the quiet neighborhood.
He swiftly pulled me into his arms without looking back.
“Listen! I love Olivia!”
Both Kelly and I were stunned. Kelly reacted first, walked over, and delivered a hard slap to my face.
I was protected in Jamie’s embrace, his broad back shielding me from Kelly’s subsequent punches and kicks.
Before I could say anything, I smelled the familiar scent of roses emanating from Jamie.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Jamie grabbed my hand and pulled me to the car parked by the side of the road, and the car sped away, leaving behind a crying Kelly.
