Chapter 46 Threat
Chapter 46 Threat
After saying goodbye to Edward, Abby walked out of the school gate and found a cool place with a
shade of trees to wait for the bus.
At this moment, a black Benz suddenly stopped in front of Abby, making her take two steps back.
The car window was rolled down. A woman with delicate makeup said, "Miss Miller."
It was Richard's stepmother, Daisy Scott!
Why was she here?
Hello, Madame Scott.
Abby greeted her politely.
"Miss Miller, are you free now? I want to talk something with you."
Daisy smiled.
Abby was hesitant. She looked around and found there were no other cars coming.
"Don't you want to give me face?" Daisy said coldly.
"Madame Scott, I have something to do later. You can say it right now."
Abby frowned. If the driver could not pick her up, Richard would be furious.
"Do you think you are polite as a junior?"
Daisy frowned and felt a little angry.
Abby frowned deeply.
She really didn't know how to face Daisy.
She and Richard were not real lovers but dealt with each other.
"I'm sorry, Madame Scott. I really have something to do."
Abby lowered her head and apologized. She was also worried that Daisy found her for nothing good.
"Get in. It won't take you too much time. Or, do you want to talk with me about Richard in public?"
Daisy opened the car door and asked Abby to get in.
Abby finally get in Daisy's car.
Today, Daisy wore a light purple dress, which was very fitting, showing her graceful figure.
She looked noble.
Abby sat beside her and felt uneasy. She knew that as the wife of the head of the Scott Family, Daisy
was not a kind person.
What did she look for her for?
Ten minutes later, the Benz stopped at the gate of a western restaurant.
Daisy walked gracefully in front of her. The waiter greeted her warmly, "Welcome, Madame Scott."
Daisy nodded and smiled.
Abby followed behind her with her schoolbag on her back. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
They sat near the window. Then Daisy said, "What do you want to eat, Miss Miller?"
"It's up to you."
Abby replied casually. She was not in the mood to eat and chat with Daisy. She was thinking how to
explain to Richard later.
The waiter quickly served the meal. Abby ate her meal with an uneasy mood.
She could clearly feel that Daisy was looking at her while eating.
Abby felt bad. She not only needed to stand being badly treated by Richard, but also needed to be
inquired by his family.
"Are you an orphan?"
Daisy asked while wiping her mouth, and then she took a sip of juice.
"Yes."
Abby put down the tableware and nodded.
"I advise that you should break up with Richard. You are an orphan, and you are not suitable to
Richard. The Scott Family won't allow you to marry Richard."
Daisy looked at Abby disdainfully, as if she was looking at a beggar who sneaked into a high-end club.
Abby was stunned. She suddenly thought that whether Daisy would use money to threaten her to break
up with Richard.
It was a TV cliche. A rich family doesn't allow the main female character who is poor and ugly to love
with the main male character, so they arrange someone to threaten the main female character to break
up with the main male character."
Abby was suddenly curious how much money Daisy would pay her.
"So..."
As a result, Daisy did not give Abby money or a check. She just looked at Abby disdainfully and said, "I
hope that you can recognize your identity and leave Richard."
"Madame Scott, does Richard know that you come to find me today? I think you should talk to him
about this matter."
Abby raised her chin and looked calm, as if she didn't care about what Daisy said at all.
"You're sharp-tongued. Don't frighten me.
Daisy couldn't maintain her elegant expression any longer and her moods darkened.
She found that this little girl was not as innocent as she looked. She could not help clenching the
napkin and staring at Abby angrily.
"Miss Miller, to put it bluntly, I came to you today to let you see the reality clearly. It's not as simple as
you think to be the one of the Scott family. I want to remind you that I hope that you can have some
self-awareness and take the initiative to leave Richard. In this way, you can still gain some benefits."
Daisy's face was filled with disdain, and the corners of her mouth curled into a contemptuous smile.
"What if I say no?"
Abby gritted her teeth and asked coldly, imitating Richard's most common expression.
Abby could not decide whether to leave Richard or not!
From Abby's point of view, although Richard was overbearing and scheming, at least he had let go of
the orphanage and she had to keep her promise to follow him.
Abby wanted freedom. However, if she left without permission, Richard would definitely destroy the
orphanage. Abby would never doubt this.
Besides, even if Abby wanted to leave, it was still a big problem whether Richard would agree to let her
go.
Although they hadn't known each other for a long time, Abby knew exactly what Richard looked like.
Richard was evil and cold. He would never accept rejection. Before he gave up on her, she would
never give up on him.
Unless Richard agreed to the marriage arranged by his family, Abby would not have to be entangled
with him. If Richard did not agree, she would have to accompany him to the end of her life.
"Don't you agree? It's not up to you."
Hearing her words, Daisy's moods darkened.
Daisy picked up her handbag, took out a stack of photos, and threw them in front of Abby.
"Let's see what this is. If Richard knows that you have a secret meeting with another man, guess what
his reaction will be and what your ending will be?"
Daisy sneered and looked at Abby smugly.
Abby picked up the photo in front of her in confusion. Five seconds later, her expression changed.
It was a photo of her and Edward together. They smiled at each other. No matter who looked at the
photo, they would feel that this couple was definitely not just friends.
"Isn't this the photo that caused a sensation this morning?"
"What do you mean?"
Abby frowned and glared at Daisy.
"Miss Miller, why are you so angry? You have a secret meeting with Edward. I didn't force you to go.
What else do you have to say?"
Daisy had the initiative, and the expression on her face was much better. She looked at Abby with a
smile, and she was full of sarcasm.
"What a pity! People can see at a glance that you have a deep relationship with Edward. I know
Richard very well. He hates betrayal best."
Daisy was calm and elegant.
"You are really despicable."
Abby bit her lower lip and stared at the beautiful woman opposite her.
Sure enough, Daisy was worthy of being the wife of a rich and powerful family. She was really cruel.
"Today's photos are just a small warning. Miss Miller is a smart person. You should know what to do
next."
Daisy picked up her handbag, stood up with a smile, and left slowly.
After sitting in the seat for a long time, Abby slowly stood up and walked out of the western
restaurant.
