Chapter twenty three
"Marie Claire?"
"Your my roomie?" She points at me with disgust.
"Oh so you two already know each other. That's perfect! I'll let you guys get settle in. Carol and I will be in the living room if you need anything."
Jill closed the door leaving both of us alone. There's no way I'm going to live with her in the one week.
"I have some rules to set. One don't ever bother me. Two don't ever talk to me unless if necessary. I mean don't talk to me unless we are around the adults. Three don't stare at me, and four, respect my things."
Great.
This will be a lot of fun with this bitch around.
-
I finally finish setting up my section of the room. Apparently, she gets the bed and I get the mattress, which is fine by me. The thing is is she didn't even ask me what I want. She took the bed with no hesitation.
It's around midnight and I can't seem to sleep. Marie is sleeping with her purple sleep mask on, sleeping soundlessly. I tossed and turned still can't find the right spot.
Since I'm wide awake, I grabbed my phone, went into emails and email Ramose.
Hey I know it's late at night but please HELP ME!
I laid back hoping he'll respond. I'm so bored and wide awake. I've got nothing else to do.
Refreshing it, a fresh email came from him! I smiled a little one. It's so little that if you blink you'll miss it.
Whatcha need?
For one thing I'm up and bored, I can't fall asleep. Second, so I'm at my mom's for the first part of the break and she's got a roomie. So of course her cousin will be coming along and guess who it is?
Have fun at your moms and who?
Marie Claire.
The Marie Clair? As in the bitch at school?
Ding, ding, ding! You earn five hundred points!
I bit my bottoms lip to stifle a laugh that's building up.
Damn! Good luck to you. What did she do?
Okay so there's a bed and a mattress. Guess who has the bed and mattress, is your thinking me you are colorectal again. I don't mind it really as long as I'm on something comfy. She decides to take the bed without asking me what I want, then she sets these stupid rules!
I rant to Ramose.
Well that's the bitch we know. So I'm not surprised.
Yeah. Anyways, how are you feeling?
I'm better. I'm starting to drink little sips of blood at a time. Once the break is over, I'll be going back to school and have everyone be scared of me again, which is quite entertaining and amusing.
Huh, to you I bet it does.
Yep.
My eyes stared getting droopy.
Hey thanks for the entertainment. I'm getting tired and pray this will end well.
Goodnight and I do. I have so many prayers.
I turned off my phone and fall right asleep. Which is past one in the morning.
-
I woke up to a smell of bacon and eggs. I pry my eyes open forcefully. It took me a while as I stretched out and yawned. Slowly getting up, I took my brush, tooth brush and paste with me to the bathroom.
After doing my business, I came into the main room where they're eating at the table.
"Morning Sarah," my mom welcomed.
"Morning."
I sat next to my mom. "There's some for you on the stove," Jill offered.
"Thanks."
I grabbed a plate off the counter and dishes myself some breakfast.
"So what's the plan today?" Marie asks.
God I can't stand her. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
"Oh yeah. So we are planning to go ice skating today at the rink," mom said.
Yes! I love skating.
"Awesome, I reply.
Just hope Marie won't ruin it. I glance over at her and her face looks disappointed but she acted happy. She always says she's better at everything than everyone. So this will definitely beat her.
I'm excellent at skating that I've entered figure skating a few years ago. My outstanding performance got me to the finals one year. During the performance, I fell badly and rolled my ankle.
Since then, I haven't been able to figure skate. Only a few times after I've skated but haven't in a while.
"Sarah loves skating. She used to compete until she hurt her foot."
"Aww, that's too bad," Jill said, almost pouting.
"It is but I've skated a few times afterwards, but because of school and such, I haven't skated in a while."
"Well, here's your chance."
Once we cleaned up our dishes, we got ready to go and left. We got in Jill's car. Mom and her sat in the front while we girls sat in the back. The traffic is very busy.
It took almost two hours to get to the rink. While in the car waiting for the traffic to go, Marie and I sat in silence. We wouldn't dare speed a word to each other, let alone glance each other's ways.
The adults are chatting away in the front as they wouldn't acknowledge us. In the meanwhile, I texted on our group chat of the terror of how I'm with Marie. They all pray for me as well, which I appreciate.
When we got there, we went to the rental stand. The adults paid for themselves and each of us. We took our skates and went to the bench that we claim.
Setting our things down, I put the skates on ready to skate after a few years of a break. It took a bit for the three to get their skates on.
"Alright, let's get skating!" Jill excitingly said.
We carefully walked to the rink stepping on. A lot of them circled around counter-clockwise. I started going with the flow as it came naturally for me. I glance around to see parents holding their children's hands, couples holding while skating together, and the rest just doing their own thing. Glancing behind me, the three are slowly catching up.
"You go on ahead darling." I nod as I pass a couple people. This felt relaxing. My thoughts being pushed away and it's just me and my blank mind.
I smiled to myself as I glide with freedom. They're at the first corner when I'm almost done my first lap.
