Chapter 126 en
Talk To Mr. Kim.
Mr. Kim was still in his room. the maid had just delivered a glass of water and a healthy snack for him. but he just shut up and refused anything when the maid offered to help. The man only hinted that the maid immediately left the room.
Freddy was alone in his room. He turned on the television. It’s the only video stored there. The one he always turned to when he missed his son. Darren Kim.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
The television screen exposed Elsa’s six-year birthday party. It was the last time he was with his only son the day before his son died. Not only featuring Darren and Marisa, there were also Elsa, Daniel, and David when they were little.
Both senses of sight of Fredy Kim continued to look at the television screen. his three grandkids left this morning away from the palace he had prepared to live with in his old age.
Many employees still lived there, there were few hostesses. There was one of his confidants and another subordinate.
The middle-aged man began to ponder what was happening at this moment. His relationship with his three grandchildrens, which seemed to be getting worse since Samuel Ricardo death one month ago.
” I did everything for you, and for your parents, but you still left me, ” he murmured with a flat expression. “But look what you guys are doing. You even left me, united and just left this house. Would you be satisfied if you came home and I was gone!” he murmured as he watched a television screen showing his three grandchildrens.
There was a knock on the door that disturbed him. Mr. Kim immediately pressed the remote to turn off the TV. He didn’t want anyone to know if he’d seen the video. Even his right hand.
“Come in.” The owner of the Kim Foundation and the Kim Corporation, pretended to take his glass of water. He lowered his head to hide his expression. No, he was not the one who would inflict his grief on others.
A man named Joe, who was his guard, entered the room.
“Sir, someone is coming”” Joe said, deliberately did not tell, uninvited guests who were currently waiting for Mr. Kim in the living room.
“Who?”
The man took a sip of water from his glass until it ran out of nothing left. Then he turned to Joe. Hopefully, soon he would get the answer who would have come so early. Yeah, it’s less than ten. he didn’t usually get guests at times like this.
Not that Joe was silent, he refused to speak.
“Is Daniel coming?” He really hoped that was his first grandson, as well as his successor, would come and apologize for what he did this morning.
“Not Sir.” Joe was even very afraid to say his name in front of old Kim.
“David or my granddaughter who came?’ Mr. Kim really asked, hoping that Elsa would come. If Elsa had come, David and Daniel would have came with her.
“Lexi Ricardo, is in the living room and would love to meet you, sir.” Joe, who has an age not much different from Freddy Kim, iwas forced to mention the name of young Ricardo who was very hated by him
“Tell him I don’t want to see him.” Freddy Kim thoughtlessly did not want to see the young man. the culprit of all the problems that currently happened to him and his three grandchildren.
Silence.
Joe, who knew very well how Lexi and Jessica fight, also very understanding of Freddy Kim’s attitude and behavior, sighed. It seemed that this time he had to intervene from having to persuade his boss.
“Sir,” Joe whispered. he didn’t leave his boss’s room. He stood there, staring at Freddy. A sharp look was an outlet for his annoyance at the Boss. ” Eddy, ” Joe called out Mr. Kim’s diminutive name.
The call made Freddy Kim gasp. He turned his face to the man who was standing next to him.
“I am not speaking as your subordinate. This time I want to speak as your best friend,” Joe said in a distinctive low, deep voice. That’s what he did a long time ago, when Freddy Kim was angry, showing his ego.
Mr. Kim did not respond. He turned his face the other way. Joe’s serious face and always respect him, making him helpless.
“What in the world is most precious to you?” the man asked.
“Why do you ask like that, you already know what is most important to me.” Freddy Kim quietly answered the question.
“Do you choose the business octopus who has been giving away dollar coffers, or do you choose the happiness of your grandchildren?” his insistenced.
Old Kim was silent.
“I don’t have as much money as you. I also only have one grandchild. He has away from me Arene work in the Netherlands. Sometimes I envy you. Not because of the envy of the money and position you have, but because I never had much time to spend with my grandchildren.” Joe paused for a moment before continuing.
Freddy Kim waited for what Joe would say next.
“But right now I don’t envy you anymore. Although the time I spend with my grandson is only for a short time and maybe only a few days a year, at least, my grandson and I always spend time smiling because we are happy. I don’t judge your life unhappy, because everyone has different priorities. But, if I were in your place right now, I would go and see that young man, if you look closely, he’s innocent!” Joe told. This was a subtle imposition. “We are both middle-aged, we do not know the rest of our age. It could be a year, a month, or a day. Trust me, forgiving doesn’t make you lose. Forgiving will erode the distance between you and your granddaughter.”
Without waiting for a response from Freddy Kim, the man simply left. Before opening the door, he looked away for a moment. “I’m going to tell that young Ricardo to get out of here immediately!” he said.
“Wait, I’ll see him.” Freddy Kim said it out loud.
Joe held back a smile. he opened the door. “Good old man, I’ll tell that young man to wait on the rooftop.”

Lexi sat in the living room of the Kim family’s penthouse. A maid gave him a cold drink.
Lexi waited a long time. He became worried and agitated. The last time he went to this house, he didn’t even get to meet Freddy Kim. It could be said that Lexi had never spoken directly to the middle-aged man. However, Lexi had met him at several entrepreneur events.
Lexi took turns looking at the wall clock and the watch on his wrist. Not at all hasten his meeting with Freddy Kim. he didn’t feel like he had waited for fifteen minutes, but Mr. Kim hadn’t come out of his throne yet.
At the sound of the door opening, Lexi’s heart beat very fast. He lowered his head and refrained from looking at the source of the sound.
“Young man, sorry to keep you waiting so long. Let’s wait for Mr. Kim upstairs.” Joe walked up the stairs and signaled for Lexi to follow in his footsteps.
