Contract Marriage With The Disabled CEO By Woody Rain Chapter 71

Chapter 71

Chapter 71’Are You Testing My Willpower?

“No!”

Betty screamed and pushed Kerwin away.

Surprised by her violent resistance, Kerwin stomped several steps back.

He raised his head, only to see a hint of fear on her flushed face and in her limpid eyes.

In no time, his fervency was dampened, and his body cooled down.

Betty realized her rashness, flashed a guilty look, and approached Kerwin in a gingerly way. “I’m sorry…

I had a flashback… to two years ago…”

What happened back then was Betty’s worst nightmare.

Her most precious thing was lost that night, and her reputation was tarnished.

For a long time, she couldn’t get close to any man. Even shaking hands would upset her.

She had licked her wounds and thought that she could open her heart to Kerwin.

When it came to the critical moment, however, instinct drove her to resist him!

Her guilt was beyond words as she saw Kerwin’s eyes turning cold again.

Probably, in Kerwin’s mind, she was playing hard-to-get. They were married, and she had agreed. At the last second, however, she shut hirn down.

No man can stand this kind of rejection.

At that, she gritted her teeth and ventured to lean over. She threw her arms around his neck and kissed him, trying to rekindle his passion.

Kerwin scooped her up and put her on the bed.

Thinking that he was going to resume the intimacy, Betty braced herself to get ready. She didn’t want to push Kerwin away again.

She waited for a long time, but Kerwin didn’t

x make further moves. He just picked up the

blanket and covered her with it.

Betty asked in shock; “Are you mad?”

Kerwin sat down on the edge of the bed, looked down at Betty with calm eyes, and replied, “No.”

“Then why wouldn’t you…”

“Continue?” Kerwin whispered, brushing Betty’s cheek with his slender fingers. “Because I hope you’ll enjoy it rather than endure it for the sake of me.”

He had reactions to Betty’s body. He couldn’t deny it. In fact, his reactions were strong.

He didn’t continue because he really cared about Betty. After all, it felt awful for a man to retain his lust like that.

He cared about Betty’s feelings.

He didn’t want their first try to become a terrible experience for her.

If he did that, what was the difference

between the man from two years ago and

him?

Betty hadn’t expected such a remark from Kerwin. For a moment, a certain spot of her heart was touched.

Men were different from women. lora woman, she was willing to sacrifice everything for her beloved man. Aman would endure this only when he truly cared about his woman. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

Her eyes twinkled as she curled up under the soft blanket. Her taut nerves relaxed. “Thank

you.”

Kerwin chuckled, stood up, walked to the table, and sat down in the chair. “You’ll sleep on the bed tonight.”

Belly was stunned. “What about you? Are you going to stay up?”

“I’m fine. The bed is too small, and there is only one blanket.”

Betty frowned and said, “Although the bed is

hall, we can squeeze up. Come and sleep

with me.”

Kerwin looked at her. The expression in his eyes was inexplicable. “Betty, are you challenging my willpower?”

Betty stiffened at his question.

She had almost forgotten about it. Kerwin was titillated but failed to get to the third base. Probably, he was suffering now, and she invited him to sleep with her.

Sure enough, she was unobservant.

Betty didn’t dare to say another word. Instead, she wrapped herself up in the blanket and lay flat.

In the study, Bruce was pacing back and

forth.

As soon as Peter returned, he hurried over and asked, “How is it? Has anything

Both of them are in the room, but I’ve no idea of the situation.” Peter was being honest. There was no way he dared to cavesdrop on Kerwin.

Old Bruce nodded and sighed. “I just hope that I’ll soon have a great-grandson. Then I can rest my mind at case.”

“Sir, don’t worry too much,” Peter said in a

prim tone.

“Right.” Old Bruce’s face fell as something crossed his mind. “about the photos today, have you figured out anything?”

Those indecent photos were displayed on such a grand occasion. Whether the other party aimed to humiliate the Martin family or Betty, it was unbearable.

Peter nodded and replied, “Yeah, it was Jeffrey’s fiancée, Emily.”

Not surprised, Old Bruce sneered, “I knew it. That girl is vicious.”

Keeping a poker face, Peter said, “The cause

with trace back to Miss White’s and Jeffrey’s

school days.”

Old Bruce nodded and sighed. “The nephew and uncle fall in love with the same woman. What a disaster!”

“Miss White is now the only woman Kerwin cares for, so you’ll support them no matter what.” As Old Bruce’s confidant, Peter knew his thoughts.

“Indeed.” The tired old man rubbed his brows. “Tell Jeffrey about what happened.”

“Won’t you handle it in person?”

“Humph, a callow girl is not worth my attention.” Old Bruce sneered. “If Jeffrey can’t even keep his woman in check, he is not worthy to be a Martin!”

“Got it.” Peter left the study and went on his mission.

Old Bruce walked to the bed and looked at the moon outside. The smile Kerwin gave when he held. Betty to dance resurfaced in Bruce’s

Wald. His wrinkled face softened.

So many years had passed… Since he last saw Kerwin smile like that. 3.

God must pity Kerwin as a woman was sent

over to cheer him up.

Old Bruce just hoped that their love would soon bear fruit.

While Bruce was restless with anxiety, the atmosphere in the room upstairs had cooled down.

Kerwin rested his head on his hand and sat

there in repose with his eyes closed.

It was late at night, but Betty lost sleep. After a while, she broke the silence. “Kerwin, I can’t sleep. Talk with me.”

Without opening his eyes, Kerwin asked in a bland tone, “About what?”

“Well…” Betty thought for a while and said, “How does your grandpa know… that we haven’t consummated our marriage?”
