Contract Marriage with My CEO Boss (Kylan and Katrina)

Chapter 110

Katrina held the little reins on Clarence's backpack as she walked, then stopped and picked up a flower. She held it up to Katrina. "Eh, Mama."

Katrina smiled. "It's very pretty."

She looked at it. "Priddy."

Katrina giggled. "Yeah, pretty. You ready to go see Daddy?"

She held up the flower with a large smile on her face. "Dada!"

Katrina laughed. "Katrina going to give that to Daddy? I'm sure he'll love it." Katrina walked with her to the building Kylan was in, Katrina noticed Kylan was outside the front talking to Isabella. Her heart fluttered at seeing Kylan, then it sank when Isabella was laughing and giggling at Kylan, then touching his shirt and tie in a flirtatious manner. He did nothing to stop her, in fact, he ruffled her hair and gave her a little smile.

Clarence looked up at Katrina. "Mama?"

Katrina smiled down at her daughter and then picked her up. "Come on, Clarence, it's going to be a mummy and Clarence day today."

Katrina knew Kylan would never cheat on her, but it didn't mean it didn't hurt seeing him being so affectionate with another woman. She carried Clarence to the park just beside the company and then sat her in the sand pit. Katrina sat next to her on the edge before giving her things to use to play in the sand. Katrina smiled as she played while she helped her daughter with a few things. Her phone went off, so Katrina pulled it out and saw Kylan's name. Katrina held Clarence's foot to make sure she didn't go, or no one took her. "Yeah?" Kylan hummed. "Hey, beautiful, her voice always soothes me."

"What's up?"

Kylan frowned at her tone, then walked away from Isabella. "Everything okay?"

Katrina looked at Clarence and smiled as she showed her mother something. "I'm fine."

He sighed and leaned against a wall. "Those two deadly words."

"Kylan, I'm in the middle of something with Clarence, so make it quick because I don't like using my phone when I'm with her."

"I thought we were going to meet up?"

Katrina shrugged and handed Clarence a little spade. "I went to meet you, but you seemed busy, so me and Clarence went to the park without you."

Kylan waved to Isabella, then ran out of the building. "Tch, sh*t. I'm so sorry, I'm letting work take over again."

Katrina looked up at the sky then down and sighed. "No, I'm sorry for being snappy. I guess I just... I don't know... I want a fun happy day together. I'm being a really bad wife."

He skidded, then ran into the park and saw Katrina sitting on the floor with Clarence. He ended the call and walked up to them. "No, you're not a bad wife at all."

Katrina looked up at him and smiled. "You ran here?"

He took his blazer off and necktie, then sat down in front of Katrina and Clarence. "Of course, you're my wife and daughter. I love you both so much. Isabella said there was extra work to be done, she's really working me hard and keeping me on top of things." Clarence dropped her spade when she realized Kylan was there. "Dada!"

Kylan smirked. "Hey, sweetie."

Clarence handed him the flower she found. "Priddy."

He took it from his daughter and laughed lightly. "It's very pretty." He looked at Katrina. "She's learned that word from me saying it about you all the time."

Katrina cupped Kylan's neck, then kissed him. "I love you and I'm sorry again for running off."

"I can't imagine standing around as I do business. It's no fun." He handed Clarence some of his tools. "Besides, this little girl has a castle to make, I can't disrupt that."

Katrina opened her bag. "We need to clean her hands, it's snack time."

Kylan took the wipes from Katrina and then cleaned Clarence's hands. "There, all clean. So, what's on the menu today?"

"She has a banana and a yogurt she'll need help with it and a box of juice."

"Lucky girl." Kylan helped feed Clarence, then glanced at Katrina. "So, I've been thinking."

"Dangerous, but go on."

"Well." He cleaned Clarence's face of yogurt. "How about we go to the beach, so Clarence here can make more sand castles?"

Katrina smiled and ruffled Clarence's hair. "I think she'll like that, but she loves flowers the most."

Kylan inhaled through his nose as he leaned back and squinted at Clarence. "What about one of those flower gardens?" Katrina laughed. "Sure."

"Kylan?" Katrina Isabella running over. "Kylan, I'm sorry to interrupt but you still have work to do." She gasped at Clarence. "She's so cute." She crouched down.

Clarence stared at Isabella before she started crying a little. "Mama?"

Katrina picked her up and hugged her. "Shh, Clarence, it's okay. Isabella is a nice lady."

Clarence's face crumpled, and she wailed louder.

Katrina stood, bouncing her daughter gently. "She must be tired. She's not usually this shy," Katrina said with a polite smile.

Isabella clenched her jaw. "That's okay. I'm sure she'll warm up to me over time."

Katrina laughed. "Yeah, she probably will. She's like her dad, cautious of everyone at first."

Kylan smiled and ruffled Clarence's hair. "She is, isn't she?" He sighed as he looked at Isabella. "Am I really needed that badly?"

She nodded. "I'm afraid so, Kylan."Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

Katrina looked to Kylan, then Isabella. "Kylan?"

She blushed. "I mean, Sir. Sorry." She giggled. "Well, shall we get going?"

Kylan looked at Katrina. "I'm sorry."

Katrina shook her head. "It's fine, you have work to do."

Kylan looked at Clarence clinging to Katrina, then at Katrina, and finally at Isabella. "You know what? Cancel my plans from now and the rest of the day."

Her eyes widened. Deep inside, she was pissed off that Katrina managed to make Kylan run for her already. But now she had won yet again. "But, Kylan, if you cancel these plans it means more work later on. This is important." Kylan rose, his expression hardening. "Ms. Stone, I appreciate your diligence, but I won't be coming back to the office today."

Isabella blinked, taken aback. "But these meetings are important. Rescheduling will cause delays, and you know how Mr. Reynolds is about this particular project-"

Kylan cut her off, his voice cold and

authoritative as he narrowed his eyes at Isabella. "Ms. Stone.

Reynolds and I have been partners for many years. And Katrina had

We

were partners, to begin with. My wife and daughter come first, and Reynolds will understand+can

handle work from home; emails and tasks can wait. Learn to understand boundaries, Ms. Stone. Family is not up for compromise."

His voice was sharp and his tone was cold. It was as if the old Kylan was back.

Isabella froze, her smile faltering as she searched for a way to salvage the situation. "Of course, Sir. I only meant to—"

"That's enough," Kylan said, his tone sharp.

Katrina looked from Isabella to her husband. "Kylan."

He got up and gathered up Clarence's things. "Let's go feed the ducks, right, Clarence?"

Clarence clapped his hands. "Yay!"

"You heard my little girl."

Katrina stood up and sighed. "Alright, if it's okay. I mean I don't want to get you into trouble."

Isabella tried her very best to keep calm as she took a deep breath and spoke in her calmest tone. "I'll inform Mr. Reynolds about your decision."

Kylan nodded. "Good." He turned to Katrina and kissed her forehead before he pulled her along. "I'm turning my work phone off, Miss Stone, so I'll see you tomorrow at work."

Katrina put Clarence down, then held her little hand while Kylan held the other. "Let's go, Clarence!"

The two parents swung their daughter in the air making her squeal in delight.

Isabella stood there and watched. She stomped her foot as she seethed. She hated Katrina now more than ever. Katrina was manipulating Kylan and ripping him away from her. Isabella had more work to do in order to get rid of Katrina and be with Kylan,
