Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 984

Sebastian even almost killed himself!

"You must have been traumatized by what happened, Aurora, Theodore said.

"I thought he destroyed all the surveillance cameras here. To think that there's more..." Aurora said.

"There's a pinhole camera installed here as another string to the bow, to prevent crooks from destroying the surveillance cameras. It came in handy this time."

"Yes!" Aurora nodded and smiled. "What are you going to do with the footage?"

"I'm going to hand it over to the police. This is a serious crime, and he'll be sentenced to at least ten years imprisonment."

"That's going too easy on him," Aurora said. "He wanted to kill us at that time. If you hadn't been quick-witted and turned the tables on him, he would have killed us both. He is a wicked man, through and through."

"Aurora," Theodore said as he wrapped an arm around her waist. "No matter what, we're both alive and well now. Sebastian will pay the price for his actions. I'll find the best lawyer and sue him. This crime deserves at least ten years imprisonment. In the best case scenario, he gets a lifelong term. We'll let him rot in jail in Melrine."

"Yeah," Aurora said happily as she nodded. "Theo, that's exactly what we'll do."

She burrowed into his embrace and hugged him tight.

"Theo, I can't stand anyone who hurts you. When are you going to hand the footage over to the police?"

"After I send you to the hospital for a check-up, I'll go to the police."

"Theo, we can go to the police first before you accompany me to the hospital."

"Aurora, when I give this footage to the police, I'd probably need to cooperate with them on their investigations. It would take a lot of time. If you go for the hospital visit first, you'll probably be done before the morning is over. We'll then give this to the police in the afternoon. That gives us more time to assist them with their investigations. You'll have to serve as a witness and provide them with your statement, too."

Aurora nodded. "You're right. I forgot about that."

"It's fine," Theodore said as he held her in his arms. "Aurora, go back to sleep."

"What about you?"

"I'll stay here a while longer. Go back to sleep.

He didn't feel sleepy at all.

"Alright then," Aurora said as she stood up. "I won't bother you. But Theo, promise me one thing." "What is it?"

"Don't drink. I'm worried about your stomach. The last time you did, you drank yourself to the hospital."

Each time Theodore drank, it was a torture to his stomach. Her heart would break seeing him not treasure his life like that.

"I won't drink," Theodore assured with a smile. "Don't worry,"

"Really? Swear that you won't drink, Theo."

"I really won't. I just drank a little before. It won't do any harm."

"You're lying to me! I could smell alcohol when you came back. You didn't drink just a little. Theo, did you forget how you had to go to the hospital the last time?"Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Aurora didn't want to bring it up either as she was worried that Theodore might find her annoying. But if she didn't remind him about it, she couldn't bear to see him torment his own body like this.

Theodore closed his laptop and sighed. "Aurora, I won't torture my own body again. How about this? I promise you that I'll do a check-up as well when I take you to the hospital tomorrow."

Aurora nodded. "Sure, Theo. I'll go back to sleep. You should rest early too. Don't stay up too late.'

"Okay," Theodore said as he shot her a smile. "Go back to sleep."

Aurora left, her gaze still lingering on Theodore as she walked away.

She turned back to look at him every few steps until she reached the second floor.

Theodore put his laptop on the table and leaned weakly on the couch, rubbing his nose bridge. Fatigue filled his eyes.
