Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 967

Chapter 967

She quickly looked down at her body, and noticed that she was fully dressed. Her clothes were neat and tidy. Theodore was also fully clothed. "Last night... What happened last night?" she asked.

"You fainted, so I carried you here to rest. You were in a deep sleep," Theodore explained, concerned that she might be scared.

Rosalie looked at her clean clothes, and asked, "Did you change my clothes?"

Theodore silently looked at her, thinking about how close he had come to doing something disgusting to her the night before. He felt regret and guilt. He didn't even dare to meet her gaze.

Looking away, he said, "I had a female nurse change your clothes."

Rosalie let out a sigh of relief. It seemed like it was just her imagination; she had felt someone kissing her from head to toe. Maybe it was just a dream.

"Were you with me all night?" Rosalie asked.

"Yes," Theodore responded softly. "I stayed here because I was worried about you."

Rosalie found it odd and was about to ask another question, but then she remembered something more important. "Right! How is Vincent? Is he okay?"From NôvelDrama.Org.

"He's been stabilized and is now in the ICU," Theodore replied.

Rosalie let out a long breath of relief. "I need to go see him."

She threw off the covers and got down from the bed.

As she reached the door, Theodore followed her. "Rose." He grabbed her arm.

Rosalie turned around. "What is it?"

"You can't go see him right now," he said.

"I can stand outside and look at him." After saying that, Rosalie pulled away from Theodore's grip and left the ward.

When Rosalie arrived at the ICU, she couldn't go inside. She could only stand outside and look at him through the glass.

Justin was lying in bed, connected to many machines. The heart monitor was beeping rhythmically.

Her hands were pressed against the glass as she sighed softly.

"I'm so sorry. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been hurt so badly. You must get better. I still owe you 10 thousand. Don't forget." Upon hearing Rosalie talking to herself, Theodore stepped forward and asked, "What do you mean you owe him 10 thousand?"

"He saved me, so I promised to pay him as a reward."

Theodore furrowed his brows. "So, you two have a transactional relationship? He only wants 10 thousand dollars?"

He felt the price was too low. It couldn't possibly be what Vincent had asked for; it didn't seem right.

Rosalie explained, "10 thousand

dollars and a week of my company. But after just three days, he was planning to let me go. I should have been able to leave safely this morning, but last night, you alt barged in and hurt him and things

ended up this way."

Panic crept onto Theodore's face. He grabbed Rosalie's arm and turned her around, then held her shoulders.

"He wanted you to stay with him for a week?" He gave her a once-over. "What did he do to you? Did he...violate you?"

Rosalie pushed him away. "It's not what you think."

"What do you mean? He had you stay with him for a week! No wonder I couldn't reach you. He didn't let you

contact anyone! He held you captive! Rose, why are you still protecting him?"

Was Rose ill? Was it Stockholm Syndrome? Had she developed feelings for the person who harmed her?

"Theo, can you listen to me first? I

said it's not what you think. Why do you always think the worst? Can't you just let me explain?" Rosalie snapped.
