Chasing My Ex-wife Back

Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Cole and Hailey involuntarily pulled away from the kiss when the door flung open. The duo turned their gaTE towards the entrance and came face to face with Debbie who rushed towards Hailey’s side. Cole stepped aside so

the two best friends could reunite.

“Oh, my God, I was so scared.” Debbie tried to hold back tears as she pulled Hailey into a gentle, warm, and long bus

Hailey started crying and Debbie couldn’t hold back her tears too.

Cole massaged his temple, trying to calm himself as he watched the two best friends from the corner of the room.

Debbie decided to get a hold of herself. She pulled away from the hug, brought her hand to Hailey’s face, and wiped her tears away with her thumb. Then she sat beside Hailes, intertwining her hands with hers.

“How do you feel? The baby?” She took a glance at Hailey’s belly.

Hailey sniffled. “Your godbaby is fine. I’m just too. Just mild headaches and body pains but the doctor said I will be fine.”

“I’m glad to hear that. I was so scared. This reminded me of the first time I met you.”

“I was scared too. But just like her twin brothers. This baby is a warrior too.”

“I feel so relieved. I almost went insane over the phone hearing Connie confess to all the evil she’s done.”

“I’m not one to blame people but this is all my dad’s fault. He ruined us all. The child he fought for and always treated better than me isn’t even his daughter. I honestly do not care that he didn’t treat me right. I just feel so sorry that my mom ended up with someone like him. She was okay with her family disowning her just so she could be with the man she loves but look what happened?”

“It’s okay, babe. Please don’t cry. I know it is almost impossible not to feel the pain but I don’t want you to dwell in it. No matter how much we regret the past, There is nothing we can do to change it.”

“You just survived this. We don’t want anything that will cause your health to deteriorate. Please be strong.” Debbie said with pleading eyes.

Hailey nodded reluctantly, sniffling.

“We are gonna get justice for your mom.”

“Definitely!” Cole’s voice came through. He tucked his phone in his pocket and approached both ladies by the bedside.

out of jail. If I had my way, I would prefer she dies a slow and painful death.”

“Vanessa must be so traumatized. Imagine being born and ruined from birth. She never even got to know her real father Debbie mumbled.

“It’s true that Connie had a great influence on Vanessa but that doesn’t change the fact that Vanessa is evil. Her evil behaviors could be understandable when she was a kid or teenager. But she continued even after she became an adult. She could tell her left from her right. Yes, she had a terrible background but she also enjoyed hurting people.”

“I wouldn’t pity her for not knowing her biological Dad cos even if she knew, I’m sure she would want nothing to do with him. She loved the expensive lifestyle Eric Summers spoiled her with.” Hailey explained.

“You’re right. I feel so sad for her bio dad. It’s possible he had no idea about the pregnancy or Connie got rid of him.” Debbie said.

“It just freaks me out how evil people can be. I can’t wait for them both to be sentenced. I also didn’t buy Vanessa’s story. She didn’t have to lose a child before coming to her right senses to realize all of her evil actions. She almost killed Hailey in the past, remember? I really can’t wait for her and Connie to be sentenced.” Cole said.

Hailey heaved a deep sigh, resting her back well on the bed,

“Are you Okay? Do you want something to drink?” Debbie asked.

“I’m fine. My head just feels so heavy.”

“Sorry. We should probably stop talking about them. You’ve got nothing to worry about now. Justice will be seen to be done.” She gave Hailey’s hand a light squeeze,

Hailey nodded slowly. “Ollie and Enzo. How are they?”

“My mom is home with them.”

“They must feel so disappointed in me again. I already told them we would be meeting up with Grandpa for dinner tonight. They were excited.” Cole said with a sad voice.

“They might but they would be over it. This was something beyond our control.” Hailey said.

“I also don’t want them to see me with this band–aid on my head. Well, except I’ve got valid explanations to give

them.”

“It’s fine. They can stay over at my place until you are better. Myself and my mom will look after them.”

yale um elite at the part, it’s beging to feel like my demands are too much for you. You literally have to pause your life to help me every time with the kids. Once this is settled, we will contact the nanny agency again.*

Zebbie shook her head “Don’t be silly. You of all people know how much I love kids. Plus my job is really flexible so it’s no big deal Don’t ever think you are a burden to me. I just want you to focus on getting better. I will give the kids a treat tonight so they won’t feel sad that they are meant to be at their Granddad’s place.”

“How will I ever repay you for your kindness?”

“Just get better first and we will talk about that later.”

“Thank you!”

“You’ve got nothing to Thank me for. I’m glad Cole was able to get to you on time. I don’t want to imagine what would have happened. Connie is so insane coming to meet you.”

*She wanted me to withdraw the case so she could successfully escape from the country. She was in disguise so the security couldn’t recognize her. And she locked my receptionist in the bathroom. That’s how she got access to my office.”

“I understand. Please don’t ever feel you are alone. Your mom is watching over you and you’ve got God on your side. That Witch has tried to eliminate you since you were little but see you standing strong with your answered prayers.”

Hailey started to get teary again. “You always know what to say to me.”

Debbie shrugged. “That’s because I always tell the truth. You should use all of these experiences as a source of motivation. You’ve got your beautiful family and so much more to look forward to.”

Debbie smiled, “We have your wedding to plan, your baby shower. You are going to spend the rest of your lives with a handsome man like him.” Debbie gestured towards Cole.

Hailey and Cole smiled shyly.

“Yeah, that’s the look I wanna see on your face from now on.”

A knock came through on the door. Cole reached for it. He spoke to the person on the other side, for a while, then approached Hailey but her bedside.

“A police officer wants to take your statement. If he’s able to take them now, Connie will go on trial tomorrow. Along with Vanessa.”

“But if you feel you are still weak and not up for long conversations, I can tell them to come back later on.”

“No. It’s fine. Let’s end those witches now!”

Thank you
