Chasing His Muse

Chapter 10. The Trails of Exes

“So, you want to check out the studio? I think you will like it. You can paint there also.” He gently rubbed my arm.

“Why don’t we start the day like normal people, and have breakfast first? Let’s go, it’s been a while since I prepare my own meal. You can sketch me cooking if you want?” I teased him.

“Anyway, I have a lunch date with Regan, we have so much to catch up. I think Collin said some hurtful things to her. About she’s being gay, and he doesn’t want me to stay friends with her. But I love her. She’s part of my past. We used to be inseparable in college.” I started to get up and wore his shirt again. He was looking amused at me now.

I took my coffee and went to the kitchen, he followed behind me, after he put on his pants.

“Savory or sweet for the pancake?” I pulled out some flour and started mixing the batter. It had been a while, I missed doing this mundane stuff, around the house. It felt good to let your body do what seemed so natural, and not let your brain overthink every little thing, that was going on with your life.

“Whatever your having babe, I’m good either way, I’ve already had what I want for breakfast several times actually.” He winked at me smiling. I could feel the blush crept up from my neck to my face.

He laughed and continue with his sketches, looking at me then back to his pad.

I laid the pancakes with honey, butter, and Nutella, then refilled our coffee add mine with some skimmed milk.

I started moaning my breakfast. It had been so long that I had this honey, butter Nutella goodness. Collin never likes sweets, so I didn’t make them a lot. I took another bite and closed my eyes taking it all in.

“You really like sweets, do you? Maybe we should try something sweets next time.” He winked again.

Damn those are some sexy winks!

He started eating his. “Well, this is a good pancake. You sure know how to make them. It’s so fluffy, moist, and wet at the same time. I could eat it all out.” His voice was deep, seductive, and sexy at the same time. I quickly close my thigh. And he noticed it.

Fuck! This is going to be a long day!

He coughed, intentionally calling me back to the present. “So, what time you want me to pick you up? Five or six?” He asked.

“I think so, but I’ll text you again okay? I’m not sure how my schedule is with Regan. I don’t want our first hangout to be rushed?” I explained to him, hoping he’ll understand.

“Hey, it’s okay. Just take your time. I know I’m not a patient man. But I’ll try to be when I’m with you. So, I’ll wait for your text okay?” He kissed my cheek.

“So, before I leave you to Regan, do we still have time for a bath? Or do I have to shower back at my place alone, jerking off to the vision of you?” He grinned at me.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“You always know what to say, to a woman’s heart don’t you?” I laughed at him and looked at the clock. “Yes, we have time for a bath.”

“Great, why don’t you go set it up. I’ll wash the dishes here, and grab my spare clothes from the car.” He tugged me to his body and gave me one breathless kiss, that left me squirming, as he playfully slapped my ass to go to the upstairs bath.

Another steamy sex later, he was out the door. Telling me to text him later, for my visit to his studio.

Regan picked me up an hour later. We decided to go out for lunch. It had been a long time for me.

“So! Tell me about Brenton Adams, Damn woman! That is one sexy man you got there. It’s a miracle how you even manage to snatch his ass, in that place. Do you know the trails of exes he left behind? I’m still conflicted to advise you to get closer, or far away from him.” She sounded concerned.

“But with your background in art, I think there’s no fault in getting to know him. I like watching you paint again Nic. You always seem so happy when you do.” She looked at me and smiled.

“Well, about Brenton. You already know that he volunteered at the hospital, in their art class. Laura told me, to join the class and so I did. But when I started to sketch, it all came back to me. The way Collin would pester my drawings, how he would belittle me.” I shrugged at her, while she rubbed my palm and told me to continue.

“I had an episode that day. And he calmed me down. He just stayed there and be with me. Days later he would help me forget about Collin, in the most naughty way possible.” I started to giggle, and she just burst out laughing.

“My god! He moves fast doesn’t he?” She slapped her hand on the table laughing.

We talked some more, she made me realize how much I missed being outside. “You know, looking at you now, I would never guess you were depressed and hospitalized.”

“It’s Collin, he put me there. Oh, Regan. It quite a story, I was really giving up. To think about it now. I feel really stupid now. I don’t know how he manipulated me, to cut off all of my friends.” I shed a tear and she hugged me.

“Nic, hey! I’m so sorry. This is not what we get together for. We need to forget about that bastard. I don’t want you to talk about him again! Let’s just talk about Brenton?” She wiggled her eyebrows, making me laughed.

“Well, he’s asking me to be his muse.” I blurted to her.

“Well well… you got him hooked, don’t you? You sexy smart woman! I’m not just saying this, because you were my ex. But because you are, and that what draws me to you.” She winked and made kisses face at me, as we both laughed.

We talked about anything and everything for hours until she told me she would take me home, cause she had a dinner date with Leslie. We hugged and say goodbye, as she dropped me off at my place.
