Chapter 1
"Hen.....ry..... Henry, why.....have....you done this to.... me?" Roseline managed to ask while clutching her chest. Her voice quivered with a mix of disbelief, betrayal, and heartache as she struggled to comprehend the pain inflicted by Henry's action. The weight of betrayal pressed down on her, causing a surge of agony to course through her body. Her face completely turned pale and her pupils locked tightly as she stared at the man who had just stabbed her with a dagger. She could never imagine that she could be stabbed by the man she loved and trusted the most after all these years they've been together and today of all days that was their special day.
Where have things gone wrong? This wasn't how she imagined her blissful life to be with the man she loved.

A wedding anniversary was being held on a luxurious cruise ship. The entire ship was decorated with fancy lightning and different kinds of ribbons and flowers. The guests dressed in expensive attires sat down on the chairs, all smiles as they happily wined and dined. What's more romantic than having a joyful and dignified wedding anniversary for two young couples by the beautiful sea?
It was almost past midnight and since the necessary event for the anniversary had commenced in the morning the entire concept of the party had changed into a party in full swing.
The DJ was deafening enough to dominate the smooth and melodious sound of the waves of the sea, while the loud squeals and cheers from the partiers emanated delightful vibes all across the first floor of the cruise ship.
Most of the adult guests shook their heads in amusement as they watched the youngsters from different families turn into a different person from the once elegant and modest characters they always showed out.
A young woman holding a glass of white wine could be seen walking around the hall, thanking the remaining few guests that were still sitting in their seats. She was wearing a white, off-the-shoulder long dress with a little slit in the front, exposing a little bit of her beautiful long legs. Her dress perfectly hugged her curves revealing her sexy figure. She had beautiful black eyes fixated on the guests she was currently conversing with.
Although she doesn't have a drop-dead beautiful face that would make any man want to take a second look at her, her beauty was something everyone considered average. However, her captivating personality and charm were evident in the way she effortlessly commanded attention and engaged in meaningful conversations.
To them they always thought: So what if she isn't a beauty? She was blessed to have such a beautiful and sexy figure that even the most beautiful women don't have!
This woman who was slowly gaining attention from the lusty stares of most men in the hall was none other than Roseline Gray, the oldest daughter of the Gray family which was one of the richest families in California. She had been married to her lover and now husband, Henry Walker for four years and today they were celebrating their fourth year wedding anniversary.
"Haha, ver knew that Mrs. Walker was going to throw this kind of after party for young adults. They seem to be enjoying themselves." One of the guests that Roseline was greeting remarked with a smile on his face as he stared at the people dancing.
"I just thought of doing something different for us young adults to have some fun as well. I apologize if this has caused you any discomfort." Roseline replied in a modest and polite tone.
"Of course not. I'm quite glad to see that they have loosened up. We all know the amount of pressure adults put on youngsters nowadays to meet our expectations. You have just given them the opportunity to spread their wings and enjoy their time before they head back to their daily lives." The guest replied. No form of animosity was found in his words as he was genuinely glad.
Roseline forced a smile on her face when she heard the old man's response. Of course, even though he found it a good thing, Roseline didn't. She couldn't help but secretly frown at how loud and ear-deafening the music was.
This wasn't how she had envisioned and planned the wedding anniversary to be. She had wanted a simple, elegant and modest wedding anniversary but her younger sister- Sophia Gray had begged her endlessly to throw an after party like this for youngsters after the whole ceremony was done because she had a lot of friends she had invited over. As a result, Roseline couldn't refuse her sister's request seeing how the girl had been persistently begging her for a week before the party. She had always doted on Sophia and wanted to give her everything she wanted so she willingly agreed to it. Aside from also wanting to please Sophia, she also gave it some thought and realized that Sophia is more socialized than her so it was only normal, beside even Henry and agreed to it as well.
At this rate, she still couldn't help but frown because she didn't know that this was how loud the entire after-party would be and given the fact that she wasn't the kind that appreciates loud stuff like this.
Speaking of that, she hadn't seen both her husband and younger sister for over thirty minutes now, and she was the only one who had been greeting the guest since when it was supposed to be both her and Henry doing this stuff.
'Could those two be up to something again?' Roseline thought to herself but then a sweet smile creeped up on her face. Earlier, before Henry disappeared from her side, he had told her that he had a big surprise waiting for her and both him and Sophia and her family had prepared it specially for her.
