Chapter 13 You Don't Think I'm Good in Bed?
Chapter 13 You Don't Think I'm Good in Bed?
However, under the circumstances, Everly felt that she couldn't be frightened.
She tried to calm down. It seemed that Maverick didn't intend to say anything, so she said first, "Take it
up with me, not my brother. I'm the one to blame. Besides, you didn't keep your promise, didn't you?"
"Everly!" Hendrix was worried.
'The other day, Everly came out of the suite, saying that he just met Maverick's assistant.'
'It must be an excuse. It seemed that they became enemies at that time.'
'This girl was....'
"Hendrix, you can leave us alone. Mr. Maverick and I have something to talk."
Hendrix didn't move. Maverick was keeping a long face, and he had only said a few words. Hendrix
was worried.
Everly knew what Hendrix was thinking, "I'm ... drunk, so I was a little impulsive. Mr. Maverick and I do
have something to talk. I'll explain it to you later. You can leave us alone. This is a public place. He's a
man of status, so don't worry."
Hendrix wanted to say something.
However, Maverick moved his lips and spoke first, "Hendrix, I won't trade a woman for business
benefits. Your sister is an adult."
Hendrix's voice was calm as usual, yet it sounded unpleasant and sarcastic.
"Besides, look at what she's done. What do you think I could do to her?"
Maverick was looking at his own crotch. Hendrix also turned his eyes upon it. Seeing the wine on it,
Hendrix coughed to cover the awkward moment.
He agreed to leave them alone.
Before leaving, he whispered to Everly, "I'll wait for you outside."
Everly nodded.
The door closed, and there were only Maverick and Hendrix in the room.
There were fewer people, but it seemed to be more depressing.
Everly looked at the man's crotch.... It was embarrassing, but for some reason, she calmed down.
In fact, she didn't regret it. If Hendrix weren't here, hearing what the people said, she would slap
Maverick in the face instead of splashing the wine.
She was trying to do business, persuading Maverick to make investment. However, from what they
said, she was like a cheap girl.
'Because he's a man, he can break his promise?'
Everly didn't plan to let it go. She handed the glass of wine over again and said with a smile, "Mr.
Maverick, you look mad. Would you like to splash me?"
She thought for a moment, and then put on a faint smile, which he usually did, "I'm not drunk. I did go
too far. But what about you, Mr. Maverick?"
Maverick stared at her with cold eyes. He didn't say anything.
Everly felt ill at ease under his frightening gaze.
She frowned, "It's no use glaring at me. You can't kill people with your eyes."
Maverick was speechless.
'What was the woman thinking?'
The man lifted the corner of his mouth. His tone was not so gloomy as before. "Miss Everly, you seem
to feel that I owe you, so you rushed in and did all of this to me. With your working attitude, how did you
come to where you are?"
Everly felt wronged.
She was not usually like that.
She was pissed off today.
"I shouldn't knock on your door, but I just want to do business with you in a normal way. You, instead,
tell me to moan...." She blushed, so she paused before continuing, "Don't deny it. I heard what you said
on the phone. You're not interested in signing the investment contract at all. You used me and then
kicked me away!"
'A despicable, cunning businessman!'
Maverick sneered, "When did I promise you that I would definitely sign the contract? I only said that if
you satisfied me with moaning, I'd take a look at your proposal. And I did."
The man paused for a moment and said with disdain, "Miss Everly, do you know what happened in
LAL? If you don't know anything and yet come to me to persuade me to spend my money on a lost
cause, you are not bold. You are ignorant."
Hearing what he said, Everly was speechless. She felt angrier and more embarrassed.
She took a deep breath. Just as she was about to say something, the man stood up.
She was standing in front of him with a glass of wine.
They got closer when the man stood up.
His hand touched the glass in her hand by accident.
The red liquid shook for a moment, and then spilled out.
Maverick looked down. It was spilled on his shirt. He didn't care, because there was already some wine
on her crotch.
Everly was wearing a light-gray shirt. She left her coat in her private room. The wine was also spilled
on her shirt, and her black underwear became visible.
Maverick was stunned. He stared at the certain part of her body for a while and didn't want to look
away.
His eyes darkened. Because he was looking down, the long eyelashes made it difficult to tell what he
was thinking.
Everly had yet to discover that the wine was spilled on her.
She took a few steps back. Looking at the half glass of wine in her hand, she placed it on the table
beside her.
She wanted to finish this quickly, so she cut to the chase.
"I apologize to you. I'm hoping that Hendrix's business won't be impacted because of me. In the past
few years, I was not in City C, and there are many things that I don't know. Besides, I'm not in
management. How could I know about the internal issues? You fooled me before, so we get even."
She said that in a breath without looking at Maverick. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Then, she turned around, about to leave.
However, Maverick grabbed her wrist in the minute she turned.
Before Everly could see clearly, everything flashed past her eyes. She felt she was turned around.
Then, she was on the sofa.
She was stunned, looking up.
Maverick pulled the collar of his shirt with one hand and touched the metal buckle of his belt with the
other. Everly was sitting, and the man stood in front of him. She looked straight ahead and happened to
see his crotch. It was red.
She couldn't be more embarrassed.
She blushed in an instant.
And she looked away.
Maverick put his hands on the sofa beside her body. Everly didn't find herself moving back. Maverick
knelt between her legs.
Everly was dumbfounded.
"You don't think I can do it?" He asked with a smile.
His voice was deep and hoarse. She felt it sexy. It seemed not to be cold in the room. Instead, there
was ambiguity.
If he scolded her or made fun of her, she wouldn't be afraid.
But now he was like this.... Everly's heart was knocking, and she couldn't stop it.
"Why don't you say anything? You said a lot just now. Is your tongue tied?" His slender, long fingers
smelled like cigarettes, pinching her chin. Everly's eyes widened, forgetting to breathe.
The man looked down, staring at her eyes closely, "I'm asking you. You don't think I can do
it?"
