Chapter 106
Chapter 106
Skylar's eyes fell on the collar of Coralie's pajamas. He had gone too far the previous night and
accidentally left too many traces of lovemaking on her.
However, hearing Coralie say that she wasn't going out, Skylar also nodded. "Well, if you don't go out,
we can continue today."
Hearing him say that they could continue, Coralie's face turned even redder. She said angrily, "Stop
having these fantasies in broad daylight!"
Then, she pulled up her collar and went downstairs to make breakfast.
She was afraid that if she stayed any longer, he would eat her alive.
......
Although she said that she wouldn't go out in the morning, Skylar didn't want to let Coralie cook lunch
and dinner. Instead, he took her out for a meal.
For dinner, Skylar brought Coralie to a high-end private restaurant in the suburbs.
After driving for about an hour, the car finally arrived.
Just as the two of them had parked the car and were going to enter the restaurant, they saw three men
and a woman getting out of the car that was behind them. Coralie recognized one of them.
It was Franklin!
Franklin seemed unperturbed when he spotted Coralie and Skylar walking side by side. Instead, he
greeted them in a natural manner, "Coralie, President Holland."
According to etiquette, Franklin should have addressed Skylar as Uncle Skylar. However, he did not
like calling him uncle because their age gap was small.

Coralie remembered the last time Skylar had seen Franklin. It was during his birthday party. Two
months had passed since then.
Skylar ignored him. He stretched out his hand to pull Coralie into the restaurant.
Franklin didn't want to make a fool of himself and he did not continue talking to them.
As Skylar and Franklin were standing close to each other, the waiter asked, "Are you all together?"
"No,"
Skylar answered.
"Okay, please follow me,"
The waiter said.
Then, another waiter came and he brought Franklin to another private room.
Unfortunately, the private rooms they had booked were opposite each other.
Franklin was standing in front of the private room. He deliberately said, "President Holland, I'll come
and propose a toast to you later."
He said this on purpose.
Noticing the close relationship between Skylar and Coralie, he was not very happy.
After all, he used to like Valerie Rae and Valerie liked Skylar. Now, he felt that Coralie was not bad, but
Coralie was also with Skylar.
Franklin had always believed that all relationships did not go smoothly.
In his opinion, it was just a matter of time before Skylar's relationship turned sour.
Although Franklin said that he was going to propose a toast, he didn't show up when Skylar and
Coralie finished their dinner.
Coralie could not help but let out a sigh of relief.
......
When Skylar took Coralie home, she saw that the pharmacy at the entrance of the community was still
opened. She asked casually, "It was not a safe day for me yesterday. Should I go and buy some
contraceptive pills?"
In the past, she had made love to Skylar several times, and Coralie knew that they were basically
during the safe time period, so she didn't care too much about it.
However, she had casually calculated the time periods when she saw the pharmacy just now. The
previous night was a time period between her two menstrual cycles, and she could be ovulating.
Hearing this, Skylar's face turned cold. "What do you want to do?"
"We will only be together for a year. If I'm pregnant, the child will be born without a father."
Coralie wasn't sure if she could be with Skylar for a long time, even though they had a good
relationship now. After all, the differences between their identities, plus Lillian's disapproval, formed a
natural barrier between them. It was not easy for them to be together for a long time.
"Who said that he would have no father?" Skylar didn't intend to stop the car at all, and he drove into
the community. "If you're pregnant, then give birth to the child. The Holland family can afford to raise
the child."
Hearing this sentence, Coralie thought that the child would definitely have a father, but not necessarily
a mother.
The Hollands would certainly not allow their descendants to be wandering outside their family!
"Even if I were to give birth, I would not give up custody. I'll make that clear first."
Coralie was worried that if there was really a child, it would be so easy for the Holland family to fight for
custody.
On the other hand, she felt that she was worrying over nothing. Nowadays, there were many people
who went to the hospital for treatment on their infertility, so perhaps she wouldn't get pregnant so
easily.
Skylar listened to his wife talking about the issue of raising a child. He couldn't help frowning. "Where
do you get so many strange ideas in your mind?"
"I have to think about these issues. Your mother is so quiet now because she knows about the
agreement. She knows that I will leave in one year."
Coralie looked down at the emerald bracelet in her hand. Only Grandmother Holland was welcoming to
her, within the family
In fact, Skylar was embarrassed when Lillian was brought up in the conversation.
After all, Lillian was his mother. He could not do anything about this. However, he still comforted
Coralie, "Don't worry. Even if something happens in the future, I will stand by your side."
After all, Coralie was probably the most powerless person in the Holland family. If he didn't stand by her
side, she would definitely live a miserable life in the Holland family.
"Thank you."
Coralie bowed her head and thanked him. She didn't want to make trouble for him, but these matters
couldn't be changed no matter how hard she tried.
The two of them went home, and Skylar went upstairs to deal with some emails from his workplace.
Coralie was watching TV downstairs. On TV, there was a legal program, which was about the fight
between a husband and a wife for the children's custody.
Although their problems were different from hers, Coralie felt inexplicably connected to it, and she
began to think about things.
The more she thought about these matters, the more she felt that she could not get pregnant at this
time.
Coralie took a glass of water and went upstairs to send it to the study. After making sure that Skylar
was still engrossed in his work, Coralie took the access card and her wallet. She walked quickly to the
pharmacy at the entrance of the community.
"Give me some emergency contraception pills, uh... the type that works for 24 hours." When the
shopkeeper handed the medicine to her, Coralie looked at the time and then looked at the description
on the pills. She asked, "If 24 hours have passed, is this effective? Do I need to buy the type that lasts
for 48 hours?"
The shopkeeper looked at her and said, "Then change it to 48 hours."
As he spoke, he took out another box and gave it to her.
After Coralie paid the money, she asked the shopkeeper, "Can you give me a glass of water?"
Many people had taken medicine in this store. The shopkeeper filled a disposable paper cup with warm
water and handed it to Coralie.
Coralie read the description of this medicine again carefully. She opened the package and put the pill in
her mouth. She hadn't gulped down the water yet...
"Slap!"
Someone gave her a hard pat on the back.
Before she could close her mouth, she was slapped by someone. In an instant, she spat out the pill
and spilled the water all over the floor.
A man's angry voice came from behind. "What medicine are you taking?"
His words caused shivers to go down Coralie's spine...
