Chapter 101
Chapter 101
“Insufficient balance?!
How’s this possible?”
Gianna thought in shock as she hurried to check the balance.
It was clearly shown on the screen that the balance in Wayne’s account was $0.04.
Gianna was in great shock.
“4 cents?
Is this idiot Wayne joking with me?” Gianna thought in disbelief.
“Wayne Lee, get up! Get up!” Gianna tried to drag Wayne from the ground and angrily asked him to
explain.
Unexpectedly, Wayne hated being disturbed while sleeping soundly, so he slapped Gianna hard, and
she fell to the other
side.
“F*** off. Don’t disturb my sleep!”
“Wayne Lee!”
Gianna flew into a rage.
Loath to give up, she lowered her head and swiped through Wayne’s phone again, trying to find other
bank accounts.
However, Gianna found that except for a credit card, this idiot Wayne had no a**ets at all. He was
simply a pauper. She might even have to pay for the cab to send him home later because he had no
money at all!
At the thought of it, Gianna felt aggrieved.
Gianna was so angry that she directly threw the phone at Wayne’s face and left without looking back.
“This stupid pig! Just die there! I don’t want to care about him!” thought Gianna.
She was wearing thin clothes. It was late autumn, and winter was coming, so it was cold in Melburgh.
She began to shiver with cold after walking for a short distance.
Just as Gianna was hesitating about whether to return to the bar, a silver van suddenly halted in front
of her.
When she was about to scold the van’s driver for being blind, she was directly yanked into the van by
two people.
“Who the hell are you? Let me go! Let me go!”
Gianna was scared out of her wits, but instead of getting the answer to her question, her mouth and
nose were covered by an anesthetic–soaked towel.
In just a few seconds, Gianna lost consciousness.
When Olivia and Gideon came here after knowing the location of Gianna, they happened to see
Gianna being taken away.
Olivia had wanted to negotiate with Gianna, but it seemed that Olivia’s plan needed to be postponed.
“Miss Clarke, they don’t have many people. If we go to snatch her from those people now, we’ll
certainly succeed. Do you
want to…”
“There’s no need. Let’s find out who they are first. Gianna has so many enemies. Just keep an eye on
her and don’t let her get killed.”
“Okay, Miss Clarke.”
Gideon immediately took out his phone and gave the orders.
Olivia looked out of the car window. There happened to be people selling cotton candy on the street.
She thought it would be good to buy some cotton candy for Luci and Ezra so that she wouldn’t have
come out in vain at such a late night.
cotton candy and then stepped out of the car.
Thinking of this, Olivia told Gideon that she needed to buy the c
Olivia chose two skewers of raspberry–flavored cotton candy and two strawberry–flavored ones. As
soon as she paid the money and was about to leave, she felt that one skewer of the cotton candy in
her hand had been taken away.
Olivia couldn’t believe there would be someone who robbed her of cotton candy.
She looked over in confusion and saw William holding the cotton candy and taking a bite of it.
“William?”
10:31
“Hello, Miss Clarke!” William looked at Olivia, grinning.
Olivia couldn’t help but feel goosebumps all over her when she saw William act so silly.
“Are you drunk?” Olivia felt something was wrong with William and asked him.
Although it was late at night, Olivia could still see that William’s face was a little red in the dim light.
Worried that he was having a fever again, Olivia subconsciously reached out her dainty fair hand to feel
his forehead.
Fortunately, William didn’t have a fever. It seemed that he just had drunk too much.
“But why is he here alone?
Where’s Marshall?” wondered Olivia.
Olivia looked around as she thought of this.
The drunk William seemed to be unusually obedient. Not only did he look at Olivia with a silly smile, but
he also allowed Olivia to touch his forehead meekly. He even grabbed her hand tightly and refused to
let go, just like a child.
What he was doing reminded Olivia of the time when she was sick, and Ezra had kept holding her hand
with concern.
Ezra was only five years old, while this guy was almost 30!
“Miss Clarke, I’m a little sleepy. Can you take me home?”
Olivia was speechless.
Glancing at the cotton candy in her hand, Olivia started to regret getting out of the car.
But since she had bumped into William on the street, she couldn’t leave him here alone. She had no
choice but to take him back to her car first.
After putting William in the back seat, Olivia returned to the front seat and swiped through the contacts
on her phone.
She remembered she seemed to have saved Marshall’s number before.
Eventually, Olivia failed to find Marshall’s contact information, so she could only make a voice call to
Jameson on Skype.
However, she called him several times and no one answered.
“Miss Clarke, it’s getting late. Why don’t we take Mr. Kinsman back to Maple Villas first?”
“That’s all we can do.” Olivia had no choice but to accept it. She subconsciously turned around and
glanced at William.
This guy was focused on eating the strawberry–flavored cotton candy when he noticed Olivia look back
at him.
He then gave her an innocent and charming smile, even looking a little shy.
In truth, William looked attractive when he smiled, but when Olivia had been with him back then, he
would always frown.
He was cold and aloof like Hades, and no one dared to offend him.
At the thought of the past, Olivia felt William was a little cute right now.
“But I just don’t know whether Mr. Kinsman would sink into the ground with shame when he sobers up
later and finds how childish he has become when he’s drunk!”
Olivia wondered curiously, so without hesitation, she recorded a short video of William with her phone.
Olivia couldn’t help but giggle when she saw William cooperating with her to shoot in a silly way.
“What an embarra**ing moment of William! Interesting!” Olivia laughed inwardly.
Gideon drove the car to Maple Villas.
William had been eating cotton candy all the way. Since he had gotten off the car, he had been staring
at the other three skewers of cotton candy in Olivia’s hands.
Olivia could tell that he wanted to eat them.
Seeing his pitiful look, Olivia could not help but comfort him.
“It’s too late now. You can’t eat so many sweet snacks. Shall we eat these tomorrow?” Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
This man was behaving so childishly that Olivia even had an illusion that she had another son!
William looked a little unhappy. He sat on the sofa and refused to talk to Olivia.
Olivia saw his displeasure, so she had no choice but to heat up two gla**es of chocolate milk. She sat
down beside him and

inserted straws into the milk.
“You can’t eat more cotton candy, but chocolate milk is fine. Cheers!”
Olivia kept coaxing the childish man.
William took a gla** of chocolate milk, toasted Olivia, and drank it happily.
Feeling that William was no longer upset, Olivia secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
“You’re injured. Why did you still drink so much? Can you take good care of yourself?”
William only remained silent and focused on drinking his milk.
“By the way, how’s your wound? Can you let me see it?”
William nodded obediently.
“Good boy!” Olivia was immersed in her role and gently stroked William’s head as she spoke.
“Well, it doesn’t feel as good as Ezra’s head.
His hair is too hard!” Olivia thought as she caressed his head.
With William’s permission, Olivia carefully unbuttoned his shirt to check his wound.
She heaved a sigh of relief after confirming that the wound did not split open or get inflamed.
As William drank up the hot chocolate milk, Olivia planned to let William sleep on the sofa bed in her
bedroom tonight.
She had wanted him to sleep on the first floor, but she was worried that he would mess around in the
house if he couldn’t fall asleep, so she had to allow William to sleep in her room for one night.
Ten minutes later, Olivia finished making the sofa bed and told William to lie down before she went to
the bathroom to wash up.
William was lying obediently on the sofa bed when his phone rang in his pocket.
It was a message from Jameson: [William, how’s it going? Does Olivia believe you?]
