The CEO's Return (Tracy and Alex)

Chapter Nineteen

Chapter Nineteen

Alex

"You are in big trouble man, we should be rejoicing and I should be congratulating you now, but then

look what your pride has caused," James said after I explained everything to him.

"Shouldn't you be trying to help me find a solution?"

"Solution to what? You did something wrong, why should I be the one to find the solution for you?, I

should be boasting about being a godfather to two lovely children now, you snatched that opportunity

from me and you are expecting me to help you find a solution to your mess?"

"Well yes, should I mess everything up more than I already did?"

"You are such a crazy dude."

"I know, now would you please help me?."

"Sure, what does Tracy like?, Clothes, shoes, bags?"

"Tracy is not that kind of girl, she is not obsessed with clothes, shoes, or bags, all she wants is to be

seen as the strong person she is, to be loved in her weakness, the littlest thing gets her excited, take

her to an aquarium or park, buy her ice cream from the sprinklers make it chocolate, cuddle with her,

watch movies with her even if she'd finish the popcorn before you get fifteen minutes into the movie,

play games with her and compliment her, get her books and listen to her complain about each

character in the book, oh lord what have I done I miss my wife so much!"

"Listen to yourself sounding like a pathetic writer, you described her as an easy-going and simple lady

but you said those harsh things to her, I pray she forgives you."

"What do you think I should do?"

"I'm not sure, buy the things she likes, and some things for the kids, visit them and try to talk it out with

her."

"I pray that works."

"You'd be visiting them tomorrow then."

"Yes, I would."

I barely had any sleep that night because I was anxious, I kept practicing what I'd tell Tracy and my

children, during this process I realized I didn't know their name, I scolded myself for being a bad father, NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

then I continued practicing what I'd say to them.

I woke up early, not like I got any sleep but then I woke up early, James accompanied me to the gift

store and assisted me in getting gifts for my kids, I got books for my wife.

I had to go to Tracy's place alone because James refused, he said he didn't want Tracy to see him with

me yet. I dropped by the sprinklers and got chocolate ice cream with chocolate toppings, hoping the

twins would like it."

When I got there I left the gifts in the car, carrying the ice cream alone, I said a silent prayer and I

pressed the doorbell, Tracy opened the door a few seconds after, when she saw me she tried to close

the door but I held it open preventing her from closing it.

"What do you want?" She asked glaring at me

"Tracy please, let's talk."

"About what?"

"About everything."

"We are clear on everything you want to say now, so please leave Alex."

"Tracy, I know I've said a lot of things, but trust me I'm here to try to make amend, please." I pleaded,

she stared at me for a while like she was scanning my mind then she opened the door, I took that as a

cue so I entered.

She led me into the sitting room, everywhere looked very small but then I knew I was not there to

comment on how the house was looking.

"What do you want?" She asked but before I could respond, the twins came downstairs arguing with

each other.

"I own the blue T-shirt!" The boy said

"I own the blue T-shirt!" The girl replied

"Micheal!, Michelle!, Would you behave yourself?"

"Sorry mummy." They both apologized making my heart melt.

"Have you greeted our guest?"

"Good morning sir." They both greeted but I couldn't trust my voice to work so I nodded.

"Now listen to me, you both own a blue T-shirt, if you are going to be a good boy and girl, go upstairs

and finish your homework, then I might give you cookies."

"Okay mummy."

They both rushed upstairs immediately, leaving me surprised at how Tracy easily controlled them.

"What do you want?" Tracy asked again

"Why didn't you tell me they are our children?"

"Did you ask me if they are our children?"

"Okay, it's all my fault, I'm sorry, forgive me, please."

"Wow, you left me and for over six years, your children grew up without you and for the first time

yesterday they asked of their father, and you are here asking me to forgive you just like that? You must

be kidding." She said folding her arms

"Tracy please, I know it is not easy, but please find a place in your heart to forgive me, how can I live

without you? I'm very sorry, please forgive me Tee."

"Don't call me that, you have no right to do that, I'm sure it would be easier for you to live if you

continue to accuse me of infidelity and continue to call your children another man's."

"Tracy, please, I'm sorry, I'm not asking that you forgive me immediately I'm just asking that you

consider forgiving me, I know I said a lot of things and I'm very sorry, please let me talk to our children

please, let them know their father, please." I swallowed my pride and dropped on my knees before her.

She stared at me like she did earlier but she didn't say anything.

"Please." I pleaded

"Please stand, I don't want my kids to see you like this, you can talk to them but don't tell them you are

their father, I don't want you hurting my children like you hurt their mother."

"Thank you." It is not what I want but then it was a good start.

Tracy called them and they came downstairs, sweet kids they were very polite.

"Hi."

"Hello." They answered looking unsure.

"Do you like ice cream?" I asked and they nodded

"Well, if it is chocolate ice cream," Michelle said

"With chocolate toppings," Micheal added I see they took after their mother and father.

"Good thing I bought this then," I said raising the ice cream.

"Is that chocolate ice cream?" Michelle asked and I nodded

"With chocolate toppings?" Micheal asked and I nodded again

"That's our favorite!"

"My favorite too."

"Thank you!" They said and I handed it to them and they in turn handed it to their mum

"I have something for you outside," I said and they looked at their mother seeking approval.

"Sure, let me put this in the fridge then we can all go outside."

She put the ice cream in the kitchen and we all went outside, they were very happy when I opened the

booth and they saw the toys.

I helped them get the toy inside and I left them to open them.

"I got something for you too."

"You didn't have to."

"Tee..."

"I'm sure you must be busy and you are leaving now, thank you for the gifts, and please don't try to

meet my kids without my permission." She said and left to sit with the kids.

I said my goodbye and left happy that I got to meet and talk to my kids, everything felt right, but deep

down I knew everything was not right because Tracy was not planning on making it easy for me.
