Chapter 18 - Umbrella, Ella... Ella...
Chapter 18 - Umbrella, Ella... Ella...
I arrived at the location Ron sent me in... too longer than five minutes. It was really really hard to drive
there. Especially with all the wrong turns I took!
"That is where you want to hang out?" I asked him the moment I saw him. It was really not your usual
hangout spot.
"I need to get something, so why not let you join me?" He wiggled his brows and started walking
towards the street market. I was not going to lie, this place was gorgeous. It was so busy, lively and so All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
colourful. People were selling anything you could imagine!
We kept skimming along vendors and got some cotton candy. I was eating too much sweets for a star
who had to keep fit! We stopped several times. Most of it because I was marvelling at something! Other
times because we were doing goofy things like trying way too large sunglasses or cowboy hats!
"This would look beautiful on a girl like you." An old man selling flower tiaras said. I smiled at him, took
it and put it on my head.
"How do I look?" I asked Ron, turning towards him and doing a little curtsy. He chuckled.
"Now, all you need is a prince, my princess."
"Maybe I do have one." I winked. I then turned and paid for the tiara, I was keeping it!
"We're here," Ron exclaimed the moment we reached an old music shop. I should have known we'd go
somewhere related to music. I paid very good attention to what Ron was asking about, it was an
acoustic guitar. He wanted this specific one that you couldn't find anywhere else but he didn't get it.
Even though I saw that he wanted it!
"So we came here for no reason?" I asked him as we exited the shop.
"Technically..." He trailed. Okay, something was wrong!
"Do you think we can return to that ice cream cart?" I asked cheerfully.
"Do you always think of desserts?" I glared at him. "That was the wrong thing to say." He smiled
nervously. Good, he should be.
"Yup. And now I'm mad." I crossed my arms and acted as serious as I could.
"Sorry?" He asked.
"Are you?" I raised a brow,
"Yes! Absolutely." He stated. Who was I to say no to that face? Those eyes were mesmerizing, I was
hypnotized.
"Am I forgiven yet?" He asked smirking.
"Nope!" I shook my head "Still owe me an ice cream." I shoved my finger into his chest. He nodded and
we skipped to the ice cream cart at the centre of a circular area.
We sat at one of the benches there while eating our icecreams. I was eating a chocolate chip ice cream
while Ron got one with thin mints.
"Let's play thirty questions," Ron said out of nowhere.
"Isn't that too many?" I mumbled with my mouth full.
"Twenty?" I shook my head. "Okay, ten and that's final." I shrugged.
"I'll ask the things I don't already know... let's start easy... okay favourite food?"
"Sushi but also pizza. I can never choose between them. You?"
"I like pasta. Who's your favourite sibling?"
"They're both bad!" I chuckled lightly. We continued our game of asking back and forth and at the end,
we did ask more than ten. Time was seriously flying, I didn't even feel it when it got that late.
"When I get that guitar, I'll make you listen to it. Either you liked it or not." I could practically hear his
smirk through his words.
I turned around to look at him. He was suddenly close. Like really too freaking close. Totally invading
my personal space, not that I actually minded. His minty breath sending shivers down my spine. His
emerald orbs piercing through me. I found myself mesmerized, *again*! He looked up at the sky cutting
me out of my trance.
"We need to get out of here before the rain starts t-" On cue, lightning struck and shortly after we could
hear thunder roaring and we were soaked. "Oh well, fuck." He chuckled. "Care to dance?" He smirked
and I smiled smugly in return taking his hand.
I giggled when he pulled me up started swaying us and twirling me. We danced under the rain getting
more and more soaked. But I didn't mind! It was perfect especially with no one stepping on another's
feet.
"You know, you do owe me this dance." He whispered, his breath fanning my ear. A blush crept up to
my cheeks, good thing it was dark.
"Do I?" I smiled.
"Yup." He exclaimed popping the P. Oh well, he could have asked Cinnamon for a dance! Wouldn't
have made much difference. Or... I didn't know!
The next day I woke up reciting what I would say to Louis when I met him! I had nightmares about it
and it wasn't good! At all! I had my morning coffee which mom made me and had the fastest breakfast
ever since I woke up pretty late. I looked at my watch and to my surprise, I wouldn't make it on time.
"Iaaaan!" I screamed; he came running downstairs looking as horrified as ever. Hehe! Wait! What did
he do? No, it wasn't time for any of this. I had to focus. "We need to get to my meet and greet, right
now!" I pleaded.
"On it, sis!" He saluted and ran to get his keys while I headed to the garage. It would save us more time
if we hurry in everything.
He was driving like a maniac as always. At least this time I had the safety of sitting in a car. In addition
to the blessing of having a seatbelt.
Note to self: Never let him drive you on his motorcycle ever again!
I was just on time! Yuppi!
When I met Aurora, she looked at her watch in a surprised manner. I smirked at her. I should get Ian to
drive me more! But C'mon, why was she so surprised, I would never be late to such an event. I would
love every second of it, I was sure!
You know the saying that good times pass faster? That was exactly what happened!
It was a swirl of events. Everyone was so excited even me, and thank God; no paparazzi. Or at least
that was what I thought. No one asked stupid questions about my mask, though they did ask about
Louis. People couldn't seem to mind their own business even when I clearly stated that he was not my
boyfriend. Or anything for that matter.
Everything was perfect until Sky decided to show up with Adam. I mean ugh, really? That wasn't even
the bad part, the bad part was when she said my voice was familiar. I had a mini panic attack but I
contained it.
Now I had one more thing to do before I could finally sleep the night off. Meet with the devil, AKA Louis.
Ugh! I headed to some room in the building, private enough for this but not to private to get us even
more attention and unwanted rumours.
"Hey Louis, please sit down." I gestured to the seat facing mine, sounding as nice as ever. I hated that!
"It's nice to see you again." Not! I wanted to barf at my own words.
"It's nice to hear you calling me by my name." He replied. So, someone had their ego crushed from
being called a kid. Oh well, who cared? "So am I here cause you missed me, baby?" I almost snorted
but I had to keep the ladylike attitude.
"No," I replied firmly; my words had to register in that thick skull of his. "Now tell me, what have you
been up to these days?" I asked with my charming as ever tone.
"Oh, you know, nothing special beside reporters asking me about you. But I'm a gentleman so I didn't
tell them what they wanted to know." So, reporters did meet him, even after I scared one of them off!
He leaned forward in his seat. "I'll only tell you, baby."
"I'm all ears," I replied trying not to rip his head off. I needed to stay calm until I knew what he was up to
exactly.
"Well, you know how tried to sneak into your room?" How could I forget? That was the reason all this
trouble erupted in the first place. "Well... I saw a glimpse of inside the room." But there was nothing in,
right? "And um... a book, that I know only our school use it. For seniors only to be more specific." He
paused hoping to get a reaction to confirm his assumption. No, I wouldn't give him that. I wouldn't look
surprised even though I was surprised as hell! I didn't even know what school used what books. "So,
this means that maybe I know you behind that mask, maybe we're friends... right?" Nope, believe me,
we were not. He relaxed into the chair before completing. "You know I'm actually pretty close to
discovering your identity. It's a matter of time before I notice who is the only girl who's always not in any
of your concerts, you know."
Damn shit was right!
